The conducted research aims to develop a computer vision system for a small-sized mobile humanoid robot. The decentralization of the servomotor control and the computer vision systems is investigated based on the hardware solution point of view, moreover, the required software level to achieve an efficient matched design is obtained. A computer vision system using the upgraded tiny-You Only Look Once (YOLO) network model is developed to allow recognizing and identifying objects and making decisions on interacting with them, which is recommended for crowd environment. During the research, a concept of a computer vision system was developed, which describes the interaction between the main elements, on the basis of which hardware modules were selected to implement the task. A structure of information interaction between hardware modules is proposed, and a connection scheme is developed, on the basis of which a model of a computer vision system is assembled for research, with the required algorithmic and software for solving the problem. To ensure the high speed of the computer vision system based on the ESP32-CAM module, the neural network was improved by replacing the Visual Geometry Group 16 (VGG-16) network as the base network for extracting the functions of the Single Shot Detector (SSD) network model with the tiny-YOLO lightweight network model, which made it possible to preserve the multidimensional structure of the network model feature graph, resulting in increasing the detection accuracy, while significantly reducing the amount of calculations generated by the network operation, thereby significantly increasing the detection speed, due to a limited set of objects. Finally, a number of experiments were carried out, both in static and dynamic environments, which showed a high accuracy of identifications. © The author(s) 2025.

Due to the dynamic nature and node mobility,assuring the security of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks(MANET)is one of the difficult and challenging tasks *** MANET,the Intrusion Detection System(IDS)is crucial because it aids in the identification and detection of malicious attacks that impair the network’s regular *** machine learning and deep learning methodologies are used for this purpose in the conventional works to ensure increased security of ***,it still has significant flaws,including increased algorithmic complexity,lower system performance,and a higher rate of ***,the goal of this paper is to create an intelligent IDS framework for significantly enhancing MANET security through the use of deep learning ***,the min-max normalization model is applied to preprocess the given cyber-attack datasets for normalizing the attributes or fields,which increases the overall intrusion detection performance of ***,a novel Adaptive Marine Predator Optimization Algorithm(AOMA)is implemented to choose the optimal features for improving the speed and intrusion detection performance of ***,the Deep Supervise Learning Classification(DSLC)mechanism is utilized to predict and categorize the type of intrusion based on proper learning and training *** evaluation,the performance and results of the proposed AOMA-DSLC based IDS methodology is validated and compared using various performance measures and benchmarking datasets.

This manuscript presents a hybrid method for optimal energy management in smart home appliances. The proposed approach combines the Ebola Optimization Search Algorithm (EOSA) with the performance of spiking neural networks (SNN). The key objective of the proposed strategy is cost reduction through day-ahead load scheduling while also considering the best demand response (DR), and self-consumption of photovoltaic (PV). The EOSA method manages air conditioning (AC) and ensures thermal comfort. In addition, the SNN method was used to predict the optimal system control signal. Comparative analysis with existing systems, such as PSO, RFA, and BCO, showed that the proposed strategy resulted in 13% cost savings. The proposed system considered parameters, such as solar radiation, occupant presence, and electricity prices. The proposed technique is implemented in the MATLAB software, and the performance is compared with existing approaches. The efficiency of the proposed approach is higher than the existing techniques. © 2024 The Institute of electronics and Information Engineers.

The purpose of this research aims to monitor, analyze, and compare the performance of infrastructure as a service (IaaS) between the selective cloud providers. To assure which cloud provider has more stability, reliability, and scalability. This paper focuses on performance testing based on a deployed web server in the cloud environment. The main feature of cloud computing is scalability thus most common IaaS cloud service providers (CSPs) have Auto Scaling features for instances or virtual machines. Not only does this paper gives the experimental results of the scaling scalability testing, but it also provides the results of recovery testing to inspect how long a web server is able to recover from failures and load testing which simulated traffic requests. Testing was conducted in the major public clouds of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Azure performs the most efficiently of almost all testing but hardest to configure. © 2023 IEEE.

Accurate disease diagnosis in grape leaf analysis is heavily reliant on high-resolution (HR) images. To meet this need, we propose a model that incorporates the Enhanced Attention Block (EAB) to generate HR images for improved disease detection. The EAB employs advanced attention mechanisms and residual learning to effectively capture critical, spatial and channel-wise relationships. Proposed model is assessed using PSNR (Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) and SSIM (Structural Similarity Index) metrics, yielding PSNR scores of 31. 902dB, 32.785dB, and 34. 853dB, and SSIM score of 0.8709, 0.9058, and 97.46 for factors 2,4 and 6 respectively. This proposed approach holds great potential for widespread implementation in disease detection across various plant species, allowing for timely and accurate interventions for plant health management and increasing industry productivity. © 2023 IEEE.

The integration of cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) holds transformative potential across diverse industries. Performance assessment is essential to gauge the quality and efficiency of cloud computing and IoT systems. This paper presents a comprehensive performance evaluation of cloud computing and IoT systems, focusing on three major platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. Experimental results encompass various scenarios, including normal operation, heavy load conditions, IoT applications, and scalability testing. Detecting and classifying vehicles is a modern technology with numerous uses. Administration and regulation of traffic is one of the primary uses. Projects utilizing image processing to prevent traffic accidents heavily rely on vehicle monitoring and detection. Monitoring and recording human movement in surveillance situations require the ability to follow moving objects. Considering its significance, it provides a valuable image processing-based vehicle detection technique - a vehicle tracking and detection system based on images. The recently released high-resolution road vehicle dataset supports deep learning-based vehicle detection and monitoring on the Python platform. It includes over 100 well-defined pictures taken from movies from various locations. This data is produced using a range of image processing methods. The most recent iteration of the YOLO model, the v5 model, was employed for detection. R-CNN is additionally utilized for model detection. The four stages in the Region-Based Convolutional Neural Network (RCNN) process are preprocessing, segmentation, feature selection, and classification. The first step is identifying moving vehicles accurately. Preprocessing the original image is necessary. This enhances the image's quality, valuable information extracted, or unwanted areas cropped out. Segmentation is the second step. The region's borders are established, and the entire image is divided into numerous smaller areas using a threshold. The vehicle image's most pertinent aspects or characteristics (features) that aid in precise detection are found in the third stage, feature selection. A region-based convolutional neural network (RCNN) is employed to determine the categorization. The Yolov5 method can be used to identify and categorize items. The Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (RCNN) approach enhances accuracy and temporal complexity over current segmentation algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.
