With the popularity of e-learning,personalization and ubiquity have become important aspects of online *** make learning more personalized and ubiquitous,we propose a learner model for a query-based personalized learning recommendation *** contextual attributes characterize a learner,but considering all of them is costly for a ubiquitous learning *** this paper,a set of optimal intrinsic and extrinsic contexts of a learner are identified for learner modeling.A total of 208 students are ***(Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory)technique is used to establish the validity and importance of the identified contexts and find the interdependency among *** acquiring methods of these contexts are also *** the basis of these contexts,the learner model is designed.A layered architecture is presented for interfacing the learner model with a query-based personalized learning recommendation *** a ubiquitous learning scenario,the necessary adaptive decisions are identified to make a personalized recommendation to a learner.

Instrument-tissue Interaction Detection Framework for Surgical Video Understanding

Instrument-tissue interaction detection task, which helps understand surgical activities, is vital for constructing computer-assisted surgery systems but with many challenges. Firstly, most models represent instrument-tissue interaction in a coarse-grained way which only focuses on classification and lacks the ability to automatically detect instruments and tissues. Secondly, existing works do not fully consider relations between intra- and inter-frame of instruments and tissues. In the paper, we propose to represent instrument-tissue interaction as 〈instrument class, instrument bounding box, tissue class, tissue bounding box, action class〉 quintuple and present an Instrument-Tissue Interaction Detection Network (ITIDNet) to detect the quintuple for surgery videos understanding. Specifically, we propose a Snippet Consecutive Feature (SCF) Layer to enhance features by modeling relationships of proposals in the current frame using global context information in the video snippet. We also propose a Spatial Corresponding Attention (SCA) Layer to incorporate features of proposals between adjacent frames through spatial encoding. To reason relationships between instruments and tissues, a Temporal Graph (TG) Layer is proposed with intra-frame connections to exploit relationships between instruments and tissues in the same frame and inter-frame connections to model the temporal information for the same instance. For evaluation, we build a cataract surgery video (PhacoQ) dataset and a cholecystectomy surgery video (CholecQ) dataset. Experimental results demonstrate the promising performance of our model, which outperforms other state-of-the-art models on both datasets. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

本文研究了一种新型低密度(~6.24 g cm^(-3))双相AlTiVCoNi高熵合金,其组织结构由有序L21高熵金属间化合物、无序体心立方结构和纳米L21相多层次结构构成.该合金在1200℃+24 h热处理下未发生相结构转变,在此条件下具有优异的高温相结构稳定性,其铸态和热处理态的压缩屈服强度相当,达到~1.6 GPa.另外,该合金在室温和600℃条件下表现出了优异的强塑性匹配和优异的比屈服强度,分别达到了约261和210 MPa g^(-1)cm^(3).该合金的超高强度主要源于有序L21相与体心立方相的半共格界面导致的一种强相结构稳定性和多层次结构的复合强化机制.该合金在800和1000℃压缩过程中出现了动态再结晶软化,使得其高温强度有所降低.这种“具有半共格界面L21+体心立方+纳米L21颗粒”的多层次结构设计为开发新型低密度耐高温高熵合金提供了一种新设计思路.

As a crucial component of multi-energy systems (MES), the energy hub significantly enhances their performance and reliability. In the energy system, the utilization of renewable energy sources (RES) can presents a significant optimization problem, capable of substantially reducing environmental pollution and lowering energy costs for users. This paper presents an optimal load dispatch model incorporating a collection of wind turbines, aimed at reducing the overall cost of operating an energy hub. It is also proposes a hub structure based on wind, natural gas, and electricity as a combined heat and power system, utilizing converters and energy storage mechanisms to obtain electricity, thermal, and cooling energy. To accomplish this, two situations are executed in the network, aiming to minimize costs by applying a problem-solving approach to the installation of wind turbines at an energy hub. After implementing energy hub management in the optimal mode, the system’s operating costs are reduced by $16 \%$, demonstrating its advantage.

Neural networks with relatively shallow layers and simple structures may have limited ability in accurately identifying pneumonia. In addition, deep neural networks also have a large demand for computing resources, which may cause convolutional neural networks to be unable to be implemented on terminals. Therefore, this paper will carry out the optimal classification of convolutional neural networks. Firstly, according to the characteristics of pneumonia images, AlexNet and InceptionV3 were selected to obtain better image recognition results. Combining the features of medical images, the forward neural network with deeper and more complex structure is learned. Finally, knowledge extraction technology is used to extract the obtained data into the AlexNet model to achieve the purpose of improving computing efficiency and reducing computing costs. The results showed that the prediction accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity of the trained AlexNet model increased by 4.25 percentage points, 7.85 percentage points, and 2.32 percentage points respectively. The graphics processing usage has decreased by 51% compared to the InceptionV3 mode.

In this paper, we propose a secure-by-construction scheme for synthesizing controllers to enforce safety and security properties simultaneously over control systems. As a key insight, we establish a bridge between the desired safety and security properties by leveraging notions of (augmented) control barrier functions. Based on these functions, we show that one can synthesize secure-by-construction controllers for control systems with continuous state and input sets. Additionally, we provide sum-of-square (SOS) conditions under which the desired (augmented) control barrier functions can be constructed. Finally, we demonstrate the applicability of our results on a case study.

The nexus of water, food, and energy constitutes a fundamental aspect of sustainable development. Furthermore, the demand for water and energy is becoming more pronounced. Moreover, there is a growing importance placed on studying cyber security within the water-energy nexus. This research investigates the interdependence of these two systems, conceptualizing them as a water-energy nexus and effort has been conducted on optimizing the economic efficiency of electricity and water systems in order to minimize operating expenses. Subsequently, external interventions, such as the simultaneous injection of false data on both water and energy demand, were addressed through an optimization process in GAMS software. The results suggest that the value of the cost objective function remains constant when inaccurate data is introduced, which hinders the accurate estimation of the system by the system operator. in this system, both water and power loads are directly impacted by these interventions. In particular, the power and water load of the system have exhibited changes ranging from 1.5% to 17.99% for electric load and 3.87% to 17.1% for water load, in comparison to the previous state.

A wheelchair is a specialized form of Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV) designed to help people with disabilities move safely to their desired locations. Unlike conventional PMVs, wheelchairs for people with disabilities are challenging to manually control in environments with heavy traffic. This study focuses on designing and feasibility testing of control systems for PMVs to meet safety and efficiency standards, even in complex environments. First, a control structure model for PMVs is proposed. This is followed by the application of a combination of First In First Out (FIFO) and Dijkstra traffic control methods to determine effective trajectories for PMVs. The proposed control system is then tested on the campus of the University of Transport and Communications. Simulation results show that when comparing the travel time of 10 PMVs, the order execution time for each PMV remains stable (within 10%) for up to 20 PMVs. However, when the number of PMVs increases to 25, 30, 35, and 40 vehicles, the order execution time increases by 35%, 55%, 103%, and 119%, respectively. These results demonstrate that the system can control a large number of PMVs, ensuring safety, flexibility, and efficiency. © 2024 Budapest University of Technology and Economics. We show that excitonic resonances and interexciton transitions can enhance the probability of spontaneous parametric down-conversion, a second-order optical response that generates entangled photon pairs. We benchmark our ab initio many-body calculations using experimental polar plots of second harmonic generation in NbOI2, clearly demonstrating the relevance of excitons in the nonlinear response. A strong double-exciton resonance in 2D NbOCl2 leads to giant enhancement in the second order susceptibility. Our work paves the way for the realization of efficient ultrathin quantum light sources.

In recent years, demand for efficient oceanographic research for the development of marine resources has been increasing on a global scale. In general, research and operation training on underwater robotics in the ocean is very costly, and the climate and conditions of the ocean may make it impossible to conduct experiments. In this paper, we introduce an ocean simulator using real oceanographic data that can avoid these issues. First, we treat Choreonoid which is an integrated software for robots applied by National Institute of advanced Industrial science and Technology (AIST), as the basis of the simulator software. Furthermore, to demonstrate its feasibility in a more realistic ocean environment, we introduce the seabed data obtained from oceanographic research and a function to reproduce ocean currents on the simulator. In this paper, self-localization experiment is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the simulator for oceanographic research.
