Three new modifications of second-order low-frequency discrete analog filters (DAFs) based on switched capacitors have been developed and studied. A distinctive feature of the DAFs under consideration is the presence of two resistors in the general feedback circuit. This allows, at constant values of the capacitances of the frequency-setting capacitors and a fixed switching frequency of electronic switches, to control the frequency of the DAF pole by changing the resistance ratio of these resistors. The basic equations for the low-pass filter gain at zero frequency, the low-pass filter gain at the pole frequency, as well as formulas for calculating the pole frequency and pole attenuation are given. In the Micro-Cap environment, computer simulation of the proposed modifications of the DAF was performed, which shows that the considered circuit solutions perform the functions of a low-pass filter. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents an innovative approach to optimize traffic networks in a supplier-customer system based on specific strategies of game theory. The traffic network is represented as a routing configuration in which the arcs represent various possible roads between supplier and customer entities, each route having an associated transport cost for the product unit. The game structure is defined by a matrix of transport costs between the players, supplier and customer, with their corresponding strategies. Based on these costs, the game matrix is built to which the existing quantities in warehouses are added, respectively the quantities requested by the final customers. By solving the game associated to the transportation traffic network, the different strategies are proposed for choosing the optimal solution. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach and recommend some performant procedures for solving the game, such as Hurwicz, Laplace and Savage, close to optimal solution. This research opens new directions for management optimization in other domains such as comunication, electrical and administrativ networks. © 2024 The Authors.

This paper presents a signal processing framework for automatic anxiety level classification in a virtual reality exposure therapy system. Two types of biophysical data (heart rate and electrodermal activity) were recorded, pre-processed and passed through a feature extraction procedure that provided input for the real-time anxiety level classification algorithm. We showcase the mathematical and engineering techniques behind the procedures and conclude with the challenges encountered in our research and future development ideas. The proposed method provides a good estimate of the level of anxiety while having at the same time a reduced level of complexity, allowing implementation on equipment with limited computing resources. © 2024, Politechnica University of Bucharest. Evaluation is a process that compares the results with the target, an initial situation with the final one. ‘Evaluate’ means making an assessment based on some measure or information and referring to some criteria. The Formative evaluation is a process which is used by trainers and trainees and provides feedback on updating current teaching and learning methods in order to improve trainer’s achievement in relation of teaching goals. In this case study a research was carried out using the technique of formative evaluation in order to evaluate two thematic areas with the cooperation of the program’s leaders. The aim of the study was to extract conclusions and opinions about the program’s value, the achievement goals and the organisation implementation requirements and how all this results will been feed backed to program managers and policymakers with the appropriate information which are necessary to adopt appropriate corrective interventions for programs quality improvement. The field of quantum computing has developed rapidly in recent years due to its promising trend of surpassing traditional machine learning in terms of speed and effectiveness. Quantum kernel learning is one of the paradigms of quantum machine learning, but the training of quantum kernel is time consuming. Therefore, this work makes the first attempt to introduce a consensus-based distributed approach to quantum kernel learning - named CDQKL - that only requires to exchange model parameter information between adjacent nodes while avoiding the need of sharing local training data. Through comparative experimental studies, the advantages of CDQKL in classification accuracy and convergence speed are verified. Considering the popularization of quantum computing cloud service and miniaturization of quantum terminals, the CDQKL adapting to this trend is able to play a vital role in data security, which implies the far-reaching significance of this work. Integrated energy system is a useful tool for achieving the"dual-carbon"goal. In order to explore the demand-side adjustable potential of the comprehensive energy system for lowering carbon emissions, this paper proposes an optimal operation model that accounts for demand response under a carbon trading mechanism. Initially, the demand response is classified into two categories based on the characteristics of the load response. Additionally, a carbon trading mechanism is built for the integrated energy system by allocating the carbon emission quotas for the system using the baseline technique, which is free of charge. The actual carbon emissions from the gas turbine and gas boiler are also taken into account. Ultimately, a low-carbon optimization operation model of the integrated energy system is established, with the goal of minimizing the total cost of energy purchase, carbon trading, and operation and maintenance. The suggested model's validity is then confirmed through four types of typical scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, information and knowledge represent the fundamental wealth of an organisation. Enterprises try to utilise this wealth to gain advantage when making decisions such as a project’s acceptance. After a project finishes, a quality management plan defines its quality level. The business intelligence theories help the individual to evaluate the proposed plan in order to target the project’s results. But, do all the evaluation methods have the same reliability? We check the project’s quality by using paper and online questionnaire administration. Although the scope is the same, there are differences, giving different results. So, we intelligently investigated the quality of the university educational process. The results show that the administration method has a significant effect on overall results. Thus, the quality check of a project using questionnaires needs to have an attentive design, avoid points that introduce uncertainties and able to show the real opinion of the respondents. To design active analog, discrete-analog and digital filters a new method is suggested, taking into account the conditions of selective invariance and using the internal models principle of the dynamic systems. For this purpose, the structure of each basic filter ensures the presence of an explicit spectral model of the filtered signal. Such a filter is selectively invariant, and this property depend only on the spectrum-setting parameters and do not depend on other parameters. It is suggest-ed to carry out the design of the combined selective filters by integration of the suggested basic second-order filters, focusing on the log magnitude plot of the latter. This makes possible to minimize the order of the combined both analog and digital filters. The combined selective filters are distinguished by high stability of selective properties and can be used in the systems for measurement, signal processing, data transmission, as well as automatic and automated control of various social, production and special facilities. © 2024 IEEE.

A CBjT high-speed operational amplifier (op-amp) has been developed and studied, which differs from known in its modified input stage (IS), as well as the architecture of the intermediate 'folded' cascode (FC). The proposed circuits IS and FC circuits solve the problem of increasing the maximum slew rate of the output voltage (SR) in large-signal mode by more than 10 times. In the LTspice environment, computer simulation of an op-amp on complementary bipolar transistors was performed, which shows that the use of the developed transient correction circuits makes it possible to increase SR from 103 V/μs to 1408 V/μs. The logarithmic amplitude-frequency characteristics of the op-amp under study are given for different options for its inclusion - with and without general negative feedback. The leading and trailing edges of the op-amp transient process were studied with an input rectangular pulse signal with an amplitude of 5V at different values of the capacitance of the additional correction capacitor Ck1. The simulation results are presented in the form of a table that establishes the relationship between the numerical values of the maximum rate of rise of the output voltage of the op-amp and the capacitance Ck1. The considered op-amp is recommended for use in various automation devices and communication systems, for example, discrete-analog filters on switched capacitors, high-speed ADC drivers, etc. © 2024 IEEE.
