In this paper a design of the two-degrees-of-freedom H2 regulator for linear scalar plant using polynomial method is considered. The starting point of the presented H2 regulator design method is the well-known result of the so-called factorization approach: the parametrization of all stabilizing two-degrees-of-freedom regulators for a given plant, which has as a result algebraic decoupling of reference tracking and disturbance rejection problem. The solution algorithms include solution of polynomial spectral factorizations and polynomial Diophantine equations. Considered polynomial approach to the design of the H2 optimal control is applied in procedure of design of the H2 optimal control based on the model of a ship represented in polynomial form. Effectiveness of the proposed controlsystem is tested by simulation on the digital computer.

This article presents methods for transforming bond graph models into their representation by block diagrams. The authors show that the use of Simulink S-functions and Bondsim tools will simplify the modelling and simulation of dynamic systems. The application of Bondsim elements is based on Fakri transformation of bond graphs into block diagrams. This article introduces notions of Fakri transformation, such as owner bonds of junctions, internal and external bonds, owner blocks of junctions, and constitutive blocks and connection with Bondsim elements. The efficiency of the proposed approach for modelling dynamic systems is illustrated using an example.

The paper deals with the design of decentralized robust controllers with output feedback for a class of interconnected linear continuous time systems with parametric uncertainties. The uncertainties, in general nonlinear, can appear both in the subsystems as well as in their interconnections. No matching conditions or other similar constraints are to be considered in the complex uncertain system model. The proposed two approaches have been verified on a design of decentralized robust PI controllers using non-iterative LMI based algorithm.

Since a few years, an abundant literature has been published in order to proof the existence of chaotic behaviors both in the field of science and in the field of technique. Until now very few articles studied the conduct of manufacturing production systems. Apparently some production systems let us think that their behavior might be chaotic. Nevertheless, in our opinion, the proof of existing chaos in the production systems has not been totally confirmed. The works presented in this article are aimed to make obvious and to prove the existence of chaotic behaviors in manufacturing production systems. After the presentation of the interest of this study in a manufacturing production environment, we present our analysis method of the dynamic of non-planned production systems. We then justify the choices which have been made regarding in particular: the sub-system in which our study is made, the variable of interest (temporal average of the number of parts in a waiting line), the determinism of the system parameters, and the imposed balance conditions (in the sense that the number of parts is finished regardless of the considered instant). In the second part are presented the results obtained with two manufacturing systems, both very simple and very similar, although they give very different results. We then compare the results with the rules of assignment and management of different waiting lines. In the last part, we show that an actual system, under certain management conditions, can also present a chaotic behavior. This study has been realized from the modeling of a flexible assembly cell.

The main features of Multi-Agent system (MAS) are the cooperation, coordination and communication between agents. One good test-bed for MAS is the robotsoccer. In robotsoccer the behaviour of each player in own team can be calculated. But the behaviour of opponent robots and the ball can not be exactly estimated. It is necessary to predict the future position of the opponent robots and the ball. This paper will present an algorithm for the prediction of position of robots and ball.

The model of a vehicle, represented by a flexible coupling consisting of a spring and damper between two masses, is considered. For the purpose of tracking system design additional dynamics which models the reference input and disturbance was introduced. Different types of reference inputs and disturbances were considered. With the appropriate choice of desired closed-loop pole locations, tracking systems which satisfy the aim of control were obtained. Verification of designed control laws was performed by simulations on digital computer. Obtained results showed satisfying tracking of the reference input in the presence of specific disturbances representing the profile of the road. For the same system under control (vehicle model) self-tuning regulator was also designed using explicit pole-placement adaptive method. Model of the system was represented in polynomial form. controller design was performed by solving Diophantine equation. Simulation results were obtained for sine and rectangular reference input without disturbance and sine reference input in the presence of constant and sine disturbance of various frequencies.

In this paper the concept and implementation ofan Intelligent Motion controller for a Brushless D.C. Motor are presented. Fuzzy logic control and fuzzy reasoning tuning procedures are used for speed and current controllers respectively. A digital signal processor (DSP) based hardware set-up TMS320F240 and a specialized software environment are used to laboratory experiments. Actual experimental results proved the effectiveness of the proposed intelligent motion controller.
