The electrohydraulic servo systems used in the industrial production are characterized by relatively simple construction, easy operation and high speed, good reliability, functional flexibility and low cost. All this demonstrates the need to study the performance of electrohydraulic servo system primarily in dynamic operating modes. The article studies a mathematical model of electrohydraulic servo system with the typical nonlinearities. The parametric optimization of the automatic PID controller was performed on the basis of minimizing the integral quality criterion when comparing reference and experimental transient processes. The obtained results are shown in a graphical form. © 2020 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

This presentation deals mainly with wind turbines of low power, which are the base of mobile electrical installations used in agriculture, geological field parties, uninhabited areas where pipelines run, for cathodic protection, etc. In the stationary version, low-power renewable energy sources based on wind turbines can be used as backup power devices by the Ministry of Emergencies, as well as in the equipment of the road network. The basis of such wind turbines is constituted by permanent magnet generators, which have structural simplicity and high reliability. The article discusses the optimal control of the electric drive and the analysis of the linear current diagram.

Two promising modifications of the multi-functional programmable active filters (PAF) are developed and investigated. The proposed PAF circuits of second order are implemented on the operational amplifiers and have an increased stability of the Q-factor. The basic equations and the results of computer simulation are presented, showing that the developed circuits implement band-pass filters (BPF), low-pass filters (LPF) and high-pass filters (HPF). New modifications of the PAFs allow resetting of the pole frequency using resistor arrays R-2R or digital potentiometer microcircuits. A comparison of the main characteristics of the proposed PAF and the PAF based on famous KHN filters is given. © 2020 IEEE.

The use of simulation environments is becoming more significant in the development of autonomous cars, as it allows for the simulation of high-risk situations while also being less expensive. In this paper, we presented a framework that allows the creation of an autonomous vehicle in the AirSim simulation environment and then transporting the simulated movements to the TurtleBot. To maintain the car in the correct direction, computer vision techniques such as object detection and lane detection were assumed. The vehicle's speed and steering are both determined by Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers. A virtual personal assistant was developed employing natural language processing to allow the user to interact with the environment, providing movement instructions related to the vehicle's direction. Additionally, the conversion of the simulator movements for a robot was implemented to test the proposed system in a practical experiment. A comparison between the real position of the robot and the position of the vehicle in the simulated environment was considered in this study to evaluate the performance of the algorithms.

Despite standards on electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring in medical diagnostics, signal acquisition is prone to noisy artefacts and rely greatly on the quality of skin contact and signal transducing interference. Electrodes, serving as indispensable conduits in ECG signal acquisition, act as the crucial interface between the human body and recording instrumentation. The usage of traditional gel electrodes may provoke skin irritation, by contrast, the advent of embroidered electrodes, a contemporary innovation, holds the promise of more comfort monitoring. However, the sustainability quotient and predictive precision of these novel electrodes require more in-depth investigation. This paper endeavors a comprehensive evaluation of both gel and embroidered electrodes concerning ECG signal acquisition. Simultaneously, the study aims to construct a polynomial regression model leveraging advanced machine learning (ML) tools. The inferred model predicts embroidered signals based on experimental data obtained from gel electrodes. The methodology encompasses systematic data collection, preprocessing, insightful analysis, and the application of data-driven techniques. The findings of this study highlight the viability of embroidered electrodes as a compelling alternative, transcending traditional paradigms. Employing ML tools, the developed model achieves predictive accuracy, reflected in robust R2 values extending up to 94.9%. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This work aims to study postsurgical trauma modeling to characterize the physiological process in postoperative pain assessment in an observational trial. The skin impedance data is proposed to be fitted by derived-Cole models, i.e., single and double dispersion models and a distributed model with an inductive term related to sweat glands. These models are motivated by the biological characteristics of the skin, its physiological stratification and the current intra-and extra-cellular pathways. The correlation between the identified parameters with the patient’s pain reported using the numerical rating scale (NRS) is analyzed for one patient for all three models. Following the trial, a statistically significant positive linear relationship was observed between the Anspec-Pro index and NRS (r 2 = 0.16, p=0.00), driving the further study of the relationship between the estimated dielectric parameters. The paper focuses to analyze the changes of the coefficients related to the particular clinical data, successfully identified using the non-linear least square procedure. The clinical significance of the results may be related to the individual model parameters for postoperative pain detection, validated on patients.

This contribution considers the problem of digital causal modal control of a MIMO system with LTI-actuator and a linear periodic object under the assumption that the period of the object coincides with the sampling period of the discrete controller. Necessary and sufficient conditions of modal controllability are given and the algorithm of construction of the set of corresponding solutions is offered. The described method based on the application of mathematical apparatus of determinant polynomial equations does not require the use of a state observer.
