Food ingredient recognition model via image and textual feature extraction and hybrid classification strategy

This research work focuses on food recognition, especially, the identification of the ingredients from food images. Here, the developed model includes two stages namely: 1) feature extraction;2) classification. Initially, the image features and textual features will be extracted, where image features like SIFT and improved CNN-based deep features, textural features are extracted. Then, the hybrid classifier is used for the identification of food ingredients that combines the models like neural network (NN) as well as long short-term memory (LSTM). In order to make the accurate results, the weights of NN and LSTM are fine-tuned via the Chebyshev map evaluated teamwork optimisation (CME-TWO) algorithm. At the final stage, the primacy of the offered scheme is proven concerning varied metrics. Copyright © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

As the adoption of explainable AI(XAI) continues to expand, the urgency to address its privacy implications intensifies. Despite a growing corpus of research in AI privacy and explainability, there is little attention on privacy-preserving model explanations. This article presents the first thorough survey about privacy attacks on model explanations and their countermeasures. Our contribution to this field comprises a thorough analysis of research papers with a connected taxonomy that facilitates the categorization of privacy attacks and countermeasures based on the targeted explanations. This work also includes an initial investigation into the causes of privacy leaks. Finally, we discuss unresolved issues and prospective research directions uncovered in our analysis. This survey aims to be a valuable resource for the research community and offers clear insights for those new to this domain. To support ongoing research, we have established an online resource repository, which will be continuously updated with new and relevant findings.

Security to text (S2T): multi-layered based security approaches for secret text content

In the digital world, text data is produced in an unstructured manner across various communication channels. Extracting valuable information from such data with security is crucial and requires the development of techniques in text mining, information retrieval, and natural language processing (NLP). To solve this issue, we introduce two novel approaches: keyword extraction (KE) and a multi-layered secret sharing scheme (MLSS) to provide security to extracted keywords rather than overall text documents. The KE approach encompasses a sequence of text pre-processing procedures, including tokenization, stopword removal, stemming, and bag of words representation, followed by indexing. This methodology aims to efficiently extract keywords from text datasets. For this research work, we have proposed three datasets, including text messages, whatsapp messages, and electronic mail. MLSS enhances the security of extracted textual data by leveraging text pre-processing steps. This scheme ensures better confidentiality and the non-revealment of sensitive information. Additionally, we evaluate our KE model on our dataset as well as on standard datasets. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed security to text (S2T) model, which outperform existing state-of-the-art approaches. A Fully LTPS-TFT-Based Bi-Directional Biomedical Interface Circuit for Large-Area Healthcare Applications

This paper proposed a fully LTPS-TFT-based bi-directional biomedical pixel interface with integrated a high linearity stimulator and a high-performance bio-potential sensing front-end circuit to amplify and digitize biological signals for high robustness data transmission. All circuits are designed and manufactured under a 3-μm LTPS process. We demonstrated the experiment in saline using the stimulator circuit to simulate stimulation inside the organism, achieving stimulation with different average currents under different duty cycles. The proposed front-end circuit has a gain of 40 dB. The referred input voltage noise of the entire signal chain is 86.2 μV/√Hz, and the ENOB is 9.13 bits at an input of 0.5 mVPP. Simultaneously conducting statistical testing on 20 chips has achieved a 1.05 dB SNDR standard deviation. Finally, we use a function signal generator to simulate the input signals of ECoG, ECG, and EOG, then use front-end circuits to read and reconstruct them to demonstrate that the proposed pixel interface can correctly read common biomedical signals for healthcare applications. © 2022 IEEE.

Fog computing brings computational services near the network edge to meet the latency constraints of cyber-physical system(CPS)*** devices enable limited computational capacity and energy availability that hamper end user *** designed a novel performance measurement index to gauge a device’s resource *** examination addresses the offloading mechanism issues,where the end user(EU)offloads a part of its workload to a nearby edge server(ES).Sometimes,the ES further offloads the workload to another ES or cloud server to achieve reliable performance because of limited resources(such as storage and computation).The manuscript aims to reduce the service offloading rate by selecting a potential device or server to accomplish a low average latency and service completion time to meet the deadline constraints of sub-divided *** this regard,an adaptive online status predictive model design is significant for prognosticating the asset requirement of arrived services to make float ***,the development of a reinforcement learning-based flexible x-scheduling(RFXS)approach resolves the service offloading issues,where x=service/resource for producing the low latency and high performance of the *** approach to the theoretical bound and computational complexity is derived by formulating the system efficiency.A quadratic restraint mechanism is employed to formulate the service optimization issue according to a set ofmeasurements,as well as the behavioural association rate and adulation *** system managed an average 0.89%of the service offloading rate,with 39 ms of delay over complex scenarios(using three servers with a 50%service arrival rate).The simulation outcomes confirm that the proposed scheme attained a low offloading uncertainty,and is suitable for simulating heterogeneous CPS frameworks.

Poverty is considered a serious global issue that must be immediately eradicated by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, namely ending poverty anywhere and in any form. As a developing country, poverty is a complex issue faced by Indonesia. Tackling poverty in Indonesia has become a key focus of the government’s strategic priorities. This issue of poverty is experienced by all provinces in Indonesia, including Central Java. The poverty rate in Central Java stands at 10.77% or 3.79 million people. The causes of poverty are explained by several factors. Using these various factors, a mapping model can be conducted to determine the number of poor populations in Central Java. This research employs Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) and Mixed Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) approaches to compare the effectiveness of these models in analyzing the number of poor populations in Central Java in 2023. The kernel function weighting used in this study is Fixed Gaussian. The results showed that the MGWR model outperformed both the OLS regression and GWR models, achieving an Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) of 62.766, an R2 of 82.3%, and a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.177. Consequently, it can be inferred that the MGWR model was more suitable for explaining the poverty levels in Central Java. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). All Rights Reserved.

The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) brings advanced patient monitoring and predictive analytics to healthcare but also raises cybersecurity and data privacy issues. This paper introduces a deep-learning model for IoMT intrusion detection, utilizing the WUSTL EHMS 2020 dataset, which focuses on cyber threats like man-in-the-middle attacks and data injection. Our sequential model, trained with TensorFlow, surpasses traditional predictive accuracy and efficiency methods. It achieves 99% accuracy with reduced loss and excels in precision, recall, F1 Score, and ROC AUC. The model uses 25 key features from 45, preventing overfitting and addressing data leakage in preprocessing. These steps ensure the model's reliability for IoMT cybersecurity, demonstrating its effectiveness in real-world scenarios. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a network that is constructed in regions that are inaccessible to human *** widespread deployment of wireless micro sensors will make it possible to conduct accurate environmental monitoring for a use in both civil and military *** make use of these data to monitor and keep track of the physical data of the surrounding environment in order to ensure the sustainability of the *** data have to be picked up by the sensor,and then sent to the sink node where they may be *** nodes of the WSNs are powered by batteries,therefore they eventually run out of *** energy restriction has an effect on the network life span and environmental *** objective of this study is to further improve the Engroove Leach(EL)protocol’s energy efficiency so that the network can operate for a very long time while consuming the least amount of *** lifespan of WSNs is being extended often using clustering and routing *** Meta Inspired Hawks Fragment Optimization(MIHFO)system,which is based on passive clustering,is used in this study to do *** cluster head is chosen based on the nodes’residual energy,distance to neighbors,distance to base station,node degree,and node *** on distance,residual energy,and node degree,an algorithm known as Heuristic Wing Antfly Optimization(HWAFO)selects the optimum path between the cluster head and Base Station(BS).They examine the number of nodes that are active,their energy consumption,and the number of data packets that the BS *** overall experimentation is carried out under the MATLAB *** the analysis,it has been discovered that the suggested approach yields noticeably superior outcomes in terms of throughput,packet delivery and drop ratio,and average energy consumption.
