The Rotary Inverted Pendulum (RIP) serves as a quintessential benchmark in control theory, representing a challenging and unstable system of paramount importance. In this study, we focus on a Quanser platform to investigate the application and significance of sliding mode control in stabilizing the RIP. The importance of RIP lies in its portrayal of real-world control challenges encountered in industries ranging from manufacturing to robotics. Its inherent instability and underactuation make it an ideal testbed for advanced control strategies. Our research delves into the experimental application of sliding mode control, on the Quanser RIP platform. Through rigorous modeling, simulation, and practical implementation, we aim to demonstrate the effectiveness of this control strategy. This study contributes to the broader discourse on controlsystems and automation, showcasing the potential of sliding mode control in addressing complex and dynamic systems. The outcomes of our research not only advance the understanding of control theory but also have practical implications for industries where precise control and stabilization are critical.

In this paper, a comprehensive investigation of the performance evaluation and validation of a single-phase asynchronous motor pump system coupled with a photovoltaic (PV) power source is presented. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the practicality and effectiveness of this configuration for pumping applications. The RTLAB platform, which enables real-time simulation and emulation of dynamic systems, includes important components, such as the use of a single-phase asynchronous motor as the pump's power source, the incorporation of a PV system to supply renewable energy, and the use of RTLAB for real-time validation. Through rigorous simulation and experimentation, the motor response performance, such as speed, torque, and current response, was analyzed under varying solar irradiance and load conditions. In addition, the PV power and DC bus voltage were supervised after motor driving. This research fills the knowledge gap between the theoretical analysis and real-world applications of single-phase asynchronous motor pump systems combined with PV sources. This approach, which validates the results using RTLAB, provides a validation method to evaluate the performance and guide design choices for effective and environmentally friendly pumping solutions. This paper describes the design and software implementation of a wearable prototype that allows users to monitor the vital signs of COVID-19 patients in quarantine areas. This prototype consists of two parts, the bracelet, andthe Base control unit (BCU). The bracelet is built with ESP8266 and sensors as main components, as well as the battery and other parts needed to fulfill the system's purpose (monitoring the vital signs of COVID-19 patients). At the same time, the Raspberry Pi (SCB) single board computer and GSM/GPRS/HAT are the main components of the Basic control Unit (BCU). The current work describes the main parts of the pseudocode, as well as the activity diagram for the microcontroller and Raspberry Pi. This paper describes the mechanism of sending alert messages, whereby the system's ability to configure two types of alert messages; (1) physician Messages (these Messages will be sent to the physicianassociated with the patient if one or more vital signs reach a critical value; these messages contain all measurements of a patient's vital signs); (2) Authorize messages (these messages will be sent if the quarantine rules are violated; the patient's location will be sent to the authorized person as a Google Mapslink). A well-known advanced driver assistance technology that can be employed for that is the Adaptive Cruise controlsystem (ACC). Cars equipped with ACC system are to control the car speed to follow a driver's set speed closely when there is no leading car. When a slower leading car is present based on distance sensor, the ACC controlled car are able to keep desired distance with respect to the position and velocity of the car in front. This paper presents a design methodology of Adaptive Cruise control (ACC) system for two smart car platform consist of the leading smart car and a host smart car move on a single lane on a laboratory installation. RST algorithm in the multi algorithms structure is proposed to design in real-time architecture for ACC system. RST algorithm is one of the most effective solutions for the real-time control of nonlinear systems or working regimes.
