The evolution of technologies has allowed that every day more and more games are available on our mobile devices. These games have evolved in many ways depending on their field of application. Thus, one of those kinds of games is pervasive games1(PG). Each one of those fields has its own features and targets, which is the reason why researchers have defined pervasive games in many different ways. This is comprehensible from a technical point of view because each research field needs to implement their own properties. In this paper, we present a general overview of the meaning of pervasive games in different areas in order to check and collect their particularities. We also give a conceptual relationship diagram and a general definition that considers the user's pervasive experience found in the results of game experience design. © 2017 Association for Computing Machinery.

This article discusses the main problems associated with information security in corporate networks and ensuring the reliable operation of information systems and the services they provide. Information security is understood as the security of information resources and information systems, as well as the supporting infrastructure from accidental or deliberate influences of a natural or artificial nature, fraught with harm to the owners or users of information resources. Currently, there are major changes in information security issues. They relate to the methods of work of attackers, the conditions of crimes commited in the computer sphere, as well as the consequences of illegal activities.

By considering the Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) schemes, this paper focuses on secure transmission model design in multiple-input-single-output (MISO) channels. In these channels, the channel state information is assumed to be perfect. Our objective is to maximize the worst-case secrecy rate with respect to both potential eavesdroppers and obvious eavesdroppers under the constraints of energy-harvesting and total transmission power. We present an optimization model to indirectly obtain maximum security rate in a single receiver system. Due to the high computational complexity of the solution process caused by the formulated non-convex optimization problem, we propose a novel indirect method to handle this issue. Then, a Semi-Definite Programming (SDP) relaxation method is used to approach the optimal solution. Moreover, we reveal the conditions for ensuring that the above semi-definite relaxation is compact. Simulation results demonstrate that the gained performance in our system is much better than those of the existing competing schemes.

The tutorial should be seen as a forum for the interchange of experience and learnings from combining both approaches and should raise awareness for the importance of human-centered methods and experimentation in early phases of software engineering. After the tutorial, the participants get access to all materials, templates, and methods on our website for further usage.

Enterprises develop, produce, and distribute their products and services nowadays in complex and increasingly digital business ecosystems consisting of business partners, suppliers, competitors, start-ups, public institutions, and costumers. These business ecosystems exhibit a high dynamic: new actors enter and leave the ecosystem continuously. Thus, for enterprise business and IT strategy the knowledge about and active design of the business ecosystems are gaining more relevance. Various stakeholders within the enterprise need to collaborate to achieve a holistic understanding of the ecosystem, all with different requirements towards the ecosystem model. As visualizations have proven to support stakeholders in fulfilling their ecosystem related tasks, the aim of this research project is the modeling and visualizing of business ecosystems addressing the identified challenges.

The voluntary use of private device by employees without formal approval of the IT department, commonly termed Shadow IT, is an increasingly widespread phenomenon. In this paper, we study the role of private smartphones (and related applications like WhatsApp) in knowledge-intensive practices in the manufacturing domain. With an in-depth case study based on data gained from observations and interviews, we are able to empirically illustrate why workers use their private smartphones (contrary to company guidelines) and how they find significant gains of productivity by using the ‘forbidden’ applications. Our study contributes to knowledge management research by showing how private IT use can change existing knowledge management practices. At the same time, we are able to give rich insights into the rise of Shadow IT in a manufacturing context which takes place in a self-organised way without knowledge of the management. This enables us to take a step towards a knowledge management strategy perspective on Shadow IT. © 2017 Proceedings of the 25th European Conference on Information systems, ECIS 2017. This paper presents the algorithm of modelling and analysis of Latent Semantic Relations inside the argumentative type of documents collection. The novelty of the algorithm consists in using a systematic approach: in the combination of the probabilistic Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and Linear Algebra based Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) methods;in considering each document as a complex of topics, defined on the basis of separate analysis of the particular paragraphs. The algorithm contains the following stages: modelling and analysis of Latent Semantic Relations consistently on LDA- and LSA-based levels;rules-based adjustment of the results of the two levels of analysis. The verification of the proposed algorithm for subjectively positive and negative Polish-language film reviews corpuses was conducted. The level of the recall rate and precision indicator, as a result of case study, allowed to draw the conclusions about the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2017, Springer International Publishing AG.

Monitoring Industrial Cyber-Physical systems (ICPSs) is increasingly becoming essential, which requires the development of new approaches to capture data from an ICPS for visualization, automated analyses, decision making, and anomaly detection. Towards this end, first, we present requirements for enabling personalized data visualization for monitoring evolving ICPS during its operation. Such requirements were identified from our experience of designing and developing an industrial Automated Warehouse (AW). Second, the identified requirements were validated with a questionnaire-based survey by soliciting views of industry experts from the software Monitoring systems and Data Visualizations domains. Based on the analysis of the survey results, the need of developing personalized ICPS monitoring systems was confirmed as a step forward to enable the efficient detection of anomalies, improvement in productivity, and providing a better overview of the monitored ICPSs. Third, we developed a model-based visualization system (named as PAVS) for monitoring ICPSs, which conforms to the identified requirements, and was validated it with a dataset collected from a real AW developed by our industrial partner: ULMA Handling System, Spain. In the end, we also provide a set of lessons learned when PAVS was transferred to ULMA.
