Training sample rate selection is one of the controversial issues arising in the process of virtual sensor development. Increasing the sample rate results in the initialization execution time extension, but it can also have a positive effect on the quality of the resulting models. In the study the virtual analyzer of the final boiling point for 62-105 °C fraction was initialized in five time segments with different sample rate using industrial data obtained from ELOU-AVT-2 unit of Kirishi refinery KINEF and EM-algorithm. © 2020 IEEE.

The article deals with the current issue of solving problems related to process control. An important role in solving these problems is played by the training process for students and employees of enterprises, which allows simulating the operation of real equipment. Volzhsky branch of Moscow Power Engeneering Institute (MPEI) developed simulators for studying the combination of alternative and renewable sources of electric and thermal energy and a training complex for means of control, automatic regulation and technological protection. The field equipment promotes to visually demonstrate functioning of existing equipment to students, including during laboratory work. The withdrawal of equipment to all modes is not possible for technological reasons and due to the random nature of weather conditions. The simulator of a geothermal heat pump was developed based on the mathematical models of the geothermal heat pump system elements. Comparison of the experimental and simulated values shows sufficient convergence, which indicates the correctness of the mathematical model and allows us to recommend it to practical application. © 2020 IEEE.

The object of the study is crude oil distillation unit that operates in conditions of strong variability of feed composition. The unit's feed components are crude oil, oil from oil traps and off spec products, at that feed components are mixed in a wide ratio range. It is shown that for objects of this type, it is necessary, along with other input variables, to use feed characterizing parameters. Model of the temperature of final boiling point of 105-180 °C cut from ELOU-AT-1 (Electrical Desalting Unit) of LLC 'KINEF' has been initialized and tested. © 2019 IEEE.

The article is devoted to the development of a generalized formalized approach to the choice of a cutting tool at the stage of pre-production engineering. The relevance of the study, aiming at increasing the efficiency of acquisition of the tooling system for machine tool equipment with CNC, is substantiated. The shortcomings of the heuristic method (most frequently used during the equipment and tools selection) are indicated, the ways of solving this problem are shown. The application limitations of the developed approach are shown, the application of the qualimetric approach is justified. The work uses the theory of sets, mathematical programming, elements of the decision-making theory. An algorithm for multicriteria selection of a cutting tool is developed, and software based on it, which provides the technologist with a ranked list of tools that are optimal for a given process. It is supposed that the developed method can be integrated into existing CALS-systems at manufacturing enterprises. © 2018 IEEE.

The article presents the results of studies that allowed us to establish that in order to ensure stable operation of the multiple insert tools on CNC machines in a given time interval, it is necessary to control the cutting properties of replaceable multi-sided carbide inserts. The paper suggests a method for determining the cutting properties of the carbide multiple insert tools and the physical and mechanical properties of the material using of the thermal EMF value generated by a natural thermocouple, composed of the tool material and the material to be processed. The physical validation of the thermal EMF signal analog-to-digital conversion use for the state of carbide inserts evaluation in the set of built-up tool is given. Fast-flowing contact processes in the intermittent cutting conditions are analyzed. A relationship between the thermal EMF value of the trial run and the energy coefficient in the permissible cutting speed formula is established. Experimental research on intelligent production machine showed the effectiveness of the suggested method. © 2018 IEEE.

We consider an electron wave packet evolution in the external deterministic electric field with Gaussian white noise addition. An explicit expression was given for the averaged probability flux with Gaussian initial wave function. We show that the noise addition increases wave packet spreading rate, which has a significant influence on flux amplitude and may play both destructive and constructive role. This depends on the form of external deterministic field.
