The paper deals with a electro-hydraulic followup system with rotary actuator. Developed a mathematical model describing the dynamics of the processes. A neuro-fuzzy controller has been synthesized and the transient processes in the system are compared to the processes where the classical PD controller is used. The results from numerical experiment are presented in graphical form.

Authors of this article are being recommended a new approach to concurrent checking method arrangement, composed of main features of Self-Dual Complement Method together with constant-weight code. According to analysis we may state that in the event of single control application based on self-dual function characteristic either via being arranged digital word to constant-weight code, some errors of comprised circuit may not be detected. Unification procedure while functional control of two characteristics helps us to advance the whole concurrent error-detection (CED) system regarding errors identification. In this article we are presenting realization method of concurrent checking in accordance with Self-Dual Complement Method up to constant-weight code. It was demonstrated that to ensure supervision characteristic per two symptoms of the system we may apply constant-weight code 'r out of 2r' (r-weight value of the digital word of the constant-weight code). In this case, the developed via authors method of CED system arrangement considered self-dual features for each function of the constant-weight code words. The most effective instrument in this approach is reckoned code '2 out of 4' with simple checker structure for the purpose of the entire check out of few coded combinations. In the event of multiple outputs circuits those exit ports should be divided per four groups for each of those matrices and outputs of separate control circuits must be unified upon self-checkable comparator output. The abovementioned option allowed us to widen the aforementioned way to synthesis of combinational circuits under supervision. © 2019 IEEE.

The article dwells upon a problem of reliability of automatic control systems used in the power supply units of spacecrafts. Preserving the survivability of these systems in the process of long autonomous functioning assumes not only a quantitative reservation of their units but the relevant structural organization of their interaction too. The most perfect prototypes of such organization are the biological systems possessing the attribute of homeostasis, i.e., an ability of adaptation to the changing living conditions. Hence, we discuss here the way of realization of this attribute in a control system of spacecraft power supply based on the principles of modularity, hierarchy and the division of functions that are the elements composing the evolutionary concept of multialternativity. The system itself is a multilevel structure with modular components at each level. Transfer of control functions between different modules and levels of a system is carried out automatically depending on the current value of power consumption, opacity of solar panels and the existence of faulty units in the system. When power sources are not sufficient for full provision of all consumers, the system continues it's functioning with the increased value of regulation error until some critical threshold value is reached and after that the system is triggered to the mode of limited power supply. The problem of stability of such system with a variable structure is solved by way of transfer to an active condition of that part of the whole system which is sufficient for active regulation of power output. The identity of modules provides the invariance of dynamic properties of a system in the whole range of a workload. Moreover, the formation of unblocked sub-ranges or zones of active regulation for each module prevents possible avalanche failures in the system.

The paper focuses on presenting the advantages of context aware cyber-physical systems through an experimental platform capable of assessing its surroundings and self-performing decisions. The context aware paradigm is present in the control law implementation with various advantages such as energy efficiency as well as in the environmental measurements that trigger the robot to perform context-relevant decisions. The platform provides high versatility and the results presented throughout the study can be adapted to a manifold of multidisciplinary fields.

This paper describes the research and development of the digital stereo encoder FM transmitter including its implementation on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The development of structural schemes of the digital part of the FM transmitter exciter, the stereo encoder and the digital synthesizer of the sine wave on the FPGA is also described. Paper includes a description of development of a digital synthesizer of a sinusoidal signal on a FPGA, which uses a tabular method to generate the sinusoidal wave, fourth part of its period is written to memory and the rest of the period is calculated using the first part. To generate five sinusoids of different frequencies in a stereo encoder, only one table in memory used. The simulation of the stereocoder on the FPGA in carried out in the specialized Computer-Aided Design (CAD). The graphs of the left and right balance signals, the sum and difference of these signals, the signal of difference of the two sine waves which have their amplitude modulated and with a carrier signal of 19 kHz and the complex stereo signal are constructed. After receiving a complex stereo signal its frequency modulation is carried out with a carrier signal of 100 MHz, the FPGA chip outputs the frequency code of modulated signal. © Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2019.

Autotuning of a Robust Fractional Order PID controller

Fractional order PI/PD controllers are generalizations of the well-known PI/PD controllers with an extra parameter usually used to enhance the robustness of the closed loop system. In this paper, an autotuning method, referred to as the fractional order KC autotuner, is presented for tuning fractional order PI/PD controllers. The method is an extension of a previously presented autotuning principle and produces controllers, which are robust to system gain variations. Additionally, the method can also be adapted to obtain robust controllers to time delay, time constant variations, etc. The advantages of this autotuning method reside in the simplicity of the approach: 1) it requires solely one single sine test on the process; 2) it does not need the process model and 3) it eliminates the complex nonlinear equations in the traditional fractional order controller design procedure. Numerical examples are included to validate the method. © 2018

This paper proposes a scheme to achieve fault tolerant control to elevator failure of large aircraft. Meanwhile, the model of aircraft is expressed by linear-parameter-varying (LPV), and an LPV controller is designed. The approaches of H-infinity and pole assignment using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) tools are used to design the states feedback controller, keeping the stability, rapidity and robustness. Moreover, an additional scheduling parameter of effectiveness of the elevator is introduced to the model and controller, keeping the desired performance when elevator failure happens by the nominal controller, avoiding the retuning the controller. The simulation are shown to prove the method. © 2020 Institution of Engineering and Technology. All rights reserved.

The time limit of the transient process (TP) in the measuring circuit (MC) is determined by known criteria. These criteria use a first-order dynamic link model. Typically, this model is a priori model for the measurement problems discussed above. In on-line mode, the interval criterion (IC) is used. There is a limitation in the form of a critical value of the time constant (TC) to apply the criterion. Previously, it was found that such a restriction exists for the MC model in the form of a dynamic link of the second order. The functional dependence of the critical value on the parameter in the form of the ratio of the second-order dynamic link TC model was found. This restriction on the use of IC develops the fact that there is such a restriction for MC with a first-order model. It is advisable to analyze the performance of the IC for the third-order MC model. These models are widely used in the simulation of measuring channels. Thus, it is possible to generalize such studies. In this study we used a model with transfer function presented in terms of the diagram Vyshnegradsky with parameters 'A' and 'B'. In this paper, the IC is analyzed for the area of the aperiodic regime of the MC. The simulation results showed that the functional dependence of the critical value on the parameters is presented as a complex surface. For the bisector of the diagram at A and B>8, the critical value is stabilized and set at the level characteristic of the first order model. Based on the information about the behavior of the critical value of the interval criterion for MC with structural uncertainty, it is possible to construct robust algorithms that implement IC. The time limit of the transient process (TP) in the measuring circuit (MC) is determined by known criteria. These criteria use a first-order dynamic coupling model. Typically, this model is apriori model for the measurement problems discussed above. © 2019 IEEE.

Validation of the KC Autotuning Principle on a Multi-Tank Pilot Process

PIDs are the most widely used controllers in industrial applications. This particular interest generates on-going research regarding simplified tuning methods appealing to the industrial user. Such methods refer also to a fast design of PID controllers in the absence of a mathematical model of the process. Autotuners represent one way of achieving such a fast design. In this paper, the experimental validation of a previously presented direct autotuner is presented. The autotuning method requires only one simple sine test on the process to compute the PID controller parameters. The case study consists in the Quanser Six Tanks Process. Comparisons with other popular tuning methods are also presented. The results show that the proposed autotuning method is a valuable option for controlling industrial processes.

Currently, the main communication means and management of the participants behavior in mass events, including unauthorized ones, are portable mobile devices, through which, in the social network framework a, text messages are sent to manipulate people's behavior. In the article the problem of mass events participants binary classification on representing and not representing a threat is considered. A convolutional neural network is used as a classification tool.
