To create a completely immersive, highly spatiotemporal, and self-sustaining virtual shared place for humans to play, work, and interact, the Metaverse is an emerging paradigm of the next-generation Internet. Metaverse is transitioning from science fiction to a near-future reality thanks to recent developments in new technologies like extended reality, artificial intelligence, and *** this study, we investigate the Metaverse, a shared, fully immersive virtual environment that could serve as a model for the Internet’s future generation. Safety, education, games, entertainment, social effects, the economy, ethics, and future issues are just few of the many areas covered. The Metaverse’s innovative tools for communication and collaboration may have a profound impact on people’s daily lives and the way society operates as a whole. However, there are obstacles that must be addressed before it can be implemented. If the Metaverse is accepted, a far different digital future is possible. © 2023 Authors. All rights reserved.

Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.

Phishing,an Internet fraudwhere individuals are deceived into revealing critical personal and account information,poses a significant risk to both consumers and web-based *** indicates a persistent rise in phishing ***,these fraudulent schemes are progressively becoming more intricate,thereby rendering them more challenging to ***,it is imperative to utilize sophisticated algorithms to address this *** learning is a highly effective approach for identifying and uncovering these harmful *** learning(ML)approaches can identify common characteristics in most phishing *** this paper,we propose an ensemble approach and compare it with six machine learning techniques to determine the type of website and whether it is normal or not based on two phishing *** that,we used the normalization technique on the dataset to transform the range of all the features into the same *** findings of this paper for all algorithms are as follows in the first dataset based on accuracy,precision,recall,and F1-score,respectively:Decision Tree(DT)(0.964,0.961,0.976,0.968),Random Forest(RF)(0.970,0.964,0.984,0.974),Gradient Boosting(GB)(0.960,0.959,0.971,0.965),XGBoost(XGB)(0.973,0.976,0.976,0.976),AdaBoost(0.934,0.934,0.950,0.942),Multi Layer Perceptron(MLP)(0.970,0.971,0.976,0.974)and Voting(0.978,0.975,0.987,0.981).So,the Voting classifier gave the best *** in the second dataset,all the algorithms gave the same results in four evaluation metrics,which indicates that each of them can effectively accomplish the prediction ***,this approach outperformed the previous work in detecting phishing websites with high accuracy,a lower false negative rate,a shorter prediction time,and a lower false positive rate.

Hybrid Fuzzy Data Aggregation and Optimization-Based Routing for Energy Efficiency in Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are networks with many sensor nodes that are utilized for various purposes, including the military and medical. In hazardous circumstances, precise data aggregation and routing are essential, and the energy consumption of the sensors needs to be closely controlled. Nonetheless, there is a significant chance of redundant data because of external factors and nearby sensors. A multitude of information can be found in large datasets, some of it unnecessary and others useful. This redundancy negatively impacts performance in terms of redundant transmission and computing costs. However, data aggregation might help a network get rid of unnecessary data. In this work, we present a hybrid protocol called fuzzy data aggregation with fuzzy spider monkey optimization routing protocol (FDA-FSMORP) that represents an intelligent approach to collecting sensor data in HWSNs considering energy consumption. The results indicated that the suggested method beat in minimizing data latency our approach reduced energy consumption by 73% using energy more effectively when compared to our simulated outcomes. © 2024 Slovene Society Informatika. Design of a Multifactor Unidentified Remote End User Authentication Mechanism for IoT Network

The rapid proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, coupled with the rollout of advanced 5G networks, has generated significant concerns regarding security breaches. These concerns stem from the expanded attack surfaces that come with improved connectivity, making IoT systems more vulnerable to malicious threats. A crucial strategy to counter these security challenges is the implementation of robust user authentication methods. Despite numerous proposals for multi-factor authentication mechanisms, many of these systems exhibit weaknesses, particularly in their susceptibility to user impersonation attacks and the risks posed by stolen mobile devices. Furthermore, several schemes fail to incorporate essential features such as session key agreements or backup solutions for instances of lost or stolen devices and compromised private keys. To address urgent security challenges in IoT environments, we developed a three-factor user authentication system tailored for low-cost IoT devices. This system tackles critical vulnerabilities while maintaining low computing and communication costs, enhancing security without compromising usability and efficiency. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika. Emotion Recognition in Conversations(ERC)is fundamental in creating emotionally ***-BasedNetwork(GBN)models have gained popularity in detecting conversational contexts for ERC ***,their limited ability to collect and acquire contextual information hinders their *** propose a Text Augmentation-based computational model for recognizing emotions using transformers(TA-MERT)to address *** proposed model uses the Multimodal Emotion Lines Dataset(MELD),which ensures a balanced representation for recognizing human *** used text augmentation techniques to producemore training data,improving the proposed model’s *** encoders train the deep neural network(DNN)model,especially Bidirectional Encoder(BE)representations that capture both forward and backward contextual *** integration improves the accuracy and robustness of the proposed ***,we present a method for balancing the training dataset by creating enhanced samples from the original *** balancing the dataset across all emotion categories,we can lessen the adverse effects of data imbalance on the accuracy of the proposed *** results on the MELD dataset show that TA-MERT outperforms earlier methods,achieving a weighted F1 score of 62.60%and an accuracy of 64.36%.Overall,the proposed TA-MERT model solves the GBN models’weaknesses in obtaining contextual data for ***-MERT model recognizes human emotions more accurately by employing text augmentation and transformer-based *** balanced dataset and the additional training samples also enhance its *** findings highlight the significance of transformer-based approaches for special emotion recognition in conversations.

Dynamic UAV Deployment in Multi-UAV Wireless Networks: A Multi-Modal Feature-Based Deep Reinforcement Learning Approach

The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) as aerial base stations has attracted increasing research interest in recent years. A key challenge in this field is determining how to deploy multiple UAVs in dynamic environments, particularly where mobile user demands fluctuate. To address this challenge, this paper presents an adaptive UAV deployment scheme in a dynamic multi-UAV wireless network, considering the mobility of UAVs and users, state variability, and adjustable UAV transmission power. By jointly optimizing the UAVs’ operational modes, transmission power levels, and movement strategies, our objective is to achieve a trade-off between minimizing power consumption and maximizing ground user coverage. A Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) approach is proposed to address these challenges. To capture the dynamic variations of users and UAVs in the environment, a multi-modal feature state space is designed, consisting of both a multi-channel image and vectors. The image component integrates real-time data on user distribution and the UAV coverage area, while the vectors represent UAV operational modes, position data, and system temporal information. These multi-modal features are processed using a combination of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Multilayer Perceptrons (MLPs) for advanced feature extraction. To enhance training stability and efficiency, the proposed approach updates parameters using the Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) method. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in balancing power consumption and coverage while effectively managing system dynamics. © 2014 IEEE.
