This paper mentions two synchronous control algorithms for a dual 3-degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) manipulator robot based on the CAN BUS network, including the master-slave approach (MSA) and cross-coupling control (CCC) algorithms. In the MSA synchronization algorithm, the set trajectory of the master robot is the desired set trajectory, and the set trajectory of the slave robot is the output position of the master robot. In the CCC synchronization algorithm, the set trajectories of the dual arm manipulators ensure stability and synchronize their movements while maintaining the desired trajectory. In this paper, the robot model is designed using SolidWorks software. Then the data is transferred to Simscape software combined with MATLAB Simulink to simulate and evaluate the two synchronous control methods mentioned. An experimental model of a dual 3-DOF manipulator is being constructed to evaluate the practical effectiveness of these two methods, which use the CAN BUS protocol for communication between them. The study utilizes 2-level distributed control based on the CAN BUS protocol. At level 1, this protocol is applied to communicate with the microcontroller, which controls the joints of the two robotic arms. At level 2, this protocol is applied to interface with the microcontroller, which controls the dual 3-DOF manipulator. Finally, the simulation results and experimental models based on the CAN-BUS protocol are used to evaluate the synchronization effect of the two proposed methods. © 2023 IEEE.

The high-precision fault diagnosis management method in multi-mode control systems was studied. Three typical power conversion circuits were selected to use full convolutional network (FCN), residual network (RESNET) and self-attention network (TRANSFORMER) for fault diagnosis algorithm research, and a fault diagnosis management method verification platform was built based on this. The algorithm model was built using Python in the Pytorch environment on a computer with 16GB RAM and a 3060 graphics card. The switching power supply circuit based on Tps53355 was analyzed by Pspice sensitivity, and 6 devices with the greatest impact on the output were obtained. The Adam optimizer was used, the total number of epochs trained was 60, and the mini-batch size was fixed to 64. The simulation verification showed that this model can achieve the system engineering management requirements: the fault detection accuracy is not less than 91%, the false alarm rate of lightweight power warning is not higher than 1.05%, and under multiple faults, no less than 3 composite faults can be identified. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper explores the impact of the burgeoning electric vehicle (EV) presence on distribution grid operations, highlighting the challenges they present to conventional pricing strategies due to their dual role as power consumers and suppliers, coupled with their energy storage capabilities. We propose an advanced real-time pricing model for the electricity market, employing a novel distributed bilevel optimization framework. This framework distinguishes between the distribution system operator (DSO) at the upper level and the EVs at the lower level, each aiming to optimize profit margins. The optimization includes power flow constraints at the upper level to ensure efficient operation within safe system limits, while model predictive control (MPC) is used to optimize lower-level EV responses. Additionally, we provide a rigorous convergence analysis of the proposed bilevel optimization method. Detailed convergence studies and simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper applies the information-aware weight method to the field of engineering where the validity of the data characteristics of the prediction object fluctuates or changes rapidly within a limited range. It clarifies the relationship between point similarity and regional similarity, so that the online prediction algorithm has a more acute data characteristic perception ability in the process of responding to data characteristic changes, and can control the life and performance of the product in real time. The error compensation algorithm is based on the relevant theory of the prediction ability solidification after the prediction model training and the use of prior error to approximate the posterior error in the prediction process of the online extreme learning machine derivative algorithm. By establishing a mapping relationship between the input data and the prediction error of the IPW-OSELM algorithm, an error compensation algorithm is formed. Starting from the cost function theory, the IPW-OSELM algorithm effectively integrates multiple parameters such as forgetting factor, regularization parameter and information-aware weight, which improves the overall performance of the WE-OSELM algorithm online prediction and can effectively manage large systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Double-panel noise barriers provide significantly higher passive transmission loss compared to equivalent single-panel structures. However, their acoustic performance deteriorates rapidly at low frequencies due to low order structural-acoustic resonances. These resonances can be mitigated, for example, by active control systems. But when the availability of high-performance processors and energy sources is limited, it is worth considering alternative solutions, including semi-active methods. This paper investigates a semi-active control approach utilizing two types of semi-active components. First is a semi-active bistable link mounted between the panels, which are structurally coupled, when the link is turned on, or decoupled, when turned off. Second type is a semi-active element with a tunable mass moment of inertia, attached only to one of the panels. This element allows significantly altering the mechanical properties of the barrier. Both components complement each other. As a result, the components allows the noise barrier to adapt to noise with varying characteristics by altering its mechanical properties. The presented simulations shows that the proposed semi-active system can significantly enhance double-panel noise barrier transmission loss. © 2023 Proceedings of the International Congress on Sound and Vibration. Active noise control systems performance depend strongly on actuators and their spatial arrangement. For active noise barriers which vibrations are controlled, actuators are usually permanently attached and their removal or shift is most often impossible without damaging them. However, an actuators rearrangement might be beneficial during preliminary tests or future modifications. This paper explores a magnetic mounting for inertial actuators which are usually permanently glued to the controlled object surface. Magnetic mounting facilitates aforementioned shift or removal, but its influence on the transfer paths and robustness has to be investigated before application. A thorough experimental investigation of these aspects is presented and discussed. © 2023 Stanislaw Wrona et al. Safety and Workload Benefits of automatic Speech Understanding for Radar Label Updates

Air traffic controllers (ATCos) quantified the benefits of automatic speech recognition and understanding (ASRU) on workload and flight safety. As a baseline procedure, ATCos manually enter all verbal clearances into the aircraft radar labels by mouse. In our proposed solution, ATCos are supported by ASRU, which is capable of delivering the required radar label updates automatically. ATCos need to visually review the ASRU-based label updates and only have to make corrections in case of misinterpretations. Overall, the amount of time required for manually inserting clearances, i.e., by selecting the correct input in the radar labels, was reduced from 12,700 s during 14 hours of simulation time down to 405 s when ATCos were supported by ASRU. Considering the additional time of mental workload for verifying ASRU output, there is still a saving of more than one-third of the time for radar label updates. This paper also considers safety aspects, i.e., how often incorrect inputs into aircraft radar labels occur with ASRU. The number of wrong or missing inputs is less than without ASRU support. This paper advances the use case that ASRU could potentially improve safety and efficiency for ATCo operations for arrivals. © 2024 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. Active control of noise transmitted through structures has been gaining a significant interest. The authors have developed an idea of active casings reducing noise generated by devices. For such noise barriers which vibrations are actively controlled, locations where inertial actuators are attached are crucial. It determines the barrier performance to a great extent. However, its not obvious what is exactly the advantage of a precise modeling and optimization over a random or quasi-random arrangement. Depending on the barrier complexity, the modeling and optimization process may be difficult and time consuming. This paper presents a study investigating this aspect with experimental results, attempting to answer whether the effort are worth the obtained results. © 2023 Stanislaw Wrona et al. The efficiency of Active Noise control (ANC) systems largely depends on the arrangement of sensors and actuators, and the properties of the noise source itself. If the environment in which the ANC system is to operate is possible to model, it is beneficial to use an optimization algorithm that will maximize the performance of the ANC system according to the selected cost function, while maintaining design constraints. In this paper noise reduction levels achieved by the ANC system are enhanced by optimization of sensors and actuators arrangement. A Memetic Algorithm is utilized for this purpose. Extensive simulation results are presented for an exemplary real enclosure. The model of the acoustic environment has been obtained by real-world experiments, resulting in identification of 36864 acoustic responses in total. Four new modifications of discrete analog filters (DAF) of second order low frequencies (LPF) on switched capacitors, which are protected by the authors of the article as objects of intellectual property, have been developed and studied. In the considered DAF family, unlike other known circuit solutions, summation of input and output signals is provided using a differential difference operational amplifier. As a result, the low-pass filter transmission coefficient in the passband does not depend on the passive elements of the circuit and is always equal to minus one. Buffer amplifiers in two DAF circuits are necessary to reduce the influence of switching circuits on transient processes. In the Micro-Cap environment, computer simulations of four modifications of DAFs were performed, showing that the proposed DAFs have the amplitude-frequency response of a low-pass filter. Sequences of pulses are given that should control four electronic keys, made, for example, on CMOS transistors. Graphs of transient processes of the DAF are shown for an input sinusoidal signal with an amplitude of 1V and a frequency of 1591 Hz, equal to the pole frequency at a switching frequency of electronic keys of 1 MHz. The DAF transmission coefficients for the input sinusoidal signal in different frequency ranges are determined. It has been established that with the selected parameters of the elements in the considered DAFs, which are low-pass filters, the input signal at a frequency of 159.10 kHz is attenuated by more than 60 dB. © 2024 IEEE.
