Continuum robots have the great potential in endoluminal diagnosis and intervention toward narrow and confined workspace. However, fabrication of continuum robots still poses a grant challenge in its miniaturization. To solve this, this paper designs a thermally drawn monolithic polymer continuum robot with laser cutting profile. First, the continuum robot is designed with two degrees of freedom (DOF) for shape deflection, and it consists of four optical fibers with the fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor on each for tension sensing as driving cables. Second, its main body is a multi-channel polycarbonate (PC) tube produced by thermal drawing process, and a series of rectangular cutouts are made on it via laser cutting process. By combining these two fabrication processes, the developed continuum robot realizes the integration of the multi-channel structure and the notch feature. Third, a control framework of puller-follower controller using the integrated tension sensing is proposed for teleoperation control. Finally, experimental setup is built for the robot validation, and results show that the repeated positioning accuracy of the robot is 1.08 mm. Moreover, a micro endoscope and a needle are added to the end of the continuum robot, and a phantom study of auripuncture and drug delivery is completed to verify the preliminary feasibility. And the proposed fabrication approach enables the miniaturization and complex structure for the cable-driven continuum robots. © 2023 IEEE.

The robots have been used in the inspection of industrial wireless sensor networks (IWSNs), that includes data collection and wireless charging. The sensor nodes are always densely deployed and their appearances are similar, thus it is a non-trivial challenge to identify a specific node by the machine vision. To solve this problem, we propose to use the proximity estimation algorithm, which uses wireless signals to estimate neighbor nodes, to help the robot to identify a specific node in the network. The algorithm is deployed a patrol inspection testbed with a mobile robot and multiple sensor nodes, and the experiments are executed to verify its performance. The experimental results show that the proximity estimation algorithm is a reasonable solution to identify similar nodes in the inspection of the IWSN. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this paper, high-speed train is regarded as a single prime point, a new tracking control method combining adaptive control and Kalman filtering is proposed. This paper solves the noise interference problem in the tracking control process of high-speed train. The method first linearises the original system, then uses Kalman filtering to do model estimation, and the controller is designed for the predictive model through adaptive control. Finally, MATLAB is used to simulate and verify the effectiveness of this method. This proposed method successfully solves the problems of nonlinearity, noise interference and unknown parameters in system. The error caused by resistance in the high-speed train tracking control process can be dealt with effectively.

To solve the problem of low performance of network intrusion detection,a deep learning intrusion detection model based on space-time fusion features and attention mechanism—CLT-net is *** this model,space-time fusion features are obtained by integrating convolutional neural network and long short-time memory network,and attention module is added to calculate the importance of the input features,and softmax function is used for *** a large number of simulation experiments on NSL-KDD data sets,CLT-net has significantly improved the convergence of the training set and the accuracy of the test *** with the traditional CNN model with similar structure and the space-time fusion CLSTM the accuracy of the model increased by 11.8% and 10.9%*** shows that this model has great potential in the application field of network intrusion detection.

Service mobile robots are often required to avoid dynamic objects while performing their tasks, but they usually have only limited computational resources. So we present a lightweight multi-modal framework for 3D object detection and trajectory prediction. Our system synergistically integrates LiDAR and camera inputs to achieve real-time perception of pedestrians, vehicles, and riders in 3D space. The framework proposes two novel modules: 1) a Cross-Modal Deformable Transformer (CMDT) for object detection with high accuracy and acceptable amount of computation, and 2) a Reference Trajectory-based Multi-Class Transformer (RTMCT) for efficient and diverse trajectory prediction of mult-class objects with flexible trajectory lengths. Evaluations on the CODa benchmark demonstrate superior performance over existing methods across detection (+2.03% in mAP) and trajectory prediction (-0.408m in minADE5 of pedestrians) metrics. Remarkably, the system exhibits exceptional deployability - when implemented on a wheelchair robot with an entry-level NVIDIA 3060 GPU, it achieves realtime inference at 13.2 fps. This paper examines the event-triggered consensus of the multi-agent system on matrix-weighted networks, where the interdependencies among higher-dimensional states of neighboring agents are characterized by matrix-weighted edges in the network. Specifically, a novel distributed dynamic event-triggered coordination strategy is proposed for this category of generalized networks, in which an auxiliary system is employed for each agent to dynamically adjust the triggering threshold, which plays an essential role in guaranteeing that the triggering time sequence does not exhibit Zeno behavior. Distributed event-triggered control protocols are proposed to guarantee leaderless consensus for multi-agent systems on matrix-weighted networks, respectively. Remarkably, the spectrum of matrix-valued weights is crucial in event-triggered mechanism design for matrix-weighted networks, generalizing those results only applicable for scalar-weighted networks. The proposed approach allows each agent to broadcast and receive information only at its triggering instants. Finally, simulation examples are provided to demonstrate the theoretical results. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

In this paper, a multi-kernel principal component analysis (MKPCA) method for quality-related fault detection is proposed. The initial space is firstly mapped to a new space. The correlated information between the new space and output quality is then obtained by the kernel function. Meanwhile, with consideration of the advantage of global function and local function, a weight factor which combines them together is introduced to construct a multi-kernel function. In this way, the algorithm achieves better learning ability. The new space is projected to two mutually orthogonal subspaces, i.e., quality-related part and quality-unrelated part. In each subspace, fault information is expressed by different statistical indicators. The numerical example is presented to evaluate the performance of the MKPCA. The results show better reliability and high fault detection rate through proper spatial decomposition and kernel function construction. © 2022 IEEE.

Toward carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals in China, a transition from traditional fossil power to renewable energy becomes an imperative need. This paper aims to address the planning problem of a highly renewable-energy penetrated energy hub system, coupled with carbon capture facilities and downstream production processes of hydrogen and methanol, under the uncertainty of renewable power output. To this end, we propose a two-stage distributionally robust optimal planning model, where investment decisions are the first-stage variables and operation variables are determined at the second stage after the realization of uncertainty. In the proposed model, we utilize historical data samples to construct a strengthened ambiguity set that leverages both Wasserstein distance and moment information for a better characterization of renewable generation uncertainty. Moreover, to efficiently solve the proposed planning problem, we develop a simplified affine decision rule method in a general setting with both moment and Wasserstein ambiguity, and then apply it to reformulate the distributionally robust planning problem. The derived reformulation possesses the favorable property that its scale is free from the sample size, thus greatly reducing the computational complexity. Computational results validate the effectiveness of the proposed planning model and the computational efficiency of the solution methodology. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.
