This article delves into the synergistic potential of integrating Bipolar DC distribution grids, Probabilistic EV load demand forecasting, and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology. It offers a blueprint for electric vehicle (EV) users to smartly improve their financial results. Through the amalgamation of these components, individuals who possess electric vehicles have the potential to mitigate their energy expenditures while concurrently generating additional income. The study reveals that the integration of EV into the distribution system can lead to a substantial increase in daily energy loss, reaching up to 25.91%. However, when V2G technology is employed within the distribution grid, it has the remarkable capability to mitigate this increase in daily energy loss significantly, achieving a reduction of up to 64.12%. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we consider a programmer who needs to develop an agent to publish information on different existing social networks. Several works in the literature allow the interaction of agents with a social network, but as far as we know, they are not focused on the interaction with several networks. Considering this problem, the paper highlights two options the programmer can take to enable the agent to interact with existing social networks and achieve its goal. The first option requires that the programmer knows the features present in the APIs used to interact with social networks, and the consequences that the functions can bring when executed in the system. The second option uses the institutional notion of purpose aiming to reduce the amount of previous knowledge required by the programmer. The paper aims to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these options considering the development of open multi-agent system. The paper considers the synthesis of a combined nonlinear controller of the control multiply-connected system for an input-non-affine plant with delay at the input signal and state. Dynamics of the plant changes in stages. The plant under consideration operates in conditions of a parametric, functional and structural uncertainties, in the presence of a permanent external noise and measurement only the controlled variable (output signal). The structure of a multiply connected control system includes an implicit reference model, predictor-compensator and correction filters. The authors use the hyperstability criterion and method for constructing L-dissipative dynamic systems to synthesize the nonlinear algorithms for combined control system. The structural synthesis is performed by defining the special estimates which guarantee the validity of the V.M. Popov's integral inequality. Operability of the developed hyperstable control system with structural perturbation is ensured with the help of the special L-dissipativity conditions. At the final section of the article with the help of simulation the authors show the quality of the obtained nonlinear control system. The results of the system simulation show the fulfillment of the control goal with a sufficiently high quality. The obtained results may be useful for construction the control systems for technical plants which dynamics can be described as non-affine MIMO-system. For example, the robot-manipulators and some plants of heat power engineering has the mathematical description like multi-connected systems. © 2022 IEEE.

A Novel Hybrid Transformer-Based Framework for Solar Irradiance Forecasting under Incomplete Data Scenarios

Accurate prediction of solar irradiance is crucial for the effective utilization of solar energy. However, in real-world scenarios, complex irradiance patterns and prevalent incomplete data pose challenges to precise forecasting, resulting in additional uncertainties and instability. To address these issues, this study proposes a novel irradiance forecasting model that integrates a Mask-Transformer data imputation module and a prediction module centered around the typical patterns representation mechanism. The Mask-Transformer leverages a mask modeling mechanism to model the context of missing data, facilitating accurate estimation of missing values and reducing noise and uncertainty in the input data. The typical patterns representation mechanism comprises a series decomposition module and a feature fusion module, providing the module with the capability to mitigate nonlinearity and nonstationarity in solar irradiance data. This enhancement leads to improved short-term forecasting performance while maintaining long-term forecasting capabilities. Experimental results on two datasets demonstrate that the proposed model exhibits sufficient robustness and accuracy, making it effective in scenarios with incomplete data. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

In a computer-based anaesthesia control system, the depth of hypnosis must be correctly maintained. The regulated variable is the Bispectral Index scale (BIS) controlled via the Propofol drug rate. The anesthesiologist administers Propofol to prevent unwanted fluctuations in the controlled variable during surgical stimulation, which acts as an unmeasurable disturbance on the BIS signal. In this paper, a feedback controller is paired with a feedforward control action. Based on existing clinical protocols, a digitalized disturbance signal that mimics the actual surgical stimulus is employed in the feedforward controller design as a measurable disturbance. To account for the time delay in the BIS measurements, a time delay estimation algorithm is developed and used to estimate the patient time delay. The digitalized disturbance signal is then shifted based on the estimated time delay to ensure a pre-emptive action of the feedforward controller. Two different designs of the feedforward controller are developed. Closed loop simulations considering a nominal patient with and without the feedforward control action are presented and compared. The results show that the surgical stimulus is better tackled using a feedforward control action, even if the actual surgical stimulus is not entirely known.

Compliant interaction control is a key technology for robots performing contact-rich manipulation *** design of the compliant controller needs to consider the robot hardware because complex control algorithms may not be compatible with the hardware performance,especially for some industrial robots with low bandwidth *** paper focuses on effective and easy-to-use compliant control algorithms for position/velocity-controlled *** by human arm stiffness adaptation behavior,a novel variable target stiffness(NVTS)admittance control strategy is proposed for adaptive force tracking,in which a proportional integral derivative(PID)variable stiffness law is designed to update the stiffness coefficient of the admittance function by the force and position ***,its stability and force-tracking capability are theoretically *** addition,an impact compensator(Impc)is integrated into the NVTS controller to enhance its disturbance-suppression capability when the robot is subjected to strong vibration disturbances in complicated surface polishing *** proposed controllers are validated through four groups of experimental tests using different robots and the corresponding results demonstrate that they have high-accuracy tracking capability and strong adaptability in unknown environments.

Differential signals are key in control engineering as they anticipate future behavior of process variables and therefore are critical in formulating control laws such as proportional-integral-derivative(PID).The practical challenge,however,is to extract such signals from noisy measurements and this difficulty is addressed first by *** in the form of linear and nonlinear tracking differentiator(TD).While improvements were made,TD did not completely resolve the conflict between the noise sensitivity and the accuracy and timeliness of the *** two approaches proposed in this paper start with the basic linear TD,but apply iterative learning mechanism to the historical data in a moving window(MW),to form two new iterative learning tracking differentiators(IL-TD):one is a parallel IL-TD using an iterative ladder network structure which is implementable in analog circuits;the other a serial IL-TD which is implementable digitally on any computer *** algorithms are validated in simulations which show that the proposed two IL-TDs have better tracking differentiation and de-noise performance compared to the existing linear TD.
