Psychological resistance can express the change of the client's psychological state, which is considered to be an important factor affecting psychological counseling. This paper proposed a method of psychological resistance recognition based on acoustic features extraction. The method includes three main steps, i.e., statistical acoustic feature extraction, feature selection, and classification. Our method uses statistical acoustic features to express psychological resistance, and analyzes the application value of high correlation features obtained from feature selection in the recognition of different psychological resistance. This method can be used to determine the high correlation features of psychological resistance adaptively, and avoid the deficiency of subjective judgment. A speech database of psychological resistance is built for research needs, in which three psychological consultants and four subjects are involved in psychological counseling with 1200 sentences in speech. The experimental results verified the effectiveness of our method.

Under an abnormal situation in process operations, it is important to find out the root cause, so as to bring the system back to normal timely. In a typical modern industrial facility, there are configured a large number of alarms. Usually, the presence and propagation of a fault may lead to a series of alarms, which hold certain correlations. Therefore, analyzing alarm correlations can help to track the prorogation of faults among alarm variables and thus find out the root cause. This paper proposes a systematic alarm root cause analysis method based on the detection of correlations and time delays between alarm variables. First, two types of alarm correlations based on time stamps of alarm events are defined and the calculation methods are provided. Then, alarms are determined to be correlated or not by comparing with designed thresholds. Last, a causal matrix is formed to present the causal relations between alarms based on the directions of time delays. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by both a numerical example and the benchmark Tennessee Eastman model.

Microwave filters are the core frequency selection device in 5G base station, which play an important role in the field of communication. The errors of design and processing of microwave filter make it difficult to meet the specific requirements of frequency selection, thus the tuning process before delivery is significant. However, the tuning process relies heavily on skilled workers, resulting in low tuning efficiency and high cost. The automatic tuning method based on fuzzy logic does not depend on the model and has strong applicability. It has great practical value to the production trend of multi-variety, small batch and customization of microwave filters. In this paper, a variable universe adaptive fuzzy tuning method is proposed. First, intelligent optimal contraction-expansion factors based on fuzzy inference are proposed according to expert knowledge. Then, the input universe and output universe are multiplied, and the initial rule is transformed into more effective new rules through the transformation which is adaptive to the variable universe. Last, the effectiveness of the proposed tuning method is verified by simulations.

Silicone rubber (SIR) has been widely used in the insulation of cable accessories due to its excellent performance. In this paper, pure SIR and nano Al2O3/SIR composites are thermally aged for 0-80 days at 200°C. The effects of long-term thermal aging on the space charge transport are analyzed. The results show that with the increase of thermal aging time, the accumulation of heteropolar charge of pure SIR and nano Al2O3/SIR composites gradually decreases and changes to the accumulation of homopolar charge. Compared with pure SIR, the space charge accumulation of Al2O3/SIR composites decreases significantly and changes little with the increase of thermal aging time. It is believed that when doped nano Al2O3 in SIR, the increase of carrier mobility and the introduction of metal oxides reacting with fallen free radicals to form stable compounds both lead to less space charge accumulation of Al2O3/SIR composites. © 2022 IEEE.

The agent routing problem in multi-point dynamic task (ARP-MPDT) proposed recently is a novel permutation optimisation problem. In ARP-MPDT, a number of task points are located at different places and their states change over time. The agent must go to the task points in turn to execute the tasks, and the execution time of each task depends on the task state. The optimisation objective is to minimise the time for the agent to complete all the tasks. In this paper, five evolutionary algorithms are redesigned and tried to solve this problem, including a permutation genetic algorithm (GA), a variant of the particle swarm optimisation (PSO) and three variants of the estimation of distribution algorithm (EDA). In particular, a dual-model EDA (DM-EDA) employing two probability models was proposed. Finally, comparative tests confirm that the DM-EDA has a stronger adaptability than the other algorithms though GA performs better for the large-scale instances. Since piezoelectric actuating mechanism generally operate in high frequency response state, fatigue life has become an important factor influencing the performance and reliability of the entire drive mechanism. In order to investigate whether the designed piezoelectric ceramic actuator meets the active control requirements of the aero-engine, the paper analyzes the fatigue characteristics and fatigue life of the piezoelectric ceramic materials and the micro displacement amplification mechanism with finite element analysis softwareˈ and the optimal spacing value is obtained by studying the effect of the flexible hinge spacing on the fatigue characteristics of the displacement amplifier. And then, the fatigue life of the displacement amplifier is analyzed based on the drive load spectrum of the aircraft during simulated flight, whose result is 340.93 hours. Finally, the fatigue life of the piezoelectric actuating mechanism is 32 minutes when loaded with full power, which meets the design target initially.

This paper presents a haptic device with a simple architecture of only two limbs that can provide translational motion in three degrees of freedom (DOF) and one-DOF rotational motion. Actuation redundancy eliminates all forward-kinematic singularities and improves the motion-force transmission property. Thanks to the special structure of the kinematic chains, all actuators are close to the base and full gravity compensation is achieved passively by using springs. Force producibility analysis shows that this haptic device is able to produce long-term continuous force feedback of 15–30 N in each direction. By developing a prototype of the haptic device and a virtual three-dimensional simulator, a preliminary performance evaluation of the haptic device was conducted. In addition, a torque distribution algorithm considering a relaxed form of actuator-torque saturation was experimentally evaluated, and a comparison with other algorithms reveals that this algorithm offers several advantages.

Aerial-aquatic vehicles are capable to move in the two most dominant fluids, making them more promising for a wide range of applications. We propose a prototype with special designs for propulsion and thruster configuration to cope with the vast differences in the fluid properties of water and air. For propulsion, the operating range is switched for the different mediums by the dual-speed propulsion unit, providing sufficient thrust and also ensuring output efficiency. For thruster configuration, thrust vectoring is realized by the rotation of the propulsion unit around the mount arm, thus enhancing the underwater maneuverability. This paper presents a quadrotor prototype of this concept and the design details and realization in practice.

The four-step transportation model plays an important role in urban planning. The quality of the first phase, i.e. trip generation, determines the performance of the global course. The majority of trip generation forecasting models highly rely on mathematical derivation and have many predictor variables during the prediction, which leads to low accuracy of results and requires laboriously hand-crafted design of input vectors. This paper is the first to introduce the gradient boosting decision tree (GBDT) algorithm for trip generation prediction, and harmonizes such a powerful machine learning method with traditional urban planning requirements to achieve better prediction performance. Unlike the commonly used linear regression method, GBDT can automatically perform feature selection and model the non-linear relationships between input and output variables. Experimental results on real-world residential travel census in Beijing prove that the GBDT model significantly outperforms the baseline and can forecast the trip generation more accurately. © 2021 IEEE.
