Listwise approaches are an important class of learning to rank, which utilizes automatic learning techniques to discover useful information. Most previous research on listwise approaches has focused on optimizing ranking models using weights and has used imprecisely labeled training data; optimizing ranking models using features was largely ignored thus the continuous performance improvement of these approaches was hindered. To address the limitations of previous listwise work, we propose a quasi-KNN model to discover the ranking of features and employ rank addition rule to calculate the weight of combination. On the basis of this, we propose three listwise algorithms, FeatureRank, BL-FeatureRank, and DiffRank. The experimental results show that our proposed algorithms can be applied to a strict ordered ranking training set and gain better performance than state-of-the-art listwise algorithms.

Input-Output data modeling using multi layer perceptron networks (MLP) for a laboratory helicopter is presented in this paper. The behavior of the two degree-of-freedom platform exemplifies a high order unstable, nonlinear system with significant cross-coupling between pitch and yaw directional motions. This paper develops a practical algorithm for identifying nonlinear autoregressive model with exogenous inputs (NARX) and nonlinear output error model (NOE) through closed loop identification. In order to collect input-output identifier pairs, a cascade state feedback (CSF) controller is introduced to stabilize the helicopter and after that the procedure of system identification is proposed. The estimated models can be utilized for nonlinear flight simulation and control and fault detection studies.

Outdoor images captured during inclement weather conditions generally exhibit visibility degradation. Localized light sources often result from activation of streetlights and vehicle headlights and are common scenarios in these conditions. The presence of localized light sources in hazy images may cause the generation of oversaturation artifacts when those images are restored by traditional state-of-the-art haze removal techniques. Therefore, we propose a novel haze removal approach based on the proposed hybrid dark channel prior technique in order to remedy the problems associated with localized light sources during image restoration. The overall results show that the proposed haze removal approach can recover haze-free images more effectively than can the other previous state-of-the-art haze removal approach while avoiding over-saturation.

The paper proposes a fault-Tolerant integrated control system with the brake and the steering for developing a driver assistance system. The purpose is to design a fault-Tolerant control which is able to guarantee the trajectory tracking and lateral stability of the vehicle against actuator fault *** both actuators affect the lateral dynamics of the vehicle, in the control design a balance and priority between them must be achieved. The method is extended with a fault-Tolerant feature based on a robust LPV method, into which the detected fault information are incorporated. The control design is performed by using the Matlab/Simulink software and the verification of the designed controller is performed by using the CarSim software.
