X-ray is a kind of secret power, it is usually used on the medicine, and it can be perspective human body and some items which are not metals. In the graphic art and design filed, digital photography is the common method for creating image, go through this method and the after effect editing, so many alluring images are presented for the audience;however, these images which are created by digital photography only can present the externals. The internal world is always as a secret region, we maybe know what it is, but we couldn't comprehend how it is like, thus, x-ray is the best way to understand what the internals is. In this research, medical contrast is used with lily flower, let the flower absorb the contrast for 12 hours, and the contrast will winding through the whole flower, then exposure the flower by x-ray, therefore, because of wavelength of radiation and contrast, we can see the internal of stem and leaves. The second method is used on human body. One of the authors is model in this part, and takes photo with same view and angle by digital camera and medical x-ray;consequently, the audience could see the internal and external view of models' body at the same time. On the basis of this research project, the intended outcome is going to bring authors some new vision, and after go through the whole project, authors wish some new imaginative ideas would be created in the testing procedure, therefore we could obtain new thoughts and experience from this project, and the x-ray combining design could let us know this silent power could be so different and it can be used not just in medicine, and delivering more ideas and methods to the other designers;artists and researchers who are interested on the same topic in design. © 2012 Authors.

The conventional EEG machine measures brain signal frequencies between 1 and 300 Hz on the scalp. By utilizing Fourier transform (FFT), it generates a 2D frequency profile. Our innovative EEG, known as Dodecanogram (DDG), operates in two modes. In the first mode, it detects a wide range of frequencies from 6 THz to 1 milliHz, creating a brain scan based on resonance. In the second mode, it uses picosecond pulses to capture potential surges, measuring their duration, intensity, and phase variation, revealing brain activity patterns. Both modes work simultaneously in the DDG device. To minimize environmental interference, we use interconnected DDG devices on eight human brains. The detected results from DDG show that DDG is a fundamental technology for understanding various mental states. Potential applications include neuro-disease diagnosis and exploring treatments involving electrical and electromagnetic pulses. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Crops produced using recombinant DNA technology have invaluable food security roles but are not broadly accepted. Food insecurity affects between 45% and 50% of the Ghanaian populace, while the debate to adopt, accept, use, and commercialize genetically modified (GM) crops is ongoing. In this study, a choice-based conjoint experimental design was adopted to investigate factors driving the acceptance or rejection of GM crops in Ghana. Results from average marginal component effect estimation suggest that safety concern is the major driver for accepting or rejecting GM crops. This was further confirmed using predicted probabilities and marginal means estimation of community acceptance especially when it possesses certain attributes. The safer the GM crop is perceived for human consumption, health, and environment, the more likely the Ghanaian populace will accept it. In addition, yield and taste were observed to be other key driving factors to accept GM crops. Importantly, the country of patency was also observed to be a critical driving factor for whether or not a GM crop is accepted in Ghana. There is a need for active and greater engagement with the Ghanaian populace to put proper legislation, regulations, policies, and knowledge co-creation process to ensure the proper use of GM crops. © 2024 The Authors. Chronic care manages long-term, progressive conditions, while acute care addresses short-term conditions. Chronic conditions increasingly strain health systems, which are often unprepared for these demands. This study examines the burden of conditions requiring acute versus chronic care, including sequelae. Conditions and sequelae from the Global Burden of Diseases Study 2019 were classified into acute or chronic care categories. Data were analysed by age, sex, and socio-demographic index, presenting total numbers and contributions to burden metrics such as Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALYs), Years Lived with Disability (YLD), and Years of Life Lost (YLL). Approximately 68% of DALYs were attributed to chronic care, while 27% were due to acute care. Chronic care needs increased with age, representing 86% of YLDs and 71% of YLLs, and accounting for 93% of YLDs from sequelae. These findings highlight that chronic care needs far exceed acute care needs globally, necessitating health systems to adapt accordingly. © 2025. The Author(s).

Despite being information rich, the vast majority of untargeted mass spectrometry data are underutilized;most analytes are not used for downstream interpretation or reanalysis after publication. The inability to dive into these rich raw mass spectrometry datasets is due to the limited flexibility and scalability of existing software tools. Here we introduce a new language, the Mass Spectrometry Query Language (MassQL), and an accompanying software ecosystem that addresses these issues by enabling the community to directly query mass spectrometry data with an expressive set of user-defined mass spectrometry patterns. Illustrated by real-world examples, MassQL provides a data-driven definition of chemical diversity by enabling the reanalysis of all public untargeted metabolomics data, empowering scientists across many disciplines to make new discoveries. MassQL has been widely implemented in multiple open-source and commercial mass spectrometry analysis tools, which enhances the ability, interoperability and reproducibility of mining of mass spectrometry data for the research community. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature America, Inc. 2025.

Evidence for the existence of monkeys with spontaneous Parkinson’s disease (PD) has been lacking. Here,we screened macaque colonies at the Kunming Primate Research Center(Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care(AAALAC) accredited), Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, which has a large population of monkeys (>2400), to identify naturally occurring PD monkeys.

Role of Weather on the Allergenic Cupressaceae Pollen Loads and Dynamics in the South of the Iberian Peninsula

Cupressaceae family is considered a significant source of airborne allergens, and allergy to its pollen is reported worldwide. The pollination period for the different species lasts from the beginning of winter to the beginning of spring, depending on meteorological factors. The objective of this study was to compare the aerobiology of Cupressaceae pollen and to unravel the influence of meteorological variables on the Cupressaceae pollen season. The pollen concentration and meteorological were collected in two different sites in the Southern Iberian Peninsula, Évora (Portugal) and Granada (Spain) in the period 2017-2022. Correlation and principal component analysis and global linear model were applied. The pollen peaked between 25th February and 14th March in both cities and the pollen season tended to be longer in Granada. Large Cupressaceae pollen concentrations were detected in both sites. The Seasonal Pollen Integral (SPIn) ranged from 16654-57968 pollen/m3 and 1944-7568 pollen/m3 in Granada and Évora, respectively. Granada presented twice the days above 100 pollen/m3 than Évora, thus presenting a higher allergy risk. During the Cupressaceae season, maximum and mean temperature and global solar radiation positively correlated with daily pollen concentrations, particularly, in the pre-peak period, while precipitation and relative humidity were negatively correlated. Considering the autumn-winter meteorological variables before the pollen season, maximum temperatures in September-November negatively influenced the SPIn in both cities. Precipitation and RH in September-November related to higher SPIn while having the opposite effect in December-January. Integrating generative artificial intelligence tools can allow one to manage and develop novel business methods efficiently. With the introduction of self-learning generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools, the corporate world is trying to figure out the applications and their business implications. Major technology companies like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, etc., have shown enormous interest in investing in ventures developing generative AI tools/models. These tools/models can be experimented with, and their business use is being explored. The study aims to explore the potential uses of generative AI (GAI) in academics through its current capabilities and applications. The study also highlights the potential challenges and concerns arising from using generative AI in academics. The study has used descriptive and quantitative methods to answer the research questions. The study has used a questionnaire based on the Likert scale to measure the significance of indirect variables, viz. perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived trust (PT) on direct variable adoption of generative artificial intelligence (AGAI) in academics. The sample size consists of 100 students and 100 university professors. The study Mentions that perceived ease of use (PEOU) positively influences GAI (AGAI) adoption. Also, perceived trust (PT) has a predictive ability of AGIA when controlling for PEOU. The use of generative AI in a few years will become imperative in most human lives, which makes it mandatory to explore the possible ways of its adoption in the mainstream rather than avoiding or restricting its usage in academics.
