This article contemplates the problem of collecting and storing technological data during multichannel and multi - coordinate machining on CNC machines obtained using the OPC UA protocol and applying Node-RED open-source instrumentation. A structural model of obtaining, visualizing and storing technological data in multichannel and multi - coordinate machining is proposed in this research. The necessary nodes for Collection and storage of technological data in multi-channel CNC processing are implemented and configured. The researchers illustrated practical aspects of building a system for collecting and storing technological data in multichannel machining using the OPC UA protocol and applying Node-RED open-source tools and a non-relational MongoDB database. © 2023 IEEE.

The process of developing a PLC program for controlling the electromechanical units of modern machine tools with computer numerical control (CNC) has been formalized. The architecture of a two-computer CNC system with an integrated SoftPLC is given and the specifics of using the touch operator panel and virtual machine panel are considered. A set of libraries developed in the FBD (Functional Block Diagram) language for controlling the electrical automation units of a turning machine is proposed. An example of controlling the electric automation of a training lathe via the high-speed EtherCAT field bus using relatively inexpensive third-party solutions for servo drives and I/O modules that provide the required accuracy and speed is given. © 2023 IEEE.

The aim of this research is to develop a specialized system for collecting and storing CNC machines data considering the possibilities of innovative technologies of OPC UA protocol, in this work an OPC UA information model was proposed and realized in OPC UA server which reflects the logical structure of a CNC machine. This research will present a collecting data method from the digital shadow of CNC system where a complete set of parameters hierarchically structured and transmit the whole set of these parameters through the OPC UA server to production data collection cloud for performing subsequent analyzing, forecasting the state of technological equipment and performing simulation procedures. © 2023 IEEE.

There is a justified need for a cross-platform implementation of an OPC UA server for a CNC system. The available open-source libraries that implement the OPC UA stack have been analyzed, and a solution based on open62541 has been selected. An architectural model for the interaction between the OPC UA server and the CNC system core has been proposed. In addition to the traditional mechanism for obtaining current data values from the CNC system core, the OPC UA server implements a mechanism for working with historical data and a mechanism for controlling the CNC system by sending commands through a control channel via a callback method. Class diagrams illustrating the implementation of these mechanisms have been provided. An OPC UA client has been developed in C# programming language for testing the cross-platform OPC UA server of the CNC system. © 2023 IEEE.

The paper considers the problems of manufacturing prototypes of printed circuit boards on bench-Type milling machines that require the prompt production of a small batch and correction, if it's necessary. We used modern tools from third-party manufacturers for the preparation of production and processing of single-and double-layer printed circuit boards on bench-Type CNC machines. A technique is proposed that formalizes the process of preparing and verifying part programs and manufacturing printed circuit boards. The methodology was tested and an example of manufacturing a prototype of a printed circuit board for a voltage regulator on a machine with an "AxiOMA Control"CNC system was illustrated. © 2023 IEEE.

The problem of synchronizing parallel tasks in control systems at the level of the part program is reviewed. A general solution, based on a high-level part programming language extension, is proposed for synchronizing parallel tasks within one control system as well as tasks performed by several different control systems. A scheme for synchronizing the CNC with external autonomous devices through the Common PLC Memory, to which the part program, the PLC program and the inputs and outputs (I/Os) of electric automation have access, has been developed. A set of functions in a high-level part programming language, providing zeroing a certain number of bytes, writing bit, byte, long and float data types to the Common PLC Memory and reading them from it, has been implemented. As a part of practical research, a test stand on the basis of the AxiOMA Control CNC system, that controls actuators via the EtherCAT protocol, was assembled;master and slave part programs were implemented;tests, confirming the operability of the mechanism for synchronizing CNC system with external devices by using a part program, were carried out. © 2023 IEEE.

The conducted research aims to develop a computer vision system for a small-sized mobile humanoid robot. The decentralization of the servomotor control and the computer vision systems is investigated based on the hardware solution point of view, moreover, the required software level to achieve an efficient matched design is obtained. A computer vision system using the upgraded tiny-You Only Look Once (YOLO) network model is developed to allow recognizing and identifying objects and making decisions on interacting with them, which is recommended for crowd environment. During the research, a concept of a computer vision system was developed, which describes the interaction between the main elements, on the basis of which hardware modules were selected to implement the task. A structure of information interaction between hardware modules is proposed, and a connection scheme is developed, on the basis of which a model of a computer vision system is assembled for research, with the required algorithmic and software for solving the problem. To ensure the high speed of the computer vision system based on the ESP32-CAM module, the neural network was improved by replacing the Visual Geometry Group 16 (VGG-16) network as the base network for extracting the functions of the Single Shot Detector (SSD) network model with the tiny-YOLO lightweight network model, which made it possible to preserve the multidimensional structure of the network model feature graph, resulting in increasing the detection accuracy, while significantly reducing the amount of calculations generated by the network operation, thereby significantly increasing the detection speed, due to a limited set of objects. Finally, a number of experiments were carried out, both in static and dynamic environments, which showed a high accuracy of identifications. © The author(s) 2025.

Containerization approaches based on namespaces offered by the Linux kernel have seen an increasing popularity in the HPC community both as a means to isolate applications and as a format to package and distribute them. However, their adoption and usage in HPC systems faces several challenges. These include difficulties in unprivileged running and building of scientific application container images directly on HPC resources, increasing heterogeneity of HPC architectures, and access to specialized networking libraries available only on HPC systems. These challenges of container-based HPC application development closely align with the several advantages that a new universal intermediate binary format called WebAssembly (Wasm) has to offer. These include a lightweight userspace isolation mechanism and portability across operating systems and processor architectures. In this paper, we explore the usage of Wasm as a distribution format for MPI-based HPC applications. To this end, we present MPIWasm, a novel Wasm embedder for MPI-based HPC applications that enables high-performance execution of Wasm code, has low-overhead for MPI calls, and supports high-performance networking interconnects present on HPC systems. We evaluate the performance and overhead of MPIWasm on a production HPC system and AWS Graviton2 nodes using standardized HPC benchmarks. Results from our experiments demonstrate that MPIWasm delivers competitive native application performance across all scenarios. Moreover, we observe that Wasm binaries are 139.5x smaller on average as compared to the statically-linked binaries for the different standardized benchmarks. © 2023 ACM.

The modern rapid development of means and technologies for education is aimed at reducing classroom classes and remote control of knowledge and skills of education seekers. The adaptation of the education system to the remote regime has become especially relevant throughout the world during the period of quarantine restrictions caused by COVID-19. In Ukraine, the urgency of developing and implementing info-communication systems in the education process has been intensified by the martial law since February 24, 2022. The urgent need to rebuild a large number of buildings and structures destroyed and damaged by hostilities makes special demands on graduates of construction educational institutions. However, the fundamental studying of specialists in this field in remote mode requires specialized info-communication systems, creating of which need taking part of specialists in the field. On-line testing is the main means of guaranteeing the quality of the modern educational process. Therefore, the article presents the specialized on-line testing system "Fast Knowledge Test", which was developed at the Kyiv National University of Construction and architecture with the participation of stakeholders. The system operates during 2021-2023 and while the monitoring of students’ knowledge and skills remains with the teacher, but the service provides for its automation. © 2024 IEEE.
