Model-based testing is a substantial approach that is based on and involving models. It is well known for achieving test coverage and for generating and executing test cases automatically. The main and core activity of model-based testing is the modelling activity. Models are used to explain and represent the behaviour of the product. The requirement will be translated into models and those models will be used in generating the test cases automatically in model-based testing. The modelling activity clarifies test requirement and contribute to automatic generation and execution of large test suites with tool support. Model-based testing provides numerous advantages in testing;mainly on achieving appropriate test coverage and reduce manual effort and time spent since it can execute the test cases automatically. Despite all the benefit it can provide, there are some drawbacks too. However, the challenges faced can overcome by implementing proper test modelling activity and by adopting a well-versed test management activity. Thus, in this paper, we have studied the existing testing process, the taxonomy of model-based testing and model-based testing steps and proposed an extensive lifecycle for model-based testing with detail activities and steps to be carried out in order to test and validate access control requirement for multi-tenant application. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Recent breakthroughs in the internet of Issues (IoT), computing through the cloud, and the use of AI have changed the standard healthcare system, making a case for smart health care. By combining key technologies including IoT and AI, there is a major improvement in medical services. The merging of IoT and AI offers multiple possibilities within the healthcare industry. This study piece presents a new artificial intelligence- and internet of things convergence-based framework for disease detection in smart health care systems, emphasizing especially on cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. The suggested model includes separate steps, including data collection, preparation, classification, and parameter modification. Utilizing Internet of Things devices like smartwatches along with sensors enables smooth collection of information, while AI methods harness this data for the detection of illnesses. The technique presents a new approach, applying to the Crowd Search Optimizer algorithm-based Flowed Long and Short-Term Memory (CSO-CLSTM) approach to disease detection. CSO is applied to improve both 'weights' while 'bias' factors of the CLSTM framework, while the isolation Fg (iForest) method is implemented to remove outliers. Through testing with health care information, the CSO-LSTM model got excellent accuracy ratings of 96.16% when 97.26% in identifying heart disease while diabetes, respectively. Consequently, the suggested CSO-LSTM model appears as a solid and reliable method of disease evaluation in digital healthcare systems, showing its potential for broad application. © 2024 IEEE.

Low voltage motors are essential in many applications in contemporary industrial settings, as they power machines and guarantee efficient operations. However, these motors often operate in harsh environments where they are exposed to factors such as extreme temperatures, moisture, dust, and vibrations, which can lead to premature wear and failure. This paper proposes a hybrid method for low voltage motor condition monitoring in challenging industrial environments. The proposed method is the combined execution of Ladybug Beetle Optimization algorithm (LBOA) and Heterogeneous Context-Aware Graph Convolutional Network (HCAGCN). Hence it is named as LBOA-HCAGCN technique. Initially, the input data is collected from Triboelectric vibration sensors. Then, the collected data is fed into preprocessing utilizing Generalized Multi-kernel Maximum Correntropy Kalman Filter (GMKMCKF). This filter normalizes and cleans the data by effectively removing noise. Recursive Hilbert Transform (RHT) is used to extract time domain features such as mean, Root Mean Square (RMS), Peak-to-Peak Value, Skewness, and Kurtosis. Then the extracted features are given to HCAGCN for classify the motor health conditions such as normal, broken-bar, bowed-bar, bowed-rotor, faulty bearing, and voltage imbalance. In general, HCAGCN does not express adapting optimization strategies to determine optimal parameters to classify motor conditions. Hence, the LBOA is used to optimize the weight parameter of the HCAGCN which accurately classify motor conditions. The proposed LBOA-HCAGCN is implemented in MATLAB. Performance indicators such as Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Precision, and Accuracy were used to analyze the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Comparing the proposed LBOA-HCAGCN methodology to other existing techniques like Deep Residual Neural Network (DRNN), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), and Recursive Neural Network (RNN), it achieves 25.8%, 26.4%, and 24.7% greater accuracy, 26.7%, 29.4%, and

Recently, deep learning has achieved state-of-the-art performance for many fields e.g., image classification, action recognition, natural language processing, speech recognition, etc. For the speech separation issue, conventional networks directly optimize sources or masks while deep clustering learns embedding matrix training during and clusters an embedding matrix testing during. Deep clustering has obtained some outstanding results in time frequency domain speech separation. Conventional networks have an end-to-end training to take advantage directly signal approximation. The properties and strengths of the traditional networks and deep clustering are combined to improve performances. In this study, we have proposed a multi-learning method by combining a deep clustering and one conventional network. The experiment was conducted on the TIMIT dataset—one of the most standard datasets for speech separation and the results have shown that this method outperforms the component network and state-of-the-art methods recently proposed in terms of common metrics like SDR, SIR, and SAR. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Psychological disorders, such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, stress, depression, and schizophrenia, are increasingly prevalent worldwide. Among these conditions, depression is particularly notable as one of the most common and debilitating neuropsychiatric disorders. Individuals with depression may be at a higher risk of developing oronary Artery Disease (CAD). Depression can contribute to poor lifestyle choices, such as unhealthy eating, lack of exercise, and smoking, which are risk factors for CAD. The emotional stress and anxiety associated with depression can strain the heart and exacerbate CAD symptoms. The relationship is not one-sided. CAD itself can be a significant source of emotional distress, leading to symptoms of depression and anxiety in affected individuals. Managing both conditions in tandem can be complicated. Treating CAD may involve medications, lifestyle modifications, and potentially surgical interventions. Meanwhile, depression often requires therapy, counseling, and medication. Coordinating care and addressing both conditions simultaneously is crucial. In our study, we investigated the molecular connections between CAD and Depression using GSE98793 and GSE20681 microarray datasets. After preprocessing, we identified key hub genes, including CCT2, SVIL, REPS2, ASPH, and UBC, in the shared ProteinProtein Interaction network. KEGG pathways linked these DEGs to colorectal and cancer pathways. Our next steps involve exploring microRNAs, TFs, and GO analysis. These findings offer promising leads for potential therapies, uniting CAD and Depression under a common molecular framework, advancing our understanding of these conditions.

The field of computational bioinformatics and systems biology analysis is rapidly expanding due to advancements in bioinformatics tools. Bipolar disorder (BD) is a severe psychiatric condition affecting both adults and adolescents. In recent years, the risk of stroke has increased among individuals with BD. Background studies indicate that BD and stroke share numerous biochemical and genetic characteristics. Due to traditional endocrinological approaches, no collaborative research exists, and no treatment options have been established for BD and stroke patients. The aim of this study is to identify common molecular pathways and potential therapeutic targets in BD and stroke that could be utilized to predict disease progression. To achieve this, shared genes were identified to determine common pathways. Based on the biochemical, molecular, and genetic interactions among these shared genes, this study identifies the most significant hub genes. To further explore these interactions, analysis such as the protein–protein interaction (PPI) network, topological properties, enrichment analysis, co-expression network, gene regulatory network (GRN), and physical interaction network are conducted. The GO annotation indicates that most of the genes are linked to MAP kinase activity and tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily binding. The KEGG pathway analysis revealed that the predominant genes are associated with apoptosis and the IL-18 signaling pathway. This comparison helps understand the biochemical and genetic characteristics shared between BD and stroke. Predictive drug analysis has identified consistent potential biomarkers associated with both conditions, providing a scientific foundation for investigating their diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. Finally, chemical experiments could be conducted to further validate the efficacy of these drugs.

The Learning Disability Assessment system (LeDAS) entails crucial decision making to produce a diagnosis referring to the information inserted by the therapists and parents. In this manner, accuracy of the information system is a pivot to generate an effective system. Research evaluation of LeDAS is necessary due to the fact that it is a recently developed system with over 3,000 patients currently using it thus it is imperative to evaluate the system to measure its usability. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the usability of the developed LeDAS web-based system in order to ensure the system can fulfill the user's satisfaction and be usable. The conducted survey targets therapists and parents to collect data. The data produced from this study will be used to provide insight into the need of furthering proficiency in generating a satisfactory system. This evaluation analyzed using the descriptive statistic, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), reliability testing and hypothesis testing. The result showed that 5 hypotheses were supported. © 2022 IEEE.

The thyroid gland is the crucial organ in the human body, secreting two hormones that help to regulate the human body’s metabolism. Thyroid disease is a severe medical complaint that could be developed by high Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) levels or an infection in the thyroid tissues. Hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are two critical conditions caused by insufficient thyroid hormone production and excessive thyroid hormone production, respectively. Machine learning models can be used to precisely process the data generated from different medical sectors and to build a model to predict several diseases. In this paper, we use different machine-learning algorithms to predict hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. Moreover, we identified the most significant features, which can be used to detect thyroid diseases more precisely. After completing the pre-processing and feature selection steps, we applied our modified and original data to several classification models to predict thyroidism. We found Random Forest (RF) is giving the maximum evaluation score in all sectors in our dataset, and Naive Bayes is performing very poorly. Moreover selecting the feature by using the feature importance method RF provides the best accuracy of 91.42%, precision of 92%, recall of 92% and F1-score of 92%. Further, by analyzing the characteristics and behavior of the dataset, we identified the most important features (TSH, T3, TT4, and FTI) of the dataset. In terms of accuracy and other performance evaluation criteria, this study could advocate the use of effective classifiers and features backed by machine learning algorithms to detect and diagnose thyroid disease. Finally, we did some explainability analysis of our best classifier to understand the internal black-box of our machine learning model and datasets. This study could further pave the way for the researcher as well as healthcare professionals to analyze thyroid disease in real time applications.
