This work studies the identification and control of circulation fluidized bed (CFB) boilers. The CFB boiler under investigation shows strong nonlinearity due to big changes of steam load. A linear parameter varying (LPV) model is used to represent the process dynamics and used in control. The steam flow is used as the working-point variable (scheduling variable) of LPV model. Multivariable plant tests were carried out and a LPV model and a linear model were identified. The identification results of the industrial CFB boiler show that the LPV model has much higher accuracy than the linear model. The simulation studies for the MPC control of the CFB boiler have been performed using both the LPV model and the linear model. The simulation results show that the MPC using the LPV model performs better than the MPC using the linear model.

In the literature for fault detection, most of research works have never been mentioned about the high frequency transformer including capacitances. This paper presents behaviour of winding to ground fault signals in a three-phase two-winding transformer. The advantage of the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is that the band of analysis can be fine adjusted so that high frequency components and low frequency components are detected precisely, consequently DWT is considered herein. The fault is simulated using ATP/EMTP and the behaviour analysis of signals is performed using DWT. The variation of high frequency components of differential current signals is proposed in this paper. The results obtained from the analysis will be useful in the development of a detect fault scheme for power transformer in the future.

The paper presents an approach to PI controller design for systems with varying time delay, which can be interpreted as systems with interval parametric uncertainty. The transfer function of the controlled system is modified by approximation of the time delay term by its Pade expansion or Taylor expansion in the numerator. PI controllers, that are able to assure robust stability of the feedback closed loop with the modified controlled system are found by the graphical method. Then the pole-placement method is used to specify those controller parameters, which assure certain quality of the control performance. Designed PI controllers are implemented using PLC SIMATIC S7-300 and tested by experiments on a laboratory electronic equipment with varying time delay.

Grid is a hardware and software infrastructure which allows the sharing of flexible, secure and coordinated resources among dynamic collections of individuals, organizations and resources. The resources that are utilized in a Grid network are complex. There could be computing resources (PDA, PCs, workstations, servers, and clusters), storage resources (hard-disks, memory), Input-Output resources (sensors, networks, printers) or logical resources (users, timers etc) [1]. With the evolution of Grid systems and with the high capacity data transfer, will occur security issues. This topic is known in the Grid field as some of the necessary element to ensure the safeguard of the resources. Networks are recognized as a critical infrastructure which grew over the years and which continues to grow, because of the increasing dependence on computer systems. The first step in addressing this infrastructure is to understand it. After that, a good analyze should be done in order to avoid the attacks that could occur and to maintain a reliable network [2].

The system configuration, operational requirements for individual components, success criteria and stress on the components, can change from phase to phase. Furthermore, the duration of any phase can use deterministic or random models. All these changes and possibilities affect the system reliability. Thus, in this paper, we analyze the danger's system reliability from this point of view.
