The most difficult component of any computer vision application objects recognition and tracking. Video surveillance is a major study subject in computer vision in a dynamic environment, especially for security purposes. Video surveillance technology is critical in preventing crime, terrorism, and other threats. Several existing technologies can accurately monitor a person's mobility in interior environments. As well as regulated outdoor settings, object recognition and tracking at night, on the other hand, remain significant challenges for visual surveillance. The objects are usually farther away, inconspicuous, and have low brightness against the background. In this paper, detecting objects specifically people under low lighting conditions with the help of deep learning algorithms was used. For applications like in-car cameras and surveillance systems that operate in low light, these algorithms might improve picture identification performance. © 2022 IEEE.

Since Thailand has now completely stepped into an aged society there are more than 20% of the population aged 60 years and over. There was also an increase in those who had problems with their balance. One of the main difficulties for these people is walking on their own. This paper presents an automatic walking aid for people with balance or walking problems. A specially designed automatic walking aid can be adjusted to six levels of height. It has an anti-collision warning system at a distance of up to 40 centimeters and displays GPS coordinates via SMS when falling. The experimental results of the prototype automatic walking aid showed that the walking aid could work as designed and could help people with balance problems walk more comfortably.

Data centers are estimated to be responsible for 13% of energy consumed in world by 2030. Rapid increase in data storage and server performance requirements are the main causes of increase in energy consumption especially for hyperscale data centers such as in financial and banking industry. However small-scale data centers accounted for 70% of total consumption in 2020, which indicates the energy saving potential due to the old systems and un-specially designed buildings. Unlike standard buildings, data centers have high indoor heat gain, therefore high thermal conductivity in cold climates, low conductivity in hot climates is *** systems analysis, air flow analysis, capacity management and network software have been developed to achieve energy savings in data centers in literature. However, a software that calculates the energy demand by taking into account the building details, location and renewable energy systems installed in the data center is not found. In this study a software is developed to calculate final energy demand of datacenters by taking into account the location, building details, IT devices and renewable energy system. For the verification of developed software, hourly energy consumption data of a data center of a private bank is used. © 2021 IEEE.

Many real-world applications,including adaptive radar scanning and smart stealth,require reconfigurable multifunctional devices to simultaneously manipulate multiple degrees of freedom of electromagnetic(EM)waves in an on-demand ***,kirigami technique,affording versatile and unconventional structural transformation,has been introduced to endow metamaterials with the capability of controlling EM waves in a reconfigurable ***,we report for a kirigami-inspired sparse meta-architecture,with structural density of 1.5%in terms of the occupation space,for adaptive invisibility based on independent operations of frequency,bandwidth,and *** on the general principle of dipolar management via structural reconstruction of kirigami-inspired meta-architectures,we demonstrate reconfigurable invisibility management with abundant EM functions and a wide tuning range using three enantiomers(A,B,and C)of different geometries characterized by the folding angleβ.Our strategy circumvents issues of limited abilities,narrow tuning range,extreme condition,and high cost raised by available reconfigurable metamaterials,providing a new avenue toward multifunctional smart devices.

Construction progress monitoring plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient completion of infrastructure projects within smart cities. This paper proposes a novel approach utilizing the Deep AlexNet architecture for construction progress assessment in smart cities. The Deep AlexNet model is trained on a diverse dataset of images captured from construction sites, enabling it to accurately analyze the visual cues indicative of construction advancement. By leveraging deep learning techniques, our system extracts and processes features from images, enabling automated and real-time progress evaluation. The proposed method contributes to enhancing construction management practices by providing stakeholders with a reliable tool to monitor and manage construction projects efficiently. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the Deep AlexNet-based approach in accurately assessing construction progress, thereby facilitating informed decision-making throughout the construction lifecycle.

Permaculture is a land management and regenerative agriculture that is the integration of technological advancement and the natural agricultural ecosystems. It is usually manifested in green architecture and balcony gardens in an urban area. However, peri-urban geographical regions are those situated in between urban and rural areas that are experiencing the impacts of modernizing community and conventional farming. This study discusses the technological drivers making intelligent permaculture ecosystems and applications, the current issues and challenges in this emerging agricultural and horticultural scheme, and a set of future directives in intelligent permaculture ecosystems in a tropical and maritime climatic setting. Based on the systematic analysis, this study had established a guideline that compliance to UN sustainable development goals, controlled environment engineering, and planting of fruit-bearing trees and vegetables in sidewalks can solve the issues of public knowledge, ecological stability and environmental sustainability, profitability issue, and technological constraints concerning intelligent permaculture systems. © 2021 IEEE.

By leveraging deep learning techniques, this research aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of monitoring and maintaining concrete structures, contributing to the overall resilience and longevity of Smart Cities. The findings of this study present valuable insights into the potential of utilizing advanced computer vision methods for proactive infrastructure management in the urban landscape.

Nowadays, road accidents have become a major concern. The drowsiness of drivers owing to overfatigue or tiredness, driving while intoxicated, or driving too quickly is some of the primary causes of this. Drowsy driving contributes to or increases the number of traffic accidents each year. The study presented a technique for detecting driver drowsiness in response to this issue. The sleep states of the drivers in the driving environment were detected using a deep learning approach. To assess if the eyes of particular constant face images of drivers are closed, a convolutional neural network (CNN) model has been developed. The suggested model has a wide range of possible applications, including human-computer interface design, facial expression detection, and determining driver tiredness and drowsiness. The YOLOv3 algorithm, as well as additional tools like Pascal VOC and LabelImg, were used to build this approach, which collects and trains a driver dataset that feels drowsy. The study's total detection accuracy was 100%, with detection per frame accuracy ranging from 49% to 89%. © 2021 IEEE.

This article provides an explanation of the use of a Twin-Array Quasi Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) Reflector with Dual Band Cross-Dipole for antenna applications in 5G base stations. The base material employed in this study is FR4 sheet, which has a dielectric constant (ε r ) of 4.3. The antenna obtained has dimensions of 100x100 mm 2 and functions throughout the frequency spectrum spanning from 730 to 860 MHz, 1700 to 2130 MHz. The primary benefits of this antenna design are its lightweight structural composition, compatibility with the frequency range of 730–860 MHz, and discernible performance attributes. The CST Studio Suite software was used to conduct a simulation of the antenna’s performance. The antenna has an operating frequency range of 730–860 MHz and 1700–2130 MHz, enabling it to support a unidirectional wave propagation pattern that is suitable for the implementation of a 5G mobile communication base station.

This research presents a design and analysis of an open-loop microstrip resonator which is integrated with a microwave sensor system. It is used for measuring a binary-liquid mixed concentration of sodium chloride (NaCl) and DI-water to detect salinity level. The open-loop resonator is designed to provide a band-stop bandwidth of 1 GHz, which has operated from 2 GHz to 3 GHz. The proposed microwave sensor system consists of a microwave synthesizer, a voltage detector, and an open-loop resonator that is designed to operate at 3 GHz to characterize the salinity level of the sample liquid mixture. A liquid mixture samples of NaCl and Distill-water with 5 different concentration levels of 0%, 2%, 5%, 10%, and 20% were used to assess the salinity level for the proposed microwave sensor system.
