The growing dependence on personal vehicles has intensified challenges in traffic management, violation monitoring, and locating stolen cars. Addressing these issues, this study introduces a real-time, smart system for detecting and recognizing Syrian car license plates using surveillance camera image processing. The system is built on a decentralized architecture with edge computers, notably the Khadas Vim3 equipped with Neural Processing Units (NPUs). It utilizes two YoloV4-tiny networks trained on a dataset of over 1100 images of Syrian license plate. The first network detects cars and plates with high accuracy, while the second recognizes numbers on the plates with 87% accuracy. Adhering to Internet of Things (IoT) principles, the system processes up to 16 frames per second for detection and 8 frames per second for broadcasting results, maintaining uninterrupted operation even if an edge computer is offline, thereby providing a consistent and efficient solution for traffic management challenges. © 2024 IEEE.

Temperature control is of utmost importance in transmission systems. In this paper, a binary channel model is considered in which the transmission of a one causes a temperature increase while communicating a zero causes a temperature drop. By putting constraints on the input sequences, it is guaranteed that the channel temperature will not exceed a certain pre-determined maximum. In the asymptotic regime, the capacity of such a channel is studied. For the non-asymptotic regime, fixed-length codes are presented, with the property that codewords can be freely cascaded without violating the temperature constraint. Optimization of the code size is investigated and codewords are enumerated using generating functions. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

based on the simulation results, a high-frequency filter with a cutoff frequency of 300 GHz was developed. The filter was manufactured using two different techniques: thick-film technology using electrically conductive silver-palladium paste and thin-film technology (magnetron sputtering of conductive Cu and photolithography). The transmission spectrum of filters made by different methods did not differ. The maximum transmission value at a frequency of 300 GHz for the manufactured filters was 40%. © 2022 IEEE.

Mathematical models of the heat conduction problem in the claydite-block construction with taking into account the fractal structure of the material is constructed. Integro-differentiation apparatus of fractional order to take into account the fractal structure of the material was used. The variational formulation of the problem was constructed. The variational method for obtaining an approximate solution of the considered problem was proposed. The results of the numerical experiments of studying the thermal conductivity of claydite-block construction depending on the time, wall thickness and materials of different fractions were obtained. Analyzing the founded distributions of temperature fields allows us to more accurately reflect the real speed of the process. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The functional structure of the problem-oriented software complex for solving the problem of designing a technological scheme for the multi-product processes for the synthesis of ozone-safe chladones is presented in the article. The inclusion of a customizable relational database of chladone characteristics in the software complex allows selecting equipment (working volumes of reactors) to form a production flow chart based on specified criteria (productivity, energy consumption, output concentrations of the target and by-products, etc.). The mathematical models library is the basis of the software complex. Mathematical models allow performing verification calculations of various reactors for the synthesis of a wide range of chladones in accordance with the technical specification. The advantage of the software complex is the ability to analyze the effect of contact time and process temperature on the output concentrations of by-products and target products with different compositions of the initial reaction mixture. The use of the software complex allows increasing the efficiency of designing chladones synthesis processes by reducing the time spent on selecting the hardware design of processes that ensure high conversion of raw materials and the required selectivity of processes for the target component.

High temperatures in electronic devices have a negative effect on their performance. Various techniques have been proposed and studied to address and combat this thermal challenge. To guarantee that the peak temperature of the devices will be bounded by some maximum temperature, the transmitted signal has to satisfy some *** this motivation, we study the constrained channel that only accepts sequences that satisfy prescribed thermal constraints. The main goal in this paper is to compute the capacity of this channel. We provide the exact capacity of the channel with some certain parameters and we also present some bounds on the capacity in various ***, we consider the model that multiple wires are available to use and find out the smallest number of wires required to satisfy the thermal constraints. © 2023 IEEE.

The optimization problems with restriction on the amplitude of objective functions are considered. Such kind of problems concerns to the inverse (synthesis) problems according to the amplitude characteristics and belongs to the optimization problems with the incomplete input data. The variational statement foresees the deriving respective Euler equation of the optimizing functional or the systems of such equations. Due to specific of statement of problems, the derived Euler equations are nonlinear ones and have non-unique solution. Three types of such solutions are extracted and their properties and branching is investigated numerically. The numerical results are discussed for different kind of input data. © 2022 IEEE.
