The studies in this research are focused on the mix of homomorphic encryption mechanisms and the Cuckoo Search Optimization Algorithm to promote the security of the healthcare data in the cloud computing system. I have observed that cloud solutions are now at the center of the contemporary health care systems, and security of patient's data remains a top priority. Earlier used encryption techniques, though secure if implemented, have problems in the way that data is to be processed first it has to be decrypted and then made ready for use - it is in this phase that data can be easily hacked into. Homomorphic encryption provides solution to this issue since it enables one to perform computations on encrypted data while maintaining its confidentiality. However, it takes a lot of computation which presents a lot of problems even in terms of simple performance. The Cuckoo Search Algorithm, a new nature-inspired metaheuristic, is incorporated into the encryption process to provide further optimization, whilst preserving the security benefits of the algorithm. The use of the proposed methodology takes place employing Python and its deployment at the cloud platform with elaborated dataset containing anonymized records extracted from electronic health records. The outcome proves that there are great enhancements in encryption and decryption time, computational complexity, and capacity, and thereby making the system appropriate for real-world healthcare solutions. This research offers a strong base for protection of healthcare data in cloud and is useful for the enhancement of adaptive, comprehensive and secure cloud computing systems. © 2024 IEEE.

This research aims to explore the use of modern complex defensive machine learning algorithms in the provision of predictive analytics for health improvement. Incorporating electronic health records, medical image information, and genomic data the work proposes and assesses multiple machine learning models including deep learning, ensemble learning, and reinforcement learning. The main findings shown very high performance in disease prediction, in chronic illness and in the application of efficiency improvements in hospitals as a whole. Overall, such threats as data quality, data privacy, and model interpretability have been discussed in the research and emphasize the importance of the machine learning approach in healthcare. It is highlighted that further development and integration of the interdisciplinary approaches as well as the use of the transparent and interpretable artificial intelligence and machine learning models can be urgent to increase the acceptance among the healthcare staff. This paper enhances the literature on applying machine learning in healthcare systems adding to the repertoire of knowledge for improved patient care. © 2024 IEEE.

Drug-Drug Interaction (DDI) task plays a crucial role in clinical treatment and drug development. Recently, deep learning methods have been successfully applied for DDI prediction. However, training deep learning models always need large amount of data, while known DDIs are scarce. To address this challenge, a graph neural network-based DDI prediction model named PNESR-DDI is proposed, which compensates for the lack of DDIs by enriching drug representations. First, to obtain initial node representations that incorporate rich semantic information from the biomedical knowledge graph (KG), a link prediction pre-training method on external KG is proposed in the node embedding pre-training module. Then, considering the large scale of the KG, subgraph extraction for the target drug pairs is introduced to reduce noise and decrease computational complexity in the subgraph anchoring module. After that, the subgraph is updated, and node similarities are propagated in the subgraph reconstruction module. Based on the node similarity scores, the subgraph is pruned and reconstructed, which adjusts node representations to be more conducive to DDI prediction. Finally, the drug embeddings, subgraph representations, and drug fingerprint features are concatenated to predict DDIs. PNESRDDI is evaluated on two benchmark DDI datasets: DrugBank and TWOSIDES. Experiment results show that PNESR-DDI achieves better performance than baselines. Ablation results validate the effectiveness of the pre-training method and the adaptive subgraph reconstruction strategy. © 2024 IEEE.

Out-of-distribution (OOD) detection is a crucial task for deploying deep learning models in the wild. One of the major challenges is that well-trained deep models tend to perform over-confidence on unseen test data. Recent research attempts to leverage real or synthetic outliers to mitigate the issue, which may significantly increase computational costs and be biased toward specific outlier characteristics. In this paper, we propose a simple yet effective framework, Prototypical Outlier Proxy (POP), which introduces virtual OOD prototypes to reshape the decision boundaries between ID and OOD data. Specifically, we transform the learnable classifier into a fixed one and augment it with a set of prototypical weight vectors. Then, we introduce a hierarchical similarity boundary loss to impose adaptive penalties depending on the degree of misclassification. Extensive experiments across various benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of POP. Notably, POP achieves average FPR95 reductions of 7.70%, 6.30%, and 5.42% over the second-best methods on CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100, and ImageNet-200, respectively. Moreover, compared to the recent method NPOS, which relies on outlier synthesis, POP trains 7.2 times faster and performs inference 19.5 times faster. The immune system plays a crucial role in defending the body against diseases, making it vital to develop models that can accurately predict immune system strength. This study presents an Enhanced Deep Learning Strategy (EDLS) designed to predict immune system strength based on immune-related biomarkers such as White Blood Cell (WBC) count and Immunoglobulins. A dataset consisting of 23,654 records with 12 features was collected from clinical sources. The data underwent comprehensive preprocessing, including noise reduction using a Median Filter, feature selection with Random Forest, and data fusion using Kalman Filters. The EDLS model integrates AutoEncoder for dimensionality reduction and Cascaded Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) for capturing temporal dependencies. The proposed model outperforms nine traditional and advanced machine learning models, including Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), with an accuracy of 94.72%. Evaluation metrics such as Precision (92.01%), Recall (93.77%), and F1-Score (92.88%) highlight the model's effectiveness in predicting immune system strength. Feature importance analysis reveals that WBC count and Immunoglobulins are the most influential predictors. This study demonstrates the potential of EDLS for enhancing immune strength prediction, which can have significant implications for personalized healthcare and disease prevention. © 2024 IEEE.

The research is aimed at improvement of multi-spectral image analysis for remote sensing and monitoring the environment at various ecosystems. A combined spectral imagery encompasses several spectrums at a time compared to single spectral imagery that takes only one spectrum at an instance or at a given area to cover all these spectrums. The study employs digital high resolution satellite images and ground based data to quantify the vegetation vigour, water quality, soil characteristics and changes in land cover. Features, indexes, and classification routines are employed to process the data that is collected with the aid of avionics and other peripherals. This provincial level modelling highlights important gains in environmental status, which includes the general improvement in vegetation condition, water quality as well as physical properties of the soil in the province. This study focuses on the complementary possibilities of integration of multi-spectral imaging with other remote sensing technologies and the high performance of data processing. These techniques play significant roles if used to give current and comprehensive information in the management and conservation of the environment as highlighted in the study. © 2024 IEEE.

Multi-view discriminant analysis method (MvDA) is an effective supervised multi-view learning method. However, in practical multi-view learning application scenarios, there may be the problem that the sample label information from some viewpoints is unreliable. In the MvDA method, the information of all views is considered to have equal reliability. The data information in views containing unreliable label information may make it difficult for MvDA to learn accurate common features among data from different views. Therefore, in this paper, a weighted consistent multi-view discriminant analysis (WMvDA-VC) is proposed for the multi-view learning task in unreliable labeling environment. By considering the data characteristics under different views, the information from different views is assigned different reliability weights. Using the weighted scatter matrices, multiple projection matrices are learned. Then the data from different views are projected into the same common projection space. In the common subspace, dissimilar samples in different views are dispersed as much as possible and similar samples are aggregated as much as possible. The impact of data from views containing unreliable labels on the multi-view learning performance is reduced by adjusting the weights of the views with unreliable labels. The method is experimented on four widely used datasets. The experimental results show that the proposed WMvDA-VC exhibits excellent performance in the classification recognition task with unreliably labeled environment. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

Consistent Discriminant Correlation Analysis (CDCA) is an effective algorithm for dual-view learning. However, the importance of information from different samples and features may vary. In CDCA, the sample features from both views are equally weighted during training, which may not fully utilize the information contained in certain sample features. This can negatively impact the decision-making and predictive capabilities of the model. Additionally, CDCA is only applicable to dual-view data and cannot effectively utilize multi-view data. To address these issues, this paper extends CDCA to multi-view scenarios and proposes Consistent Discriminant Correlation Analysis with Weight Correction (CDCA-WC). The feature weighting approach used in this paper involves calculating the average weight of each feature using the ReliefF algorithm. The sample weighting method employed is based on a weighted loss function, where a larger weight indicates a stronger classification ability for the corresponding feature or sample. During the training process, CDCA-WC is used to obtain the feature subspace mappings for the training samples from multiple views. The data’s feature and sample dimensions are then adjusted based on their respective weights, and the adjusted data is used for a second round of training. During testing, the similarity between samples is measured using a KNN classifier. Experimental results on three publicly available face recognition datasets demonstrate that CDCA-WC can effectively improve the accuracy of low-resolution face image recognition. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.
