The vehicle scheduling in the logistics system of the steel park is a critical factor determining the scheduling efficiency and logistics throughput. The limited space resources at the entrance of the steel park make vehicles shall be arranged in reasonable batches to guarantee the scheduling consistency. To achieve the purpose, the paper first formulates the model of vehicle batching. Then, the algorithm CCVB (constrained clustering of vehicle batching) is proposed to solve the problem from a clustering perspective. Comparative experiments are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed mechanism can sufficiently improve the scheduling efficiency of steel logistics under limited time and space resources. © 2022 IEEE.

Cancelable biometrics are required in most remote access applications that need an authentication stage such as the cloud and Internet of Things(IoT)*** objective of using cancelable biometrics is to save the original ones from hacking attempts.A generalized algorithm to generate cancelable templates that is applicable on both single and multiple biometrics is proposed in this paper to be considered for cloud and IoT *** original biometric is blurred with two co-prime ***,it can be recovered as the Greatest Common Divisor(GCD)between its two blurred *** changes if induced in the biometric image prior to processing with co-prime operators prevents the recovery of the original biometric image through a GCD ***,the ability to change cancelable templates is guaranteed,since the owner of the biometric can pre-determine and manage the minimal change induced in the biometric ***,we test the utility of the proposed algorithm in the single-and multi-biometric *** multi-biometric scenario depends on compressing face,fingerprint,iris,and palm print images,simultaneously,to generate the cancelable *** metrics such as Equal Error Rate(EER)and Area and Receiver Operator Characteristic curve(AROC)are *** results on single-and multi-biometric scenarios show high AROC values up to 99.59%,and low EER values down to 0.04%.

In the steel logistics park, the operational efficiency is repeatedly compromised due to excessive truck turnaround. For solving this problem fundamentally, the mixed loading relationship of multi-type steel products is excavated and the optimum solution for storage yard is proposed in the paper. Due to the limited stacking space, some products with small outbound demand have to be stacked together. A two-stage model is established to meet the stacking requirements for different outbound quantity of steel products. In the first stage, products with a small amount of stock will be mixed and stacked together according to certain rules. Then all products are allocated to specific yards in the second stage with the goal of maximizing the mixed correlation of steel products in the same yard to reduce the number of transitions for pick-up trucks. At the end, products in large quantities are placed in the stacking position close to the pick-up position. Experiments demonstrate that the proposed scheme is of great benefit to improve the operation efficiency of the logistics park. © 2022 IEEE.

A fully automated artificial pancreas (AP) requires accurate blood glucose (BG) readings. However, many factors can affect the accuracy of commercially available sensors. These factors include sensor artifacts due to the pressure on surrounding tissues, connection loss, and poor calibration. The AP may administer an incorrect insulin bolus due to inaccurate sensor data when the patient is not supervising the system. The situation can be even worse in animal experiments because animals are eager to play with the sensor and apply pressure. In this study, we propose and derive a Multi-Model Kalman Filter with Forgetting Factor (MMKFF) for the problem of fusing information from redundant subcutaneous glucose sensors. The performance of the developed MMKFF was assessed by comparing it against other Kalman Filter (KF) strategies on experimental data obtained in two different animals. The developed MMKFF was shown to provide a reliable fused glucose reading. Additionally, compared to the other KF approaches, the MMKFF was shown to be better able to adjust to changes in the accuracy of the glucose sensors.

This paper is concerned with distributed state estimation problem over sensor networks with uncertainty in communication networks. Because of the instability of communication in real systems, it is meaningful to consider packet loss and topology change. Thus, based on Kalman consensus filtering algorithm and Data-driven filtering technique, we proposed a modified Data-driven Distributed information-weighted Kalman Consensus Filter to estimate the state. Finally, the effectiveness of the designed algorithm is validated by a simulation example.

An adaptive parameter estimation method that ensures fixed-time convergence is proposed for micro-nano positioning system driven by magnetostrictive actuator(i.e., magnetostrictive actuated positioning system). Firstly, the hysteresis nonlinearity of the magnetostrictive actuated positioning system is characterized using the generalized Prandtl–Ishlinskii(GPI) ***, the low-pass filter is introduced to design the adaptive estimation law driven by the estimation error, by which the unmeasured intermediate hysteresis variable can be avoided, and the estimation error converges to zero within a fixed time. Specifically,a modified error variable is designed to deal with the influence of the regression vector, thereby improving convergence performance and simplifying parameter adjustment. Finally, the effectiveness of the presented method is verified by simulation and experimental outcomes.

The power intelligent tools have implemented wireless communication, positioning, perception, data interaction, and work ticket linkage by the implanted RFID tags. The communication performance of implanted tags can be affected by the material of the tool, resulting in performance degradation. In order to learn the degradation of RFID, this paper first analyzes the transmission characteristics and main performance indicators of RFID. Secondly, FEKO software is used to establish to simulate the performance of implanted RFID tag, and the influence of implantation depth and dielectric constant on the transmission performance of RFID tag is studied. Finally, RFID performance test platform is built to test reading distance of different dielectric constants and implantation depths, and the signal to noise ratio and the received signal strength indicator of different transmission distances are tested. Experimental results show that the implantation depth of RFID and the material dielectric constant affect the performance of RFID, and the transmission distance of RFID chips implanted in tools is reduced. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents an event-based asymptotic tracking control scheme designed for strict feedback systems with unknown control directions. The control directions directly determine how the controller acts on the system, thus impacting the system's stability and convergence speed. When the control directions are unknown, it presents a significant challenge in controller design. To tackle this issue, the Nussbaum-type gains are introduced. However, this method increases communication overhead. Hence, an event-triggered mechanism is introduced to alleviate this burden. Additionally, to achieve and maintain desired target states, satisfying control requirements and performance demands, this paper improves the event-triggered mechanism to achieve asymptotic tracking. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed design are validated through a simulation example.

A Low-Carbon Planning Strategy for Integrated Energy System and Hydrogen Refueling Stations with the Retirement of Oil Stations

Hydrogen vehicles (HVs) are believed to be an effective alternative to fossil fuel vehicles for carbon emission reduction. However, the advantage of HVs highly depends on the carbon emissions in the process of hydrogen production. In this paper, a novel two-milestone collaborative planning model is proposed to achieve carbon reduction by integrated energy network transformation. Firstly, in milestone Ⅰ, a low-carbon power system is established by dynamically retiring coal-fired power plants and promoting renewable energy. In milestone Ⅱ, with the help of the carbon emission flow model, hydrogen production stations are innovatively constructed at the nodes with extremely low carbon emission intensity in the power system. Different methods of hydrogen production are adopted, and the coupling of the power and hydrogen networks are effectively employed. Additionally, oil stations are constantly withdrawing under the construction of hydrogen refueling stations for further emission reduction, where the dilemma of cost and environmental concerns is addressed by minimizing the average cost of carbon emission reduction. Finally, the simulation results of a coupled 24-bus power system, 7-point natural gas system, and 9-node hydrogen system verify the effectiveness of the proposed model in establishing an eco-friendly energy system. © 2023, The Authors.
