In this paper, the containment problem of multi-agent nonlinear dynamic systems under directed topologies is reconsidered, where the exchange of the observer information between neighboring agents is avoided to release the communication burden. In this setting, only the relative output measured by sensor networks can be utilized to generate the observer and the controller. We regard the Lipschitz nonlinearity and relative input of each agent as unknown input and give a reduced-order observer-based protocol. © 2022 IEEE.

Recently, the field of life sciences has witnessed significant advancements, leading to the exploration of various cell characteristics to evaluate cellular behavior. Among these characteristics, cell stiffness has garnered considerable attention. It is widely acknowledged that cell stiffness undergoes changes based on the cell’s physiological state, rendering stiffness measurement a critical parameter in cell evaluation. However, the extensive research into cell stiffness has been hindered by the challenges associated with manipulating micron-scale cells and measuring nano-scale forces. Previous studies have proposed a cell stiffness measurement system utilizing a two-fingered microhand equipped with a micro force sensor. Nonetheless, this approach required manual manipulation of the target object, resulting in potential errors in stiffness measurement. Additionally, manual manipulation restricted the workspace, limiting its applicability. To address these limitations, this paper introduces an automated stiffness measurement technique that integrates force data and image data. Furthermore, a multi-scale simultaneous observation system is presented, combining optical systems from two microscopes with different magnification levels.

Dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs) are flexible and thin. They consume little electrical power but high voltage is required to drive DEAs. One research issue is to scale down high-voltage circuits (HVC) to construct untethered soft robots. In particular, circuits that can supply high voltage to multiple DEAs are critical for complex control of applications. In this study, we propose a design methodology for a HVC with four output ports. We develop the HVC in two steps and compare the sizes and weights of the different modifications (HVC ver.l, 2, and 3). The size and weight of the HVC ver.3 are 5024 mm 2 (80-mm diameter) and 56.5 g, respectively, which are 112.33 g lighter and 1600 mm 2 smaller than ver.l. Furthermore, the circuit weight required to build each output port was 14.13 g, the lightest among the previous studies. Because applying a voltage induces large current flows in the DEA, transients in the voltage waveform output from the HVC should be eliminated. Here, improving the transmitting command method from the microcontroller eliminates the transients in the high-voltage output waveform. We also compare the area strains of DEAs driven by HVC ver.3 and a desktop high-voltage equipment. The area strain of DEAs driven by HVC ver.3 does not return to 0% when the voltage is 0 V since the accumulated charge in the DEAs is not released immediately. However, the peak-to-peak area strain during the cycle is 4.6% for HVC ver.3 and 5.1% for the desktop high-voltage equipment, a difference of only 0.5%. This research should contribute to the realization of a system that simultaneously controls multiple DEAs or high-voltage actuators.

Phishing is a kind of cybercrime that deceives online users into disclosing confidential information, leading to identity theft and financial loss. Attackers typically use a wide range of vectors to spread phishing links, further increasing the reach and effectiveness of these malicious campaigns. As this threat continues to grow, artificial intelligence strategies have emerged as a promising solution for phishing detection in recent years. However, traditional methods that require substantial manual feature engineering have been observed to be dataset-dependent and lack generalization to unknown or newly evolving phishing attacks. To address these limitations, this study proposes a fine-tuned BERT model-based phishing detection approach utilizing a novel tokenization method and providing interpretable outputs. By thoroughly searching the latest publicly available datasets, the generalization capabilities of both feature engineering methodologies and the proposed approach are tested. The experimental results demonstrate its effectiveness, significantly surpassing feature engineering, and ensuring the approach remains robust in generalizing across different datasets.

In the past, omni-directional wheels, including omni-rollers, have been studied. The sphere has attracted attention as a shape with better running and overweight characteristics than this. Because of its excellent symmetry, it has been used as a wheel in omni-directional moving mechanisms. Spherical robots driven by two constrained rollers have been studied extensively, not only to derive their kinematics but also to study their validation methods. In this study, we propose a new method for verifying sphere kinematics, in which the rotational motion of spheres driving two rollers by two mouse sensors and used for estimation calculations.

Gram positive cocci occur as not only singles but also arrangements of pairs, tetorads, chains and clusters in Gram stained smears images. In this paper, we detect Gram positive cocci based on the annotation along singles, which is an annotation along a single bacterium, and the annotation along arrangements, which is an annotation along arranged bacteria. Here, we avoid to the difference of the number of regions obtained by the annotations both decreasing the number of regions by annotation along singles and increasing the number of regions by annotation along arrangements. © 2024 IEEE.

Digital Marketing is a product marketing strategy using digital media and internet networks. Nowadays, digital marketing is a necessity for companies that thrive in the digital world. It greatly affects the growth of MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) especially when it comes to increasing their sales performance by enhancing their brand awareness through various media or instruments such as a Facebook ad, Instagram advertising, Search Engine Optimization, and Search Engine Marketing. This research is aimed to measure how much impact of digital marketing utilization into Micro, Small, Medium enterprises. On the other hand, it also provides an understanding on what are the best digital marketing method to be utilized in the current situation. The method we used in this paper is quantitative. Data were collected through various questions constructed in an electronic questionnaire. This research provides a reference of digital marketing strategies for Micro, Small and Medium business owners. The result shows that digital marketing has a huge impact on the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise from increasing sales, increasing brand awareness, and gaining customers based on the data collected from both customer and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise players in Indonesia. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Micro-nano operation refers to the high-precision operation of the target on the micro-nano scale. It is widely used in the assembly of small devices, single-cell manipulation and analysis, and cell assembly in tissue engineering. At present, many micro-operations mainly rely on traditional manual operations, which have poor accuracy, low efficiency and low controllability. In this paper, a teleoperation system composed of a three-degree-of-freedom parallel micro-nano manipulator driven by piezoelectric ceramics and the 3D systems' Touch haptic device is designed. The system has the characteristics of small size, high precision, fast speed, and convenient operation. It can greatly reduce the technical threshold of the operator and make it more intuitive and efficient to complete the micro-nano operation task, which has a great market prospect. © 2022 IEEE.

When large displacements occur in buildings with different stiffnesses in the two horizontal directions, torsional moments are generated owing to geometric nonlinearities. Consequently, when the sum or difference of the translational mode natural frequencies in the two horizontal directions is close to the torsional mode natural frequency, the torsional mode is excited. This is known as Q-? resonance. Therefore, we created a three-dimensional frame model of a center-core high-rise building with a biaxially symmetrical plane that satisfied the Q-? resonance condition and examined whether the torsional response was excited by long-period design waves. A time-history response analysis was conducted assuming elastic response and considering geometric nonlinearities. Stabilizing Unknown Nonlinear systems via Decentralized High-gain Adaptive control

In this paper, we study decentralized adaptive stabilization for unknown nonlinear systems with square input matrix-valued functions. This problem formulation arises, e.g., in the context of nonlinear networks, where each scalar subsystem can implement its local controller. We show that if the input matrix-valued function possesses a kind of diagonally dominant properties, decentralized stabilization can be achieved by making each local control gain sufficiently large without knowing the exact system dynamics. Furthermore, when each local gain is updated based on the corresponding local information, the boundedness and convergence of both system dynamics and adaptive local gains are guaranteed.
