The report considers a closed system S d , consisting of a linear continuous periodic object having a period T, and an impulse regulator functioning with a quantization period T d =dT, where is an integer. On the basis of the theory of determinant polynomial equations, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the modal controllability of the system Sd are obtained. In the absence of modal controllability, necessary and sufficient conditions for the stabilisability of the system S d are given.

In this paper the application of robust Fractional Order Proportional-Integral (FO-PI) autotuning control strategy is presented and applied to heterogeneous dynamic systems using decentralized control. The automatic tuning of controller gains is based on a single sine test, with user-defined robustness margins guaranteed. Its performance is compared against two other fractional order controllers based on PI gain-crossover autotuning method and Internal Model control (IMC). The closed loop control simulations applied on the heterogeneous dynamic systems indicate that the proposed method performs properly. © 2018

The paper describes the research in the field of improving the principles of control in railway transport. The possibilities of using optical sensors in the system of providing train traffic in place of traditional rail circuits operating on the basis of electric current are considered. The way of installation and fastening of sensors to railway rails is described, as well as the principle of linking them to the system. A block diagram of the system for recording the parameters of moving units based on optical sensors is given. The results of experimental investigations of sensors on the "Shushary" marshalling yard of the October Railway of Russian Railways are described with the participation of the authors. It is shown that optical sensors can be used for the positioning of conveyance units, but it is proposed to expand the sensor functions from discrete control to the means of measuring a number of crucial parameters of conveyance units.

The present paper presentes the tuning of a Fractional Order Proportional Integral (FOPI) controller for second-order-plus-time-delay (SOPDT) plants. The tuning procedure is based on imposing frequency domain constraints for the open loop system with the FOPI controller and the SOPDT plant. The gain crossover frequency, phase margin and the iso-damping property that guarantees a certain degree of robustness to gain variations are imposed in order to obtain the parameters of the fractional order controller. The proposed method is validated by real life implementation on a process whose dynamics are approximated to a SOPDT model. The settling time, steady state error, robustness and disturbance rejection capabilities are analyzed using experimental test cases.

The results of theoretical researches of construction of a eddy-current defectoscope with a coupled measuring oscillatory circuit with a transformer coupling for the quality monitoring of welding seams of metal products are presented. This device can be used in eddy-current (electromagnetic) defectoscopy for automatic and manual control of metal products in cases where it is difficult to fix the gap between the laying-in eddy-current converter (inductance coil), which contains the measuring oscillatory circuit, and the controlled surface of the ferromagnetic product. The main advantages of using coupling oscillatory circuits in the construction of resonance eddy-current defectoscopes are presented.

Combining centralized and distributed management within hierarchical management system of cloud data center allows to ensure the scalability and to determine the global system state. The authors apply the hierarchy theory by decomposing a cloud data center into an infrastructure, a platform and application layers each consisted of processes that can be managed separately while taking into account different objectives. The authors propose the architecture of a multilayer hierarchical management system for the complex object such as cloud data center. The proposed architecture combines traditional resource management techniques with templates and configuration management on higher layers of the hierarchical model. It allows controlling information services of a cloud data center on the criterion of minimizing costs and minimizing the deviation of the quality of service parameters from the given ones. The proposed model can also be used to assess the effectiveness of the service management by the quality of provided services, by the cost of using data center resources and by the cost of SLA violation penalty.

The article is devoted to the development of a generalized formalized approach to the choice of a cutting tool at the stage of pre-production engineering. The relevance of the study, aiming at increasing the efficiency of acquisition of the tooling system for machine tool equipment with CNC, is substantiated. The shortcomings of the heuristic method (most frequently used during the equipment and tools selection) are indicated, the ways of solving this problem are shown. The application limitations of the developed approach are shown, the application of the qualimetric approach is justified. The work uses the theory of sets, mathematical programming, elements of the decision-making theory. An algorithm for multicriteria selection of a cutting tool is developed, and software based on it, which provides the technologist with a ranked list of tools that are optimal for a given process. It is supposed that the developed method can be integrated into existing CALS-systems at manufacturing enterprises.

The article presents the results of studies that allowed us to establish that in order to ensure stable operation of the multiple insert tools on CNC machines in a given time interval, it is necessary to control the cutting properties of replaceable multi-sided carbide inserts. The paper suggests a method for determining the cutting properties of the carbide multiple insert tools and the physical and mechanical properties of the material using of the thermal EMF value generated by a natural thermocouple, composed of the tool material and the material to be processed. The physical validation of the thermal EMF signal analog-to-digital conversion use for the state of carbide inserts evaluation in the set of built-up tool is given. Fast-flowing contact processes in the intermittent cutting conditions are analyzed. A relationship between the thermal EMF value of the trial run and the energy coefficient in the permissible cutting speed formula is established. Experimental research on intelligent production machine showed the effectiveness of the suggested method.

The control systems of multi-channel multiphase queuing systems are considered. The control system is based on the methodology of optimal aggregation, therefore there are no restrictions on the form of the functions "costs, output" and probability distribution functions. The methods of optimal aggregation solve the optimization problem for continuous, discrete and integer functions of the class "costs, output". Processes for servicing the flow of objects has two modes: the absence and presence of queues. Software modules for analyzing and predicting of the requirements flow, optimal service in the presence and absence of queues are developed.

In steam/water loop for large scale ships, there are mainly five sub-loops posing different dynamics in the complete process. When optimization is involved, it is necessary to select different prediction horizons for each loop. In this work, the effect of prediction horizon for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system is studied. Firstly, Nonlinear Extended Prediction Self-Adaptive controller (NEPSAC) is designed for the steam/water loop system. Secondly, different prediction horizons are simulated within the NEPSAC algorithm. Based on simulation results, we conclude that specific tuning of prediction horizons based on loop’s dynamic outperforms the case when a trade-off is made and a single valued prediction horizon is used for all the loops.
