Charity giving is a fundamental aspect of society, but there are concerns about the accountability and transparency of the donation process. Blockchain technology has emerged as a potential solution, offering a secure and auditable platform for managing charitable contributions. In this paper, we explore the concept of empowering donors through blockchain technology and examine how it can help ensure that contributions reach the right recipients. We review existing literature on the topic and identify key areas for future research, including the development of hybrid blockchain solutions along with the implementation of novel consensus mechanisms. Moreover, providing the idea of decentralized autonomous organizations, self-executing smart contracts, and integration of blockchain with artificial intelligence and Internet of things. By providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of the field and outlining a roadmap for future research, we hope to stimulate further exploration of the potential of blockchain technology to revolutionize charity giving, and create a more accountable and transparent system for managing charitable funds. Some research questions are designed for each novel idea. Our analysis suggests that blockchain has the potential to empower donors and ensure that their contributions make a positive impact in the world, but further research is needed to fully realize its potential. © 2023 IEEE.

Smartphones offer a wide range of applications globally, and usability is a key factor in their quality. Human-computer Interaction (HCI) continuously evolves to enhance usability by improving user interface (UI) components. However, most UI trends are designed for literate users, neglecting a significant portion of the population who cannot read or write. These users often rely on others for assistance with smartphone applications, and text-based UIs hinder their learning and usage, reducing overall usability. This research addresses the limitations of text-based standards by introducing a standardized framework for developing text-free user interfaces for smartphones. The framework utilizes static and dynamic images instead of text to convey widget or button functions, aiming to enhance usability for illiterate users, including preschoolers. Developed with Obeo Designer and Sirius, the framework's Platform Independent Metamodel (PIM) was validated through case studies representing the target user groups. Future work involves Model to Text (M2T) transformation, and results show the framework's potential for automating applications with text-free UIs.

As a special type of Knowledge Graph (KG), Continual Knowledge Graph Learning (CKGL) plays a pivotal role in various areas such as recommendation systems, search engines, and personalized services, where knowledge dynamically evolves. A challenging problem in CKGL is catastrophic forgetting, where models forget previously learned knowledge upon being trained on new data. To overcome the challenge, this study proposes Flexible Memory Rotation (FMR), a dual-level regularization technique that focuses on both parameter level and structural level. Our idea is inspired by the natural human learning process, which tends to memorize correctly learned knowledge, leverage the learned to acquire new knowledge, and refine incorrectly learned knowledge with newly obtained information. Commonly, existing regularization-based methods fail to mimic this human nature by having a fixed constraint strategy for all model parameters. To this end, the proposed FMR offers flexible constraints based on qualities of learned knowledge evaluated by the Fisher Information Matrix (FIM). Additionally, we identified a limitation of FIM in CKGL, which is the assumption of independence of time steps does not always hold. To overcome this, FMR rotates the parameter space to diagonalize the FIM. This work has four major contributions: 1) develop a novel regularization technique, FMR, a flexible regularization technique, 2) reveal the unexpected failure of FIM in CKGL and provides an easy remedy via parameter space rotation, 3) the comparison experiments on four benchmark datasets designed for CKGL demonstrates improvement over various state-of-the-art (SOTA) CKGL models, and 4) a comprehensive ablation study investigates each component of the proposed model. Due to over-abundant information on the Web, information filtering becomes a key task for online users to obtain relevant suggestions and how to extract the most related item is always a key topic for researchers in various fields. In this paper, we adopt tools used to analyze complex networks to evaluate user reputation and item quality. In our proposed Accumulative Time Based Ranking (ATR) algorithm, we take into account the growth record of the network to identify the evolution of the reputation of users and the quality of items, by incorporating two behavior weighting factors which can capture the hidden facts on reputation and quality dynamics for each user and item respectively. Our proposed ATR algorithm mainly combines the iterative approach to rank user reputation and item quality with temporal dependence compared with other reputation evaluation methods. We show that our algorithm outperforms other benchmark ranking algorithms in terms of precision and robustness on empirical datasets from various online retailers and the citation datasets among research publications. Therefore, our proposed method has the capability to effectively evaluate user reputation and item quality.

The quick advancement of healthcare systems necessitates robust and efficient network security keys to defend sensitive patient records and guarantee uninterrupted service delivery. The current IDS has many challenges, such as a high false positive rate, poor accuracy of detection, slow response to threats, and inability to scale well. This paper proposes an efficient and real-time intrusion detection system (IDS) using advanced machine learning techniques within a software-defined networking (SDN) framework specifically tailored for healthcare systems. The proposed architecture implements a Machine Learning (ML) model that combines the SVM and KNN to better identify malicious activities. Full sets of detection and mitigation capabilities are implemented to address different types of traffic in the network with the least interference. Through the different evaluation measures, the efficiency of the proposed model is assured. Network performance is determined by success rate queries, packet losses in each domain path, and the CPU being used by the system. Responsiveness is measured through delay metrics grounded on end-to-end delay, hop-to-hop packet delay, latency rate, and propagation delay. Moreover, model accuracy fidelity is reviewed via precision assessment, alpha (α) affecting the accuracy of the model, and confusion matrix with different techniques with the proposed hybrid SVM-KNN model. Last of all, a comparison of the security of the models in question strengthens the argument in favor of the proposed model. More specifically, flow and network topology diagrams are included to show how integration may be accomplished in linkage or merger with existing healthcare networks. The results also present a 30% overall advancement in detection and mitigation by presenting the hybrid SVM-KNN model to overcome other traditional models. Healthcare organisations are being overwhelmed by data, devices and apps, and disjointed multiple cloud services. Well-heeled multicloud can provide a unified cloud model that provides greater control and scalability at reduced costs. Healthcare multicloud is turning into an appealing path for associations to manage the blast of advanced healthcare information in digital health, internet of things, associated gadgets and healthcare applications. As more human services associations grasp distributed computing, they are progressively going to a blend of open, private, and hybrid cloud administrations and foundation. In fact most of the healthcare service organisations plan to utilise different cloud vendors over the upcoming years. While having multiple cloud vendors can give organisations more flexibility and redundancy, managing multiple clouds can be a challenge. Early plant disease diagnosis can help farmers avoid spending money on costly crop pesticides and aid them to boost food production. Scientists have put a lot of effort to classify plant diseases, but it is difficult to quickly locate and identify different crop abnormalities due to the high degree of resemblance between the normal and damaged parts of plant leaves. Additionally, the procedure of detecting plant diseases has been made more challenging due to the extensive color, size, shape, and intensity variations in the background and foreground of the plant images. To address the existing difficulties, we have introduced an effective deep learning (DL) based system called Faster-RCNN o recognize and classify various types of plant diseases. The suggested method consists of 3 basic steps. In order to identify the area of interest in investigated samples, we first create annotations for them which are later used for Faster-RCNN training. The Faster-RCNN model employs the VGG-19 network to extract the relevant keypoints from the given images which are later passed to the regressor and classification units to identify and categorize the various crop diseases using the estimated features. We evaluated our method on a widely used standard plant sample repository called the PlantVillage database, and the findings show that our approach is reliable for classifying plant diseases under a variety of image-capturing scenarios. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This paper outlines the design and implementation of a solar microgrid-specific high-gain DC-DC booster converter that makes use of a variable inductor and capacitors. To improve the suitability of photovoltaic (PV) panels for incorporation into microgrids, the proposed converter efficiently increases their low-voltage outputs. Conventional boost converters can't offer that kind of voltage increase because they lose too much performance and put too much strain on their internal components. The converter increases the voltage gain dramatically while maintaining a high degree of efficiency thanks to a switching inductor-capacitor network. The main breakthrough is an inventive multi-stage energy transfer and storage device that cleverly employs a switching inductor and capacitor. This configuration increases the output voltage while decreasing the voltage and current ripples, which in turn reduces the amount of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and increases the life of the components. Thorough assessments of the converter's working via theoretical modeling and simulation studies confirm its performance across several load and input situations common to solar microgrids. The prototype's testing findings show a significant voltage increase and a peak efficiency of over 95% when compared to traditional boost converters. Moreover, the converter's reliable performance over a wide range of voltage sources and workload scenarios proves its suitability for practical solar applications. As a result, the proposed high-gain boost converter will greatly improve the efficiency and reliability of solar microgrids, leading to a rise in the use of renewable energy sources in DGS. © 2025 IEEE.

Privacy-preserving and secure data sharing are critical for medical image analysis while maintaining accuracy and minimizing computational overhead are also crucial. Applying existing deep neural networks (DNNs) to encrypted medical data is not always easy and often compromises performance and security. To address these limitations, this research introduces a secure framework consisting of a learnable encryption method based on block-pixel operation to encrypt the data and subsequently integrate it with the Vision Transformer (ViT). The proposed framework ensures data privacy and security by creating unique scrambling patterns per key, providing robust performance against leading bit attacks and minimum difference attacks.

The significant growth of Wind Power (WP) has significant challenges due to the inconsistency and uncertainty of Wind Power Generation (WPG) to ensure the power system. Solar energy and WP calculation are great ways to overcome the problem. Mainly voltage and frequency fluctuations and harmonics have a high impact on the power generation and distribution system;in any high case, the power quality of grid systems is reduced. This can be primarily solved with proper design, advanced rapid response control facilities and optimization of power systems. A new type of Multi-term Wind Energy (WE) with an IEEE 30 bus forecasting system based on digital weather forecasting and error modification methods is presented. From the Evolutionary Energy- Preserve Rate Clustering (EEPRC) Technique-based technique for the evaluates the probability ratio in Solar and wind error energy prediction, the error assessment model is proposed, which has the advantage of estimating from real wind farms and statistical Weather Forecast (WF) data and has proven to be a nominal method for improving the predictive accuracy of Multi-term WPG. The primary step of the Energy-Preserve Rate Clustering (EPRC) method is to calculate the uncertainty of real-time data with the predicted value. The computed values are helpful for the increases in Solar WPG production. The proposed wind forecasting system is utilized in the Coastal area-based energy generation. Also, it has been demonstrated that wind speed and WPG with its probability ratio have been evaluated with the EEPRC-based forecasting method, especially for its powerful predictive capability for the complex properties of the controller function. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
