Social media platforms serve as significant spaces for users to have conversations, discussions and express their opinions. However, anonymity provided to users on these platforms allows the spread of hate speech and other offensive material. Due to the wide-ranging nature of these platforms, there is a critical need to automatically detect and report occurrences of hate speech. There are various detection methods, but many of them operate as black boxes, lacking interpretability and explainability by design. To address the lack of interpretability, this study explores the development of an interpretable framework to detect hate speech in Arabic using large language models (LLMs). The proposed approach combines advanced natural language processing techniques with interpretable machine learning methods to enhance understanding of model decisions. The experimental results demonstrate that the model achieves high accuracy while maintaining interpretability, enabling users to understand the reasoning behind the detections. The proposed method achieves an accuracy of 0.846%, with a precision of 0.843% and a recall of 0.846%, outperforming existing Arabic hate speech detection models. These results show the effectiveness of combining LLM with interpretability for this critical task, providing a reliable and transparent solution for automated moderation of harmful content. © 2025 IEEE.

The prediction of wind speed is imperative nowadays due to the increased and effective generation of wind *** power is the clean,free and conservative renewable *** is necessary to predict the wind speed,to implement wind power *** paper proposes a new model,named WT-GWO-BPNN,by integrating Wavelet Transform(WT),Back Propagation Neural Network(BPNN)and GreyWolf Optimization(GWO).The wavelet transform is adopted to decompose the original time series data(wind speed)into approximation and detailed ***-BPNN is applied to predict the wind *** is used to optimize the parameters of back propagation neural network and to improve the convergence *** work uses wind power data of six months with 25,086 data points to test and verify the performance of the proposed *** proposed work,WT-GWO-BPNN,predicts the wind speed using a three-step procedure and provides better *** Absolute Error(MAE),Mean Squared Error(MSE),Mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)and Root mean squared error(RMSE)are calculated to validate the performance of the proposed *** results demonstrate that the proposed model has better performance when compared to other methods in the literature.

An optical vortex-based asymmetric cryptosystem using QZ modulation for the double image encryption in the gyrator transform

The current study proposes a new nonlinear cryptosystem that employs complex phase masks named as optical vortices (OVs) which are obtained from the phases of the radial Hilbert mask (RHM) and Toroidal Fresnel lens (TFL). The security keys used in classical optical cryptosystems are often random phase masks (RPMs), which are vulnerable to various forms of attacks including brute force attacks. To create complex images in the frequency domain with the current encryption, the amplitude images are first phase encoded, after which the OV phase mask is used to modulate them. The complex images are further processed with QZ decomposition resulting in two upper quasi-triangular matrices, two unitary matrices, and decryption keys in the gyrator transform (GT). The use of OVs, QZ decomposition and gyrator transform settings provides additional keys to expand the key space. The proposed method is asymmetric, and the decryption process requires the private keys generated during encryption. The performance of the scheme has been evaluated in terms of mean-squared-error (MSE), peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), SSIM, histograms, entropy analysis, correlation analysis, noise and occlusion attacks. Numerical simulations are presented to validate the proposed encryption method in terms of its strength and reliability. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Around the world, vehicle accidents claim many priceless lives. To tackle this problem, the Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are the most effective solution. Effective communication between vehicular nodes in VANETs is extremely important because of the rapid mobility of vehicles and different network topology. Currently, VANET mostly serves the public security, stability, information for voyageurs, and traffic Management, control of congestion, guidance, etc. Chaos on roadways can occur at any moment, anyplace. It is a situation in which the flow of traffic regulations might cease to function. Collisions, maintaining roads, violation of legal rules, etc., so to evade the congestion in the surrounding region. VANETs represent a dynamic and challenging communication environment characterized by high mobility, intermittent connectivity, and rapid changes in network topology. Efficient and reliable routing is crucial for enabling diverse applications such as traffic management, safety communication, and infotainment services in VANETs. In this research, propose a multi-faceted approach to improve routing performance in VANETs. An adaptive routing algorithm that considers vehicle mobility patterns and dynamically adjusts communication routes based on the anticipated movement of neighboring vehicles such as Modified Ant Colony Optimization (MACO) technique. This adaptability enhances the robustness of the network against frequent topology changes and improves the overall packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, and network reliability compared to traditional routing protocols. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In today's digital era, the use of data is becoming more day by day. Data is serving as a main source for all the applications we rely on. As the volume of data rapidly increases, the need for security also increases in the same phase. This brings the need for securing the data in a more effective manner. The need to protect sensitive data is underscored by the increasing intricacy of cyberattacks and the expansion of virtual commerce. It is imperative to rely on several legal and regulatory requirements for the need for data security. The failure to do so may result in severe penalties. In order to maintain trust in digital interactions, data security during transmission and storage is becoming more important as the world gets smaller. If the data is not secured in an effective manner, the growth of the companies and several other technologies may collapse and result in higher threats to the world. Both firms and governments are required to preserve intellectual property and information related to national security. The availability, confidentiality, and integrity of data are critical for sustaining innovation, trust, and business continuity. This project focusses on the two-level authentication of the system where the users are allowed to store the sensitive data. The first level authentication is provided using OAuth where it is a single sign on mechanism which is advantageous to the users to access it easily. The second level authentication is provided using the encryption technique where the Advanced Encryption Standard is used along with the creative usage of user-generated patterns as a hidden layer in the encryption process. Here a symmetric key is used for the encryption to make it more secure. The two-level authentication brings high level security for the stored data. © 2024 IEEE.

Emotion recognition is vital in the human computer interaction because it improves interaction. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved method for emotion recognition regarding the Hybrid Autoencoder-Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model and the newly developed hybrid approach of the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) for hyperparameters tuning. In this case, Autoencoder can reduce input data dimensionality for input data and find the features relevant for the model’s work. In addition, LSTM is able to work with temporal structures of sequential inputs like speech and videos. The contribution of this research lies in the novel combination method of ACO-WOA which aims at tweaking hyperparameters of Autoencoder-LSTM model. Global aspect of ACO and WOA thereby improve the search efficiency and the accuracy of the proposed emotion recognition system and its generalization capacity. In context with the benchmark dataset for the experimentations of emotion recognition, it has established the efficiency of the proposed model in terms of the conventional methods. Recall rates in recognitive intended various emotions and different modalities were also higher in the hybrid Autoencoder-LSTM model. The optimization algorithms like the ACO-WOA also supported in reducing the computational cost which arose due to hyperparameters tuning. The implementation of this paper is done through Python Software. This implementation shows a high accuracy of 94.12% and 95.94% for audio datasets and image datasets respectively when compared with other deep learning models of Conv LSTM and VGG16. Therefore, the research shows that the presented hybrid approach can be a useful solution for successfully employing emotion recognition for enhancing the creation of the empathetic AI systems and for improving user interactions within various fields including healthcare, entertainment, and customer support. © (2025), (science and Information Organization). Gastrointestinal diseases like ulcers, polyps’, and bleeding areincreasing rapidly in the world over the last decade. On average 0.7 millioncases are reported worldwide every year. The main cause of gastrointestinaldiseases is a Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) bacterium that presents in morethan 50% of people around the globe. Many researchers have proposeddifferent methods for gastrointestinal disease using computer vision *** of them focused on the detection process and the rest of themperformed classification. The major challenges that they faced are the similarityof infected and healthy regions that misleads the correct classificationaccuracy. In this work, we proposed a technique based on Mask Recurrent-Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN) and fine-tuned pre-trainedResNet-50 and ResNet-152 networks for feature extraction. Initially, the region ofinterest is detected using Mask R-CNN which is later utilized for the trainingof fine-tuned models through transfer learning. Features are extracted fromfine-tuned models that are later fused using a serial approach. Moreover, anImproved Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm has also opted for thebest feature selection from the fused feature vector. The best-selected featuresare finally classified using machine learning techniques. The experimentalprocess was conducted on the publicly available dataset and obtained animproved accuracy of 96.43%. In comparison with state-of-the-art techniques,it is observed that the proposed accuracy is improved.

Nowadays, health issues play a tremendous role in day-to-day life and the medical expenditure to get treatment becomes more difficult for the ordinary people. Health insurance has become a vital aspect of people's lives. In this massive community, to access healthcare services such as insurance policies, LIC, ICICI, HDFC ERGO, Star Healthcare are benefits for claiming an amount for their medical expenses. The dataset encompasses three categories, such as generalized data, hospitalized data and claim data. Each record in the dataset represents an individual’s health insurance charges along with corresponding demographic and health-related characteristics. In this paper, Machine Learning techniques are used to group the claim amount that has been adopted by the individuals based on the hospitalized expenditure and insurance charges paid by the individuals. In the health sector, machine learning techniques are used to forecast insurance claims by building predictive models from historical data on claims, patient demographics, treatment types, and results. By predicting future claims based on trends seen in the data, these models help insurance firms better manage risk and allocate resources. In case of a fresher to this concept, it feels challenging to understand whereas generating as a pattern can be more flexible to acquire knowledge about how much amount has been claimed. © 2025 IEEE.

Numerous obstacles endanger the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and global food security. Crop output losses due to plant diseases alone are estimated to be between 15% to 25% every year. However, farmers' capacity to recognize and treat illnesses in a timely manner is hampered by things like a lack of agronomic expertise, limited access to actionable insights, and information gaps. The work proposes a comprehensive end-to-end web application that uses machine learning models to help farmers with configurable expert advice, smart farm management, and automatic disease detection. Thus, enabling farmers to identify the infection using their smart phones and obtain crop - fertilizer recommendations for the crops to be treated in the farmer's area based on historical data analysis of yield-influencing elements such as geography, weather, and soil. The proposed system will employ Generative Artificial Intelligence, such as ChatGPT's natural language processing and generation capabilities, to engage in conversational interactions with farmers. The work achieves close to 95% accuracy after utilizing 30 epochs in the area of disease detection and 97% accurate models are achieved for fertilizer outputs. These features along with it's high accuracy can assist farmers in making informed decisions, utilising the data obtained to reduce crop output losses. © 2024 IEEE.

Learned, uncertainty-driven adaptive acquisition for photon-efficient scanning microscopy

Scanning microscopy systems, such as confocal and multiphoton microscopy, are powerful imaging tools for probing deep into biological tissue. However, scanning systems have an inherent trade-off between acquisition time, field of view, phototoxicity, and image quality. This often results in noisy measurements when fast, large field of view, and/or gentle imaging is needed. Deep learning could be used to denoise noisy microscopy measurements, but these algorithms can be prone to hallucination, which can be disastrous for medical and scientific applications. We propose a method to simultaneously denoise and predict pixel-wise uncertainty for scanning microscopy systems, improving algorithm trustworthiness and providing statistical guarantees for deep learning predictions. Furthermore, we propose to leverage this learned, pixel-wise uncertainty to drive an adaptive acquisition technique that rescans only the most uncertain regions of a sample, saving time and reducing the total light dose to the sample. We demonstrate our method on experimental confocal and multiphoton microscopy systems, showing that our uncertainty maps can pinpoint hallucinations in the deep learned predictions. Finally, with our adaptive acquisition technique, we demonstrate up to 16× reduction in acquisition time and total light dose while successfully recovering fine features in the sample and reducing hallucinations. We are the first to demonstrate distribution-free uncertainty quantification for a denoising task with real experimental data and the first to propose adaptive acquisition based on reconstruction uncertainty. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.
