Recently,researchers have shown increasing interest in combining more than one programming model into systems running on high performance computing systems(HPCs)to achieve exascale by applying parallelism at multiple *** different programming paradigms,such as Message Passing Interface(MPI),Open Multiple Processing(OpenMP),and Open Accelerators(OpenACC),can increase computation speed and improve *** the integration of multiple models,the probability of runtime errors increases,making their detection difficult,especially in the absence of testing techniques that can detect these *** studies have been conducted to identify these errors,but no technique exists for detecting errors in three-level programming *** the increasing research that integrates the three programming models,MPI,OpenMP,and OpenACC,a testing technology to detect runtime errors,such as deadlocks and race conditions,which can arise from this integration has not been ***,this paper begins with a definition and explanation of runtime errors that result fromintegrating the three programming models that compilers cannot *** the first time,this paper presents a classification of operational errors that can result from the integration of the three *** paper also proposes a parallel hybrid testing technique for detecting runtime errors in systems built in the C++programming language that uses the triple programming models MPI,OpenMP,and *** hybrid technology combines static technology and dynamic technology,given that some errors can be detected using static techniques,whereas others can be detected using dynamic *** hybrid technique can detect more errors because it combines two distinct *** proposed static technology detects a wide range of error types in less time,whereas a portion of the potential errors that may or may not occur depending on the 4502 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 operating environme

Medical image segmentation is a challenging task especially when dealing with unlabeled data. It has been proven that the use of complementary information for co-training is effective for medical image segmentation. We find that high-confidence regions are easy to segment, but low-confidence regions are difficult to correctly segment, which results in poor segmentation performance. Therefore, accurate segmentation in low-confidence regions is the effective way to enhance the performance of medical image segmentation. To achieve this goal, we propose a novel co-training strategy named low-confidence heterogeneous pixel-prototype contrastive learning with uncertainty-guide cross supervision for semi-supervised medical image segmentation. Specifically, an uncertainty-guided cross supervision module is firstly designed to estimate the confidence score of predictions from multiple outputs and then perform cross supervision between high-confidence regions. Moreover, we design a low-confidence heterogeneous prototype contrastive learning, which builds the relationship between low-confidence pixel and heterogeneous prototype to mine discriminative information in low-confidence regions so as to improve the segmentation performance. Extensive experiments on medical image datasets demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art methods in segmentation results. © 2024 IEEE.

Human microchip implants are small devices that are implanted into the body for various purposes including storing and transmitting information, monitoring health or location, and providing access to facilities or systems. Although human microchip implants offer numerous advantages, their adoption remains low in the public sector. This article presents a comprehensive survey on the emerging trend of human microchip implants and their potential uses in various fields. In addition to introducing the general concept of microchip implants, the work discusses their current and potential future applications. To better understand the direction of this trend, recent case studies of existing applications of human microchip implants are analyzed and presented. The article also explores the barriers to the adoption of human microchip implants and discusses their potential impact on humans, whether positive or negative. © 2023 IEEE.

To address the issue of sensitivity to external interference and noise in traditional moving object recognition and tracking algorithms, this paper proposes a novel algorithm that combines Image Fusion-based Frame Difference (IFD) with Differential Translation Transformation (DTT). Firstly, image enhancement and noise reduction are applied to adjust contrast and brightness in the images of moving objects. Subsequently, the IFD algorithm is employed to adjust the blending of new frame with the background, smoothly fusing them. Pixel differences between the fusion frame and the background are calculated to identify moving objects in the image. Matching is performed between the target areas obtained by the IFD algorithm based on pixel displacement differences between consecutive frames and the target displacements obtained by the DTT algorithm. This allows for recognition and tracking of the targets. To validate the effectiveness of the algorithm, experiments are conducted on two sets of moving-object image data, resulting in accuracies of 90.12% and 90.87%. © 2024 IEEE.

Patient medical information in all forms is crucial to keep private and secure,particularly when medical data communication occurs through insecure ***,there is a bad need for protecting and securing the color medical images against impostors and *** this paper,an optical medical image security approach is *** is based on the optical bit-plane Jigsaw Transform(JT)and Fractional Fourier Transform(FFT).Different kernels with a lone lens and a single arbitrary phase code are exploited in this security approach.A preceding bit-plane scrambling process is conducted on the input color medical images prior to the JT and FFT processes to accomplish a tremendous level of robustness and *** confirm the efficiency of the suggested security approach for secure color medical image communication,various assessments on different color medical images are examined based on different statistical security ***,a comparative analysis is introduced between the suggested security approach and other conventional cryptography *** simulation outcomes acquired for performance assessment demonstrate that the suggested security approach is highly *** has excellent encryption/decryption performance and superior security results compared to conventional cryptography approaches with achieving recommended values of average entropy and correlation coefficient of 7.63 and 0.0103 for encrypted images.

This paper presents an extensive empirical study aiming to identify the optimal combination of feature extraction techniques and machine learning algorithms, including deep learning, for automated mispronunciation detection during Quran recitation. Three feature extraction methods-Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), Spectrogram, and Kaldi pitch - are systematically evaluated in conjunction with a diverse set of classifiers, including Gradient Boosting (GB), Support Vector Machines (SVM), Logistic Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks. The study leverages the QDAT dataset, comprising 1500 audio samples from 150 readers, with metadata specifying age, gender, and three distinct rules for mispronunciation detection. Experimental results demonstrate that the integration of MFCC with deep learning classifiers consistently achieves the highest performance across multiple evaluation metrics. Model robustness is validated using receiver operator characteristic curves (ROC) and accuracy metrics. © 2024 IEEE.

Next-Generation Crowdsensing Networks (NGCNs) have become increasingly critical for smart cities, where data privacy and quality are pivotal concerns. Traditional trust mechanisms in crowdsensing mainly rely on static trust models, which are insufficient for dynamic security requirements. Zero-Trust security represents a promising opportunity, yet coming with notable challenges in NGCNs, including Unknown Workers Online Recruitment (UWOR), Information Elicitation Without Verification (IEWV), Privacy Preserving Data Evaluation (PPDE), and Dynamic Trust Abrupt Shift (DTAS). To address these challenges, we propose a Credibility-aware and Privacy-preserving Data collection scheme with Zero-trust (CPDZ) for secure and quality data collection in NGCNs. First, our CPDZ scheme encompasses a quality worker recruitment strategy with combinatorial multi-armed bandit models, utilizing Thompson Sampling for the secure and efficient resolution of the UWOR. Second, an active dispatching scheme for unmanned aerial vehicles is crafted to collect data as a gold standard to assist in overcoming the IEWV challenge. Third, as for the PPDE challenge, we propose a lightweight privacy-preserving scheme for dependable truth discovery and secure trust verification. Fourth, the DTAS challenge is managed by a dual verification scheme that integrates short-term and long-term trust assessments, ensuring stability and adaptability of the zero-trust security in our CPDZ scheme. Experiments confirm the superiority of our CPDZ scheme, showing a 12.5% increase in recruitment revenue and a 57.8% reduction in relative error compared to existing approaches. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

We propose a deep Q-network (DQN)-based user scheduling scheme aimed at low network-wide age of information (AoI) in a non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) uplink status update system. In our system, end users can harvest energy from wireless signals received on the radio-frequency band to extend the lifespan of their batteries. Given the battery replacement cost in many practical scenarios, our objective is to design a scheduling scheme to maintain a low AoI while efficiently utilizing energy harvesting and reducing the number of battery replacements. Considering the instantaneous AoI, remaining energy, and channel condition of end users, we model the user scheduling problem as a Markov decision process (MDP), which is solved by DQN. In particular, the choice of transmission power to save energy while enabling a high NOMA decoding rate is incorporated in the design of DQN. Experiments indicate that our DQN-based scheduling scheme achieves a low average AoI of the system with significantly fewer battery replacements compared to various benchmarking schemes. © 2024 IEEE.

Human biometric analysis has gotten much attention due to itswidespread use in different research areas, such as security, surveillance,health, human identification, and classification. Human gait is one of the keyhuman traits that can identify and classify humans based on their age, gender,and ethnicity. Different approaches have been proposed for the estimation ofhuman age based on gait so far. However, challenges are there, for which anefficient, low-cost technique or algorithm is needed. In this paper, we proposea three-dimensional real-time gait-based age detection system using a machinelearning approach. The proposed system consists of training and testingphases. The proposed training phase consists of gait features extraction usingthe Microsoft Kinect (MS Kinect) controller, dataset generation based onjoints’ position, pre-processing of gait features, feature selection by calculatingthe Standard error and Standard deviation of the arithmetic mean and bestmodel selection using R2 and adjusted R2 techniques. T-test and ANOVAtechniques show that nine joints (right shoulder, right elbow, right hand, leftknee, right knee, right ankle, left ankle, left, and right foot) are statisticallysignificant at a 5% level of significance for age estimation. The proposedtesting phase correctly predicts the age of a walking person using the resultsobtained from the training phase. The proposed approach is evaluated on thedata that is experimentally recorded from the user in a real-time *** (50) volunteers of different ages participated in the experimental *** the limited features, the proposed method estimates the age with 98.0%accuracy on experimental images acquired in real-time via a classical generallinear regression model.

Handwritten character recognition systems are used in every field of life nowadays,including shopping malls,banks,educational institutes,*** is the national language of Pakistan,and it is the fourth spoken language in the ***,it is still challenging to recognize Urdu handwritten characters owing to their cursive *** paper presents a Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)model to recognize Urdu handwritten alphabet recognition(UHAR)offline and online *** research contributes an Urdu handwritten dataset(aka UHDS)to empower future works in this *** offline systems,optical readers are used for extracting the alphabets,while diagonal-based extraction methods are implemented in online ***,our research tackled the issue concerning the lack of comprehensive and standard Urdu alphabet datasets to empower research activities in the area of Urdu text *** this end,we collected 1000 handwritten samples for each alphabet and a total of 38000 samples from 12 to 25 age groups to train our CNN model using online and offline ***,we carried out detailed experiments for character recognition,as detailed in the *** proposed CNN model outperformed as compared to previously published approaches.
