The article discusses an approach to identifying the uncertainty of initial information based on the theory of fuzzy logic. A system of criteria for initial information is proposed, calculated on the basis of the input sample, and characterizing the measure of uncertainty present in the system. The basic requirements for the choice of membership functions of the fuzzy inference system are indicated and the final integrated output membership function is obtained, which describes the type of uncertainty of the initial information. © 2021 IEEE.

Multi-zone heating furnaces are extremely time-varying plants with high energy consumption, for which the task of energy efficiency improvement is of high importance. Most of the known adaptive and optimal control methods to solve this problem concentrate on temperature control only with the gas flow rate as a control signal, while neglecting such an important parameter as the pressure inside the furnace. But it influences the mass-heat flows, temperature, and the efficiency of the disturbances attenuation. The purpose of the study is to develop a model of dependence of the temperature inside one zone of the furnace on the position of a sliding damper of a flue-gas fan, which is an actuator in the pressure control loop, and develop a method of the furnace pressure control, which takes into account such a model. The obtained simulation results show that such advanced pressure control allows one to effectively attenuate disturbances, which are caused by the billets loading/unloading through the furnace doors. © 2022 IEEE.

The problems of trolley position tracking and stabilization of the suspended load are solved simultaneously for an overhead crane. The model of the trolley-pendulum system is derived. To solve the problem under consideration, a nonlinear control law is designed using the second Lyapunov method, which guarantees asymptotic stability of the control error. The derived law is validated via numerical experiments. The obtained results corroborate the effectiveness of the proposed solution. © 2023 IEEE.

The implementation of the base components of neuro-like cryptographic data protection systems using FPGA is considered. The structure of the data encryption module using polynomials based on a neuro-like network was developed. Module implemented with the help of VHDL in Quartus II development environment. The base components of different dimensions, which are part of the encryption module, have been implemented. The components allow quick implementation of encryption modules corresponding to different neural network architectures. Modeling of the module's operation and evaluation of the encryption time, hardware resources required for its implementation, and the implementation of the components included in the module were carried out. To prepare the parameters of a neural network of a given architecture, which are used in the implementation of the basic encryption operation, the Training_NS_MGT and Transfor_Data programs were implemented in the C language on the Raspberry Pi 4 microcomputer. Examples of the formation of matrices of weighting coefficients by these programs are given. © 2023 IEEE.

The implementation of neuro-like data encryption using polynomials is considered. The structure of the device was developed with the usage of the base operation of neuro-like data encryption. The base operation of data encryption is implemented on the FPGA using the hardware programming language VHDL in the Quartus development environment. Simulation of the designed module's operation and estimation of encryption time and hardware resources required for its implementation were carried out. © 2023 IEEE.

Article discusses the issues of creating models and methods for detecting contours in images in control systems and automation of technological processes and objects based on computer vision technologies. An approach based on the construction and analysis of image weight models is proposed. This approach involves performing a discrete wavelet transform of the image and calculating weight values based on the detailing coefficients to assess the significance of changes in the pixels of copies of various levels of decomposition. The set of weight values is a weight model. Since significant changes are characteristic of contour points, the analysis of weight models makes it possible to detect them in images. It is also shown that the application of the Canny detector to the image weight model reduces the sensitivity to noise and the complexity of selecting the lower and upper thresholds.

Multilayer printed circuit boards are widely used in the development of modern electronic devices. But for their effective use it is often necessary to solve problems of electromagnetic compatibility. The application of interconnections of multilayer printed circuit boards in the form of twisted pairs is considered. Structurally, a twisted pair is implemented in two layers of a multilayer printed circuit board using vias. The paper analyzes electromagnetic crosstalk in the interconnections of multilayer printed circuit boards in the form of twisted pairs. The results are compared with the results of crosstalk analysis in coplanar interconnects. The results of the comparison show that the use of twisted pair leads to a reduction in crosstalk at the far end of the communication line.

The article considers the solution of one of the main tasks of modern mechanical engineering which is the modeling of modern production systems in the field of engineering. The choice of type of production system model is considered. It is shown that from the systematological point of view all existing models are divided into imitation (portrait) and optimization, and the problem of production systems designing belongs to the class of weakly structured problems. Consequently, at the stage of macro-design it is advisable to use optimizing models rather than imitation models. An expanded definition of technological process as a set of production design, technological process design of the sequence of form-building products, manufacturing is given. The concept of production flexibility and production system adaptation to changing conditions is defined. These solutions can be used both in production automation, and in the development of computer-Aided design and modeling systems, flexible production systems, and also fully meet the goals and objectives of procedia engineering. © 2021 IEEE.

In this article, we outlined the goals and prospects for short- and long-term data traffic forecasting in 5G networks. The study provides an overview of current traffic forecasting methods. A large number of works indicate a variety of approaches to the analysis and forecasting of mobile traffic. These approaches include both traditional statistical methods and deep learning methods, which is an important factor for the development of network technologies and optimization of radio access networks. Using mobile traffic data from Google Meet, MS Teams and Zoom video conferencing systems as an example, we studied the features of this type of traffic and came to the conclusion that the distribution of time intervals between the arrival of packets corresponds to an a-stable distribution. Having studied some machine learning methods designed for time series forecasting, we performed a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of these methods for short-term forecasting of data traffic intensity.

A frequent cause of violation of the noise immunity of modern electronic means are microsecond, nanosecond impulse interferences on the power supply network or dynamic voltage changes. These tasks are especially relevant for the elements of control systems of energy facilities. The paper considers the types of interference in the power supply network of electronic means. An analysis of the propagation of impulse noise has been carried out. Models have been developed and an analysis of the functioning of digital elements under the influence of interference through the power supply port has been carried out. The typical areas of functioning of electronic means are singled out depending on the amplitude and duration of interference in the power supply network. Methods for increasing the noise immunity of electronic means under the influence of interference through the power supply are considered. © 2022 IEEE.
