This paper outlines the merging of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) with Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) and space communication systems. The usage of AI drives decision-making in critical domains of telecommunications and space explorations requires transparency and interpretability. However, traditional AI models often operate as 'black boxes,' making it difficult to understand their decision-making processes. This lack of explainability poses significant risks, including misinterpretation of signals, undetected anomalies, and erroneous decision-making, which can compromise the integrity of communication systems. Specifically, the challenges include accurately distinguishing between legitimate signals and attacks in anti-jamming scenarios, understanding the behaviour of complex models like LSTM in traffic prediction, and ensuring the reliability of telemetry data despite errors and noise. Integration of XAI techniques within O-RAN architecture and space communication protocols can ensure trust, reliability and safety in AI-enabled systems. This paper investigates the opportunities and challenges of incorporating XAI in O-RAN and space communications. Additionally, it presents the implications of XAI, the need for interpretability in autonomous spacecraft operations, anomaly detection and decision support for mission-critical tasks. By bridging the gap in AI transparency and advanced communication technology, this paper aims to present a detailed analysis of implemented AI and Machine Learning (ML) in the telecommunication domain. It also presents the challenges currently faced in the intersection of XAI and communication. Use cases of XAI in the domain of Open Radio Access Network and Space communications in light of LIME and SHAP techniques were presented to give a hypothetical modelling for future experimentation to provide local and global interpretation and explanations for the currently employed AI/ML models in the respective domains. Industrial Cyber-Physical (ICP) systems are integration of computation and physical processes to help achieve operational excellence. As sensors and actuators compose the openly deployed ICP systems and are often susceptible to interference, it puts forward higher requirements on reliability. Reliable coverage ensures sensors acquiring information and therefore coverage reliability of sensor network is studied from various perspectives. However, most existing reliability evaluation methods ignore the belief degree of coverage which influences the reliability to an extent. To evaluate the coverage reliability from the perspective of belief degree, we firstly define Confident Information Coverage Belief Reliability (CICBR) based on the Confident Information Coverage (CIC) model and D-S evidence theory, which comprehensively considers the coverage rate, interference from the environment, and belief degree of the result. Next, to evaluate the belief degree more reasonably, an Evidence-discount-based basic probability assignment generating method is proposed based on D-S theory to describe the interference in the belief degree. Moreover, a belief evaluation algorithm is proposed to calculate the belief degree of the coverage. Finally, an evidence-Discount-based Confident Information Coverage Belief Reliability Evaluation (D-CICBRE) algorithm is proposed to evaluate CICBR. The simulation result indicates that the proposed method can obtain higher and more reasonable reliability. Therefore, the proposed D-CICBRE algorithm can be used to evaluate the reliability of ICP systems more accurately and reasonably. © 2023 IEEE.

Daily newspapers publish a tremendous amount of information disseminated through the *** available and easily accessible large online repositories are not indexed and are in an un-processable *** major hindrance in developing and evaluating existing/new monolingual text in an image is that it is not linked and *** is no method to reuse the online news images because of the unavailability of standardized benchmark corpora,especially for South Asian *** corpus is a vital resource for developing and evaluating text in an image to reuse local news systems in general and specifically for the Urdu *** of indexing,primarily semantic indexing of the daily news items,makes news items impracticable for any ***,the most straightforward search facility does not support these unindexed news *** study addresses this gap by associating and marking the newspaper images with one of the widely spoken but under-resourced languages,i.e.,*** present work proposed a method to build a benchmark corpus of news in image form by introducing a web *** corpus is then semantically linked and annotated with daily news *** techniques are proposed for image annotation,free annotation and fixed cross examination *** second technique got higher *** news ontology in protégéusing OntologyWeb Language(OWL)language and indexed the annotations under *** application is also built and linked with protégéso that the readers and journalists have an interface to query the news items ***,news items linked together will provide complete coverage and bring together different opinions at a single location for readers to do the analysis themselves.

The rapid advancement of wireless sensor networks has prompted the invention of low-cost and compact sensor devices, with the Internet of Things (IoT) enabled as a feasible tool for automation and decision-making in the field of agriculture. This is a significant step forward. The purpose of this study is to investigate the feasibility of developing an expert system for determining the appropriateness of agricultural land by combining sensor networks with artificial intelligence (AI) systems. This proposed system will assist farmers in evaluating agricultural land for cultivation in terms of four decision classes, determining why manure regimes should be adjusted to meet the demands of specific crops and regions, and protect the environment by lowering the amount of pollution caused by unused fertilizer and manure. There are a few methods for the management of soil richness, such as assessing the quality of the soil in terms of its pH level and the amounts of phosphate, nitrogen, and potassium it contains. An ANN model uses climate data to make suggestions and estimates about the amounts of NPK supplements, as well as suggestions about how compost should be treated and when it should be applied.. © 2022 IEEE.

The need to ensure the longevity of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and secure their communication has spurred various researchers to come up with various WSN models. Prime among the methods for extending the life span of WSNs is the clustering of Wireless Sensors (WS), which reduces the workload of WS and thereby reduces its power consumption. However, a drastic reduction in the power consumption of the sensors when multicore sensors are used in combination with sensors clustering has not been well explored. Therefore, this work proposes a WSN model that employs clustering of multicore WS. The existing Elliptic Curve Cryptographic (ECC) algorithm is optimized for parallel execution of the encryption/decryption processes and security against primitive attacks. The Elliptic Curve Diffie-Helman (ECDH) was used for the key exchange algorithm, and the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) was used to authenticate the communicating nodes. Security analysis of the model and comparative performance analysis with the existing ones were demonstrated. The security analysis results reveal that the proposed model meets the security requirements and resists various security attacks. Additionally, the projected model is scalable, energy-conservative, and supports data freshness. The results of comparative performance analysis show that the proposed WSN model can efficiently leverage multiprocessors and/or many cores for quicker execution and conserves power usage. © 2013 IEEE.

This paper explores how the convergence of augmented reality (AR), cloud computing, and machine learning might transform public engagement in sustainable city planning in today's dynamic urban environment. Citizens may experience proposed urban developments in unprecedented detail, including their possible social, environmental, and infrastructural impacts, due to the use of augmented reality. The potential for AR, cloud computing, and Support Vector Machines (SVM) to dramatically increase citizen participation in green urban design is investigated. With AR, individuals may explore potential new developments in virtual cityscapes. Intricate linkages within the dynamic dataset created during public participation are captured by the system's usage of SVM to evaluate and understand user comments. The ability of SVM to deal with non-linear patterns is crucial to gleaning useful insights from stakeholders' complex and varied contributions. In order to ensure that all parties involved in a system have access to the most up-to-date information, cloud computing plays a crucial role by enabling real-time collaboration and changes to the AR models This all-encompassing method not only improves the effectiveness of eco-friendly city planning, but also encourages openness and participation in policymaking. The suggested system represents a paradigm shift, demonstrating that innovative technology may be combined with informed citizenry to produce ecologically responsible and socially dynamic cities. © 2024 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a form of Internet-based distributed computing that allows devices and their services to interact and execute tasks for each other. Consequently, the footprint of the IoT is increasing and becoming more complex to the highest degree. This has also given birth to new IoT-enabled applications and services. Efficient service interaction and management also call for understanding and analyzing the nature of IoT services. Further, IoT services must be characterized into various classes, and different service-related attributes must be considered for the classification. This article assesses the requirements of heterogeneous IoT services by examining their interactions. Principally, heterogeneous IoT and their service interactions are targeted. The research work performs classification of IoT services into various classes. Services are classified on the basis of various attributes. The attributes reflect different characteristics of the services. This research enables improved utilization of IoT services through efficient classification of available resources using machine learning methods. To demonstrate service classification applicability, the SVM, voting classifier, and decision tree have been applied in a service-oriented environment along with different types of services. All the services in the data set were analyzed and divided into five classes. Moreover, the decision tree performed well and achieved higher accuracy values in all classes. However, the overall prediction and classification of the decision tree model were observed to be good and satisfactorily high. © 2013 IEEE.

Due to the exponential growth of video data,aided by rapid advancements in multimedia *** became difficult for the user to obtain information from a large video *** process of providing an abstract of the entire video that includes the most representative frames is known as static video *** method resulted in rapid exploration,indexing,and retrieval of massive video *** propose a framework for static video summary based on a Binary Robust Invariant Scalable Keypoint(BRISK)and bisecting K-means clustering *** current method effectively recognizes relevant frames using BRISK by extracting keypoints and the descriptors from video *** video frames’BRISK features are clustered using a bisecting K-means,and the keyframe is determined by selecting the frame that is most near the cluster *** applying any clustering parameters,the appropriate clusters number is determined using the silhouette *** were carried out on a publicly available open video project(OVP)dataset that contained videos of different *** proposed method’s effectiveness is compared to existing methods using a variety of evaluation metrics,and the proposed method achieves a trade-off between computational cost and quality.
