Analysis of barriers to the development of Industrial Internet of Things technology and ways to overcome them

As is known, in 2019 the national program 'Digital Economy of the Russian Federation' was launched. In the first phase, nine roadmaps were developed, of which six were approved by the Prime Minister. Participation in the development of these roadmaps provides a fresh perspective on some particular problems. The authors reveal some details of the approach to the implementation of the 'Industrial Internet of Things' direction. Some specific differences of the industrial Internet from the regular Internet are discussed using examples. Some conclusions are drawn about the directions for further research in this area.

The emergence of the Internet of things (IoT), web of things, when heterogeneous devices need to have access to the Internet, leads to the need to solve serious problems to ensure the reliable and security operation of such devices. Developing a model of the IoT system states in conditions of growing attacks on the IoT infrastructure, taking into account the energy spent on round-the-clock maintenance of the IoT system, and the timely installation of patches for the router's firewall software, will allow investigating the IoT systems availability from the point of view of providing their security and energy efficiency. The purpose of this paper is to improve the availability model of Smart Office (SO) and to investigate it in terms of server and router power modes, router and server faults and failures, successful cyber-attacks and timely installation of patches on possible router firewall vulnerabilities. © 2018 IEEE.

This paper provides an overview of a cross-disciplinary approach to establish an interdisciplinary platform for bachelor students during their training before making a decision for specialisation. The dynamical system analysis for modelling, identification and control is applied in a versatile manner. This paper tackles the discipline of chemical and material technology basis training program and proposed a platform for such interdisciplinary education. In areas where evaluation of materials/fluid properties with non-Newtonian characteristics is necessary and beneficial, from an education standpoint is important to have efficient, low cost and motivational laboratory setups and competence development project based work. Here, we propose a low cost setup and dedicated methodology protocol for dynamic analysis of properties for the purpose of control. A non-exhaustive set of control-related applications across educational projects in various disciplines is given. The newly introduced setup is used in the first year bachelor student as a common basic experimental setup for first hand testing - irrespective of student specialisation. This has the advantage of providing a setup with broad features. The proposed framework and experimental platform are also relevant for use in specialised Master programs.

Semi-supervised learning appeared when people understood that ignoring the possibility of getting benefit from unlabeled data during supervised learning with little labeled data is not wise. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of this as much more unlabeled data exists than labeled and much easier it can be collected. Many semi-supervised learning methods were developed over the past decades. A new approach is presented in this paper, which is based on using spiking neural networks in the pre-training phase. Spiking neural networks are biologically plausible neural networks, which try to simulate the behavior of neurons and processes which occur in biological neural networks. Most of the learning rules used in spiking neural networks are unsupervised as unsupervised learning is thought to be a major drive for developmental plasticity in the brain. It is considered that it is hard for the brain to do supervised learning, things like doing math or classification. In a nutshell, the proposed method is a combination of the advantages of both spiking neuron networks (unsupervised learning) and classical artificial neural networks (supervised learning). We showed that such approach may increase the accuracy of the classifier when a small amount of labeled data is given.

Feature of modern scientific information systems is their integration with computing applications, providing distributed computer simulation and intellectual processing of Big Data using high-efficiency computing. Often these software systems include legacy applications in different programming languages, with non-standardized interfaces. To solve the problem of applications integration, containerization systems are using that allow to configure environment in the shortest time to deploy software system. However, there are no such systems for computer simulation systems with large number of nodes. The article considers the actual task of combining containers into a cluster, integrating legacy applications to manage the distributed software system MD-SLAG-MELT v.14, which supports high-performance computing and visualization of the computer experiments results. Testing results of the container cluster including automatic load sharing module for MD-SLAG-MELT system v.14. are given.

The time limit of the transient process (TP) in the measuring circuit (MC) is determined by known criteria. These criteria use a first-order dynamic link model. Typically, this model is a priori model for the measurement problems discussed above. In on-line mode, the interval criterion (IC) is used. There is a limitation in the form of a critical value of the time constant (TC) to apply the criterion. Previously, it was found that such a restriction exists for the MC model in the form of a dynamic link of the second order. The functional dependence of the critical value on the parameter in the form of the ratio of the second-order dynamic link TC model was found. This restriction on the use of IC develops the fact that there is such a restriction for MC with a first-order model. It is advisable to analyze the performance of the IC for the third-order MC model. These models are widely used in the simulation of measuring channels. Thus, it is possible to generalize such studies. In this study we used a model with transfer function presented in terms of the diagram Vyshnegradsky with parameters "A" and "B". In this paper, the IC is analyzed for the area of the aperiodic regime of the MC. The simulation results showed that the functional dependence of the critical value on the parameters is presented as a complex surface. For the bisector of the diagram at A and B>8, the critical value is stabilized and set at the level characteristic of the first order model. Based on the information about the behavior of the critical value of the interval criterion for MC with structural uncertainty, it is possible to construct robust algorithms that implement IC. The time limit of the transient process (TP) in the measuring circuit (MC) is determined by known criteria. These criteria use a first-order dynamic coupling model. Typically, this model is apriori model for the measurement problems discussed above.

The method for solving the problem of determining the influence of the faults in the access network on the service quality is presented. The solution of this problem is very important for large telecommunication service operators. The method combines rule-based approach and algorithmic approach to solve the problem in IP networks with RIP and OSPF protocols. The model of a network node, the algorithm and the rules for the considered routing protocols are developed. The evaluation of the proposed method is performed by modeling of large access network. The results show the operability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

The violence is one of the problems of our society. Violence prevention requires violence detection first, which needs a lot of human resources, and therefore it cannot be done instantly and ubiquitously. With the development of technologies it became possible to detect violence with minimal human interaction. In this paper, we describe principles and methods to build an automated system for violence detection. Proposed system is able to make violence detection simple, instant and ubiquitous. It was designed to recognize violence not only during the time it occurs but to predict it for some time before, basing on interpretation of verbal and nonverbal signals of a person. In addition, the system may use different external data sources to get information about the persons and environment to include it into reasoning process, therefore increase prediction accuracy.

The project provides recognition by dactyl of sign language.

The article discusses promising designs of high-speed electric motors for autonomous medical instruments. These machines ensure the creation of an autonomous electromechanical tool with low energy consumption, which predetermines the possibility of its use in field conditions. On the other hand, higher ergonomic indicators contribute to better performance of operations.
