Integrated energy system is a useful tool for achieving the"dual-carbon"goal. In order to explore the demand-side adjustable potential of the comprehensive energy system for lowering carbon emissions, this paper proposes an optimal operation model that accounts for demand response under a carbon trading mechanism. Initially, the demand response is classified into two categories based on the characteristics of the load response. Additionally, a carbon trading mechanism is built for the integrated energy system by allocating the carbon emission quotas for the system using the baseline technique, which is free of charge. The actual carbon emissions from the gas turbine and gas boiler are also taken into account. Ultimately, a low-carbon optimization operation model of the integrated energy system is established, with the goal of minimizing the total cost of energy purchase, carbon trading, and operation and maintenance. The suggested model's validity is then confirmed through four types of typical scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

To design active analog, discrete-analog and digital filters a new method is suggested, taking into account the conditions of selective invariance and using the internal models principle of the dynamic systems. For this purpose, the structure of each basic filter ensures the presence of an explicit spectral model of the filtered signal. Such a filter is selectively invariant, and this property depend only on the spectrum-setting parameters and do not depend on other parameters. It is suggest-ed to carry out the design of the combined selective filters by integration of the suggested basic second-order filters, focusing on the log magnitude plot of the latter. This makes possible to minimize the order of the combined both analog and digital filters. The combined selective filters are distinguished by high stability of selective properties and can be used in the systems for measurement, signal processing, data transmission, as well as automatic and automated control of various social, production and special facilities. © 2024 IEEE.

A CBjT high-speed operational amplifier (op-amp) has been developed and studied, which differs from known in its modified input stage (IS), as well as the architecture of the intermediate 'folded' cascode (FC). The proposed circuits IS and FC circuits solve the problem of increasing the maximum slew rate of the output voltage (SR) in large-signal mode by more than 10 times. In the LTspice environment, computer simulation of an op-amp on complementary bipolar transistors was performed, which shows that the use of the developed transient correction circuits makes it possible to increase SR from 103 V/μs to 1408 V/μs. The logarithmic amplitude-frequency characteristics of the op-amp under study are given for different options for its inclusion - with and without general negative feedback. The leading and trailing edges of the op-amp transient process were studied with an input rectangular pulse signal with an amplitude of 5V at different values of the capacitance of the additional correction capacitor Ck1. The simulation results are presented in the form of a table that establishes the relationship between the numerical values of the maximum rate of rise of the output voltage of the op-amp and the capacitance Ck1. The considered op-amp is recommended for use in various automation devices and communication systems, for example, discrete-analog filters on switched capacitors, high-speed ADC drivers, etc. © 2024 IEEE.

The research work presents a original solution for increasing the efficiency on management Supplied-Customer Services (SCS), based on a causal graph configuration. This approach expresses the connection, interaction, and collaboration between the two main actors, suppliers and consumers of goods and products. The causal graph model is intended for management of supply resources, production capacities, transport activities and customer demands. Initial configuration of this a priori generated graph includes the suppliers and consumers distributed in nodes and the interconnections expressed by the arches of the graph. A causal operator is introduced, which offer the efficient decisions propagation for the estimated solution of the supplier-customer services (SCS) problem. The customers can be served by the corresponding suppliers, or the suppliers must satisfy the services of the consumers, respectively. The road traffic is chosen for transport activities at a specific model to traffic network and appropriate control to avoid congestion and increase the real-time traffic performances for (SCS) management. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is visible on large structures of the supply-customer networks in different industrial and economic fields. © 2022 The Author(s).

The article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of improving the methodology for selecting the operation parameters of the longitudinal differential protection of a power transformer when using new types of current transformers such Rogowski Coils, optical current transformers (including digital ones) and their combinations with traditional current transformers. The results of studies of the characteristics of digital transformers are presented, also the heat, repeatability of construction and continuous operating conditions influence on it are shown. Based on anlysis for these studies possible improvements in the methodology for selecting the operation parameters of the differential protection of the transformer are proposed. These improvements can increse the sensitivity and reliability for differential transformer protection. © 2023 IEEE.

The wind-wave excitations cause structural vibrations on the Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT) pressing the power generation efficiency and reducing the life expectancy. In particular, tower-top displacement and barge-type platform pitch dynamics are extremely sensitive to wind speed and wave elevation to the point that may even lead to structural instability in extreme conditions. Having into account that computational techniques such as Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) are widely used in artificial intelligence because of their strong predicting and forecasting capabilities, the aim of this article is to create a deep-layer ANN model that incorporates Oscillating Water Columns (OWCs) into the barge platform. This ANN model enables to address stability issues of the hybrid floating offshore wind platform. The proposed control-oriented model has been successfully validated to achieve adequate dynamic behavior and structural performance using FAST. © 2022 IEEE.

Cyber-physical power system (CPPS), with its bi-directional power and information flows, is considered as the next generation of widely distributed and automated electrical power network. However, CPPS is vulnerable to malicious cyberattacks that can cause significant operational risk and financial loss to stakeholders, such as electricity system operators. The complexity of vulnerabilities, which arises from the heterogeneity and interdependency of physical and cyber domains, will present substantial challenges for the detection and prevention of cyberattacks. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the defense mechanisms in CPPS against coordinated and widespread cyberattacks. The most prevalent cyberattacks in the CPPS are denial-of-service (DoS) and false data injection (FDI) attacks. This paper examines the state-of-the-art prevention, detection, and mitigation technologies for these major mainstreams and coordinated cyberattacks. In particular, the advantages and disadvantages of popular cyberattack prevention sciences such as Game Theory, Optimization, control Theory, and Data-driven method are discussed. It reveals that cyberattack detection techniques have evolved from traditional state estimation to artificial intelligence-based methods. Finally, the challenges and opportunities for future research on cybersecurity in CPPS are identified. © 2023 IEEE.

Solving the explicit model predictive control (MPC) problem entails enumerating a list of critical regions and their ancillary feedback laws. Unfortunately, their number and the time required to compute them increase exponentially with the problem size (state-space model dimension and length of the prediction horizon). We show that when, as it is often the case, the problem's constraints take the form of boxes or zonotopes, the resulting feasible domain can be compactly described as a constrained zonotope. Subsequently, we investigate whether, and under which circumstances, the combinatorial structure of the constrained zonotope interpretation accelerates the computation of the explicit solution. © 2024 IEEE.

Fine-grained plant pathology classification is an important task for precision agriculture, but at the same time, it is challenging due to the subtle difference in plant categories. Variances in the lighting conditions, position, and stages of disease symptoms usually lead to degradation of classification accuracy. Knowledge distillation is a popular method to improve the model performance to deal with the indistinguishable image classification problem. It aims to have a well-optimised small student network guided by a large teacher network. Existing knowledge distillation methods mainly consider training a teacher network that needs a high storage space and considerable computing resources. Self-knowledge distillation methods have been proposed to distil knowledge from the same network. Although self-knowledge distillation saves time and space compared with knowledge distillation, it only learns label knowledge. In this paper, we propose a novel self-distillation method to recognize the fine-grained plant category, which considers holistic knowledge based on the Squeeze and Excitation Network. We label this new method as holistic self-distillation because it captures knowledge through spatial features and labels. The performance validation of the proposed approach is performed on two public fine-grained plant datasets: Plant Pathology 2021 and Plant Pathology 2020 with the accuracy of 98.22% and 90.72% respectively. We also present experiments on the state-of-the-art algorithm (ResNet-50). The classification results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach with respect to accuracy. © 2023 International Society of Information Fusion.

Sensors are the foundation to facilitate smart cities, smart grids, and smart transportation, and distance sensors are especially important for sensing the environment and gathering information. Researchers have developed various methods to calibrate distance sensors;however, they mainly focus on using external information for calibration, which is inefficient and computationally expensive. To alleviate the above problems, we propose machine learning (ML)-based calibration approaches for distance sensors. We develop two calibration mechanisms, where the naive mechanism directly predicts the true distance, while the residual mechanism predicts the residual for calibration. The conventional ML regression algorithms are then adopted to predict the true distance or calibration residual. Experimental results show that the designed residual calibration mechanism outperforms the naive mechanism by reducing the root mean square error (RMSE) by 92.2% and mean absolute error (MAE) by 93.3% in the fitting task. In prediction, the proposed 2-D-residual mechanism achieves an improvement of 78.6% and 65.7% compared to the state-of-the-art method. The experimental results show the effectiveness and generalization of the proposed ML-based calibration method, especially for the 2-D mechanism, which achieves the highest robustness in all fitting and prediction tasks. © 2001-2012 IEEE.
