The paper considers the application of starting systems for induction motors powered by autonomous sources of limited power. The conditions for the formation of the starting torque of an induction motor with the formation of the required transient characteristics and the control of electromagnetic transient moments under conditions of power supply from a stationary network and an autonomous sources of energy supply of limited power are analyzed. Studies have been carried out on the implementation of the “favorable” switching on mode of a three-phase induction motor powered by an autonomous generator according to the principle of creating non-zero initial conditions. An implementation algorithm has been developed and a technical solution has been proposed for the implementation of a starting device with the implementation of a “quasi-favorable” method for switching on an induction motor under conditions of power supply from autonomous sources of energy supply.

A well-known advanced driver assistance technology that can be employed for that is the Adaptive Cruise control System (ACC). Cars equipped with ACC system are to control the car speed to follow a driver's set speed closely when there is no leading car. When a slower leading car is present based on distance sensor, the ACC controlled car are able to keep desired distance with respect to the position and velocity of the car in front. This paper presents a design methodology of Adaptive Cruise control (ACC) system for two smart car platform consist of the leading smart car and a host smart car move on a single lane on a laboratory installation. RST algorithm in the multi algorithms structure is proposed to design in real-time architecture for ACC system. RST algorithm is one of the most effective solutions for the real-time control of nonlinear systems or working regimes. The results of the experiment have been conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

This work presents a memetic Shuffled Frog Leaping Algorithm(SFLA)based tuning approach of an Integral Sliding Mode controller(ISMC)for a quadrotor type of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV).Based on the Newton–Euler formalism,a nonlinear dynamic model of the studied quadrotor is firstly established for control design *** the main parameters of the ISMC design are the gains of the sliding surfaces and signum functions of the switching control law,which are usually selected by repetitive and time-consuming trials-errors based procedures,a constrained optimization problem is formulated for the systematically tuning of these unknown *** time-domain operating constraints,such an optimization-based tuning problem is effectively solved using the proposed SFLA metaheuristic with an empirical comparison to other evolutionary computation-and swarm intelligence-based algorithms such as the Crow Search Algorithm(CSA),Fractional Particle Swarm Optimization Memetic Algorithm(FPSOMA),Ant Bee Colony(ABC)and Harmony Search Algorithm(HSA).Numerical experiments are carried out for various sets of algorithms’parameters to achieve optimal gains of the sliding mode controllers for the altitude and attitude dynamics *** studies revealed that the SFLA is a competitive and easily implemented algorithm with high performance in terms of robustness and non-premature *** results verified that the proposed metaheuristicsbased approach is a promising alternative for the systematic tuning of the effective design parameters in the integral sliding mode control framework.
