Application of Robust control Toolbox for Time Delay Systems implemented in the Matlab system to the oscillating plant with uncertain time delay and astatism using the D-K iteration and algebraic approach. The algebraic approach combines the structured singular value, algebraic theory and algorithm of global optimization solving remaining issues in structured singular value framework. The algorithm for global optimization can be alternated with direct search methods such as Nelder-Mead simplex method giving solutions for problems with one local extreme. As a global optimization method, Differential Migration is used proving to be reliable in solving this type of problems. The D-K iteration represents a standard method in the structured singular value theory. The results obtained from the D-K iteration are compared with the algebraic approach.

The successful verification of the authenticity of banknotes, or the detection of counterfeits, is based on the combination of an effective measuring system and computer technology. In this paper, a modern diagnostic method Raman microscopy together with an exploratory tool for processing and interpreting multi-dimensional datasets, and cluster analysis, are used to study structural differences between paper and orange ink used on genuine banknotes. Six currencies of European countries were selected for this study: Croatian kuna, Czech crown, euro, Great British Pound, Polish zloty, and Swiss franc. Raman microscopy offers non-destructive, rapid analysis without any sample preparation and pre-processing, with the potential to recognize structural modification of substances, together with the advantages of optical microscopy. Cotton fibres, TiO2 in two different modifications, and other additives are successfully identified within the spectra. The patterns found in mathematically processed Raman data, especially between the paper, indicate both, the similarities and differences across the various banknotes, even of the same currency. The results serve as a base of the spectral database for authenticity control of banknotes and classification of the materials used. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents a MATLAB Graphical User Interface (GUI) based tool that determines the performance evaluation metrics of the physically unclonable functions (PUFs). The PUFs are hardware security primitives which can be utilized in several hardware security applications like integrated circuits protection, device authentication, secret key generation, and hardware obfuscation. Like any other technology approach, PUFs evaluation requires testing different performance metrics, each of which can be determined by at least one mathematical equation. The proposed tool (PUFs Tool) reads the PUF instances' output and then computes and generates the values of the main PUFs' performance metrics: uniqueness, reliability, uniformity, and bit-aliasing. In addition, it generates a bar code for each PUF instance considered in the evaluation process. The PUFs Tool is designed and developed using the app designer of MATLAB software 2021b. © 2022 IEEE.

With the introduction of 5G networks, high-speed low-latency network connections became available for mobile and embedded devices without the limited range of WiFi networks. Although the source and the destination can now be hundreds of kilometres away, the communication between them can be flawless. Our goal is to have a low cost, low power, lightweight device that is able to stream video for UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles), mobile robot teleoperation over 5G networks to AR/VR (augmented/virtual reality) applications, to large distances without the need for line of sight. In this paper we compare the latency of existing low cost video streamer solutions (UAV camera streaming, single board computer) and present a custom hardware-software solution optimized for low latency, while conducting measurements over different network types (wired, campus 5G, public 5G). We have shown that the custom device was able to achieve with significantly lower latency (50–80 ms direct over direct connection, about 100–150 ms over public 5G).

In vitro dissolution prediction is a field of phar-maceutical research that aims to predict a tablet's dissolution profile using non-destructive methods based on the tablet's measured manufacturing parameters or composition. One of the most popular non-destructive measurements is Raman chemical imaging, which outputs a Raman map. However, because of the current development of the Raman imaging technique, obtaining large training datasets is very expensive and time-consuming. Still, training popular complex deep learning architectures that may achieve better accuracy is only possible with a large dataset. Therefore this article focuses on utilising pre-trained networks and the transfer learning technique to attempt to solve the problem of the small size of training samples. The results showed that deep neural networks with data augmentation and transfer learning could achieve better accuracy than simple convolutional neural networks. The presented strategies showed the need for an extensive dataset could be handled, and the accuracy could be enhanced, although there is room for further refinement.

This study presents an innovative method to improve the accuracy of indoor mapping by deploying and integrating a sensor that transmits two-dimensional data with a three-dimensional mesh created by another device. The Iterative Closest Point algorithm was used to coordinate the different data sets and transform their different coordinate systems into a common indoor map. Prior to this, rigorous image cleaning and matching processes are conducted to ensure the quality of the data used. The effectiveness of this methodology has been validated through multiple tests using a Lidar scanner and a HoloLens 2 Augmented Reality device. This method not only offers potential for enhancing indoor navigation and safety protocols like emergency evacuation but also presents opportunities for advancing asset tracking and other applications.

Quantum computing is progressing at a fast rate and there is a real threat that classical cryptographic methods can be compromised and therefore impact the security of blockchain networks. All of the ways used to secure blockchain like Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA), Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Secure Hash Algorithm 256-bit (SHA256) are the characteristic of the traditional cryptographic techniques vulnerable to attack by quantum algorithms: Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms: can efficiently break asymmetric encryption and speed up brute force attacks. Because of this vulnerability, there exists a need to develop an advance quantum resilient blockchain framework to protect the decentralized ledgers from the future threats of the quantum. This research proposes Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) as a formidable architectural integration, to fortify security of blockchain. Classical encryption is replaced with PQC, QKD with secure key exchange by detecting eavesdropping, and QRNG with improving cryptographic randomness to remove the predictable key vulnerability. Only with a small loss of transaction efficiency, we increase transaction encryption accuracy, key exchange security, and resistance to quantum attacks. In this quantum enhanced blockchain design, the idea is to preserve the decentralization, transparency and security and at the same time overcome the future quantum threat. By going through rigorous analysis and comparative evaluation, we demonstrate that the approach saves blockchain networks from the emerging quantum risks to make sure that the decentralized finance, smart contracts and cross chain transactions. © (2025), (Science and Information Organization). The concept of Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) has recently garnered attention in both industrial and academic fields as a promising hardware primitive for enhancing the security of electronic systems and devices. PUFs leverage inherent manufacturing inconsistencies to generate a distinct key for every device. PUFs utilize the inherent manufacturing variations to generate a distinct key for each device despite using identical input values across all devices. A range of PUF types have been developed, such as optical, electronic, and magnetic variations. However, the Ring Oscillator (RO) PUF stands out particularly due to its simple implementation and impressive performance. Due to the limited combinations of the RO-PUF input-output bits, or as it is called in the field of PUFs, challenge-response pairs (CRPs), researchers have developed the configurable ring oscillator (CRO) PUF, which produces a larger set of CRPs by utilizing a configurable inversion unit (CIU) instead of the standard inverter in the traditional design. Most of the recent research primarily focuses on increasing the size of the CRPs and enhancing security features. Yet, there is a lack of emphasis on investigating how the count of ROs affects the performance of the CRO-PUF. This paper uses several performance metrics to investigate the impact of altering the ring oscillator count on the CRO-PUF.

We present a diffusion probabilistic model (DPM) capable of generating high-quality electroencephalography (EEG) signals. In particular, we investigate the fidelity of synthesized visually evoked potentials and the performance of the novel class-conditioned continuous-time DPM that generates the signals. We carefully select our neural network architecture to prevent generated frequency artifacts in the multi-channel synthesized EEG signals. With progressive distillation, we are able to achieve a single-step diffusion model that still has a competitive performance. With generative metrics and statistical analysis, we show that using DPMs for brain signal generation is feasible. © 2023 IEEE.
