Next-generation wireless applications are expected to enable extended ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) to support high data rates along with ultra-reliability and low-latency features beyond the capabilities of existing core services. There is a need to transition from conventional architectures to more efficient and robust multiple-access schemes to meet these consolidated requirements in resource-constrained systems. This study explores the utilization of simultaneous transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface (STAR-RIS) in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems to enable spectrally efficient URLLC, even under the imperfect channel state information. In particular, we focus on maximizing spectral efficiency by jointly designing robust beamforming at the base station and STAR-RIS subject to given URLLC requirements. Due to the non-convexity of the formulated problem, we propose an alternating optimization framework that obtains sub-optimal solutions to the problems of beamforming design at the BS and STAR-RIS, respectively by exploiting S-procedure and successive convex approximation. Simulation results confirm that the STAR-RIS-NOMA system can significantly boost the spectral efficiency by 10-15% compared to conventional reflecting-only RIS while guaranteeing the strict URLLC requirements. Specifically, among all the possible modes of STAR-RIS, the time-splitting mode provides better spectral efficiency than other modes owing to its better interference management. 0090-6778 © 2024 IEEE.

This study's objective is to evaluate the system's level of maturity by adopting the COBIT Framework 5. The COBIT Framework is one of the ISACA-issued frameworks that defines the concept of information technology governance. The BAI (Build, Acquire, and Implement) domain is the subject of this investigation. The BAI domain is one of the COBIT 5 Framework domains responsible for program and project management, description of needs, identification of solutions, building change availability and capacity, change acceptance and transition, knowledge, assets, and configuration. This study employs qualitative methods to perform literature reviews and question-and-answer sessions, and then collects quantitative analytical data through the formulation of statements or inquiries. There were 5 respondents who responded to the statement, and they implemented the system. The BAI domain of the CBT Examination system in Jakarta's Senior High School XYZ has been calculated and determined to be at level 4, indicating that the system is functioning appropriately. There are subdomains with a lower maturity level in BAI01, BAI02, BAI03, BAI04, BAI06, BAI07, and BAI08, specifically at a rate between 3.8 and 3.96. Additionally, BAI05, BAI09, and BAI10 contain subdomains with a higher level of maturity, with a value range of 4.07 to 4.15. All BAI subdomains culminate at level 4, the system's maturity level, with a value of 3.93. Level 4 indicates that the level of development for Managed and Measurable is fairly good. It can also provide recommendations for improvements, such as paying attention to project management methods before beginning implementation, being able to estimate the time required for the implementation process, and paying attention to the role of trained stakeholders. © 2023 IEEE.

5G New Radio (NR) operates in two frequency ranges viz. Frequency Range 1 (sub-6 GHz band) and Frequency Range 2 (millimeter wave communication). It utilizes Time Division Duplex (TDD) communication, allowing the same frequency band for uplink and downlink transmission using sounding reference signals. These signals help estimate channel conditions for scheduling downlink traffic. Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) technology enables simultaneous data transmission to multiple users using multiple antennas. This study examines MU-MIMO performance in TDD by analyzing variables like radio conditions, modulation schemes, code rates, precoding algorithms, and sub-carrier spacing. Simulation results show that Zero Forcing (ZF) precoding outperforms Block Diagonalization (BD) and Regularized Zero Forcing (RZF) in good radio conditions. However, in bad radio conditions, RZF performs better than ZF. Choosing higher code rates in 16 and 64-QAM and lower code rates in 256-QAM from the MCS table improves throughput. This indicates that MCS and user selection are crucial for higher throughput in TDD-based MU-MIMO for 5G NR. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

It datasets are widely utilized, shared, and repurposed without providing enough context for understanding the decision-making processes that led to their creation. It is necessary to modify system creation and use procedures to handle the concrete effects of how knowledge for model building is envisioned and used in real-world applications as AI systems assume more and more important roles. Documents are created at every phase of the data generation lifecycle to improve communication, aid in decision-making, and highlight the need of careful data work. By putting out this paradigm, we want to shed light on the choices and duties that are often disregarded while creating datasets, which is a crucial first step in bridging the duty of care gap in AI. Algorithmic trading has emerged as a powerful tool for making data-driven trading decisions in financial markets. In this paper, we present an innovative algorithmic trading model for stock price forecasting that integrates forest-based machine learning algorithms with the Golden Ratio strategy. Our proposed approach aims to leverage the predictive power of machine learning while incorporating insights from technical analysis to enhance trading performance and profitability. The methodology involves data collection and preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, and performance evaluation. Historical stock price data, financial indicators, and sentiment analysis data are gathered and pre-processed to ensure data quality. Feature engineering techniques are applied to extract relevant features, and forest-based machine learning algorithms are trained on the data to forecast stock prices. The Golden Ratio strategy is integrated into the trading model to identify the entry point and exit point. Empirical validation and performance evaluation demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed approach. Through back testing and simulation-based testing, we evaluate the model's accuracy, profitability, and risk-adjusted returns. Our findings contribute to the advancement of algorithmic trading research and practice, offering insights into the potential benefits of combining machine learning algorithms with established trading strategies. The proposed hybrid model incorporates Golden Ratio Strategy, integrating Random Forest (RF). The results of the proposed random forest with Golden Ratio Strategy are compared with the results of individual model. This comparison helps in proving the efficiency of the proposed model. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a robust design for an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-assisted multiple-input single output non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system. By considering channel uncertainties, the original robust design problem is formulated as a sum-rate maximization problem under a set of constraints. In particular, the uncertainties associated with reflected channels through IRS elements and direct channels are taken into account in the design and they are modelled as bounded errors. However, the original robust problem is not jointly convex in terms of beamformers at the base station and phase shifts of IRS elements. Therefore, we reformulate the original robust design as a reinforcement learning problem and develop an algorithm based on the twin-delayed deep deterministic policy gradient agent (also known as TD3). In particular, the proposed algorithm solves the original problem by jointly designing the beamformers and the phase shifts, which is not possible with conventional optimization techniques. Numerical results are provided to validate the effectiveness and evaluate the performance of the proposed robust design. In particular, the results demonstrate the competitive and promising capabilities of the proposed robust algorithm, which achieves significant gains in terms of robustness and system sum-rates over the baseline deep deterministic policy gradient agent. In addition, the algorithm has the ability to deal with fixed and dynamic channels, which gives deep reinforcement learning methods an edge over hand-crafted convex optimization-based algorithms. © 2023 CCBY.

Optimizing the allocation of healthcare resources has never been easier than with the help of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs). In healthcare systems, where complications abound, GNNs may help with the allocation of resources in a way that improves both patient outcomes and operational efficiency. The goal is to use GNNs' graph-modelling capabilities to describe healthcare networks, with hospitals, doctors, and other medical resources acting as nodes and potential transfers of patients or shared resources as edges. Using both past and present data, the goal is to optimize resource allocation by forecasting the most effective distribution patterns. The decision-making process is improved by using important methods including attention mechanisms, message-passing algorithms, and node embeddings. The accuracy and scalability of healthcare resource management are both enhanced by GNNs, which capture spatial and temporal dynamics. The general efficacy of healthcare delivery systems is improved by this method, which permits more precise forecasts and efficient use of resources. The results highlight how GNNs can change healthcare resource allocation models. From GitHub repository data the short interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs) data with efficacy is calculated. Out of the 8 data collected as samples for various siRNAs the efficacy minimum value is 0.07 and the maximum value is 0.946 and in other data samples collected it is 0.386 and 0.777. For miRNAs it is 0.934 and 0.394 and in other data sample collected it is 0.738 and 0.432. © 2024 IEEE.

A notable expansion of information in digital space provides quick access to these massive amounts of news, literature, and so on. Although maximum news is available in English, people are interested in reading in their language. Almost all Bangla newspapers now have their online version, so people prefer to read newspapers online. Without reading the whole news, it is not possible to obtain significant information and a summary from a news article. A news summary is a process of extracting the most significant information from a news article in a precise manner. In this case, we require an effective Bangla text summarizer tool to get insight from the news easily. Text summarizers use linguistic methods to generate and interpret text before uncovering natural concepts and phrases to represent the content by compressing the original text document into a shorter text that contains the most relevant information. Summarizing lengthy and important text by enforcing specific guidelines is a challenging task. Therefore, a method based on intelligent machine learning is widely anticipated in this content. This paper uses extractive automatic text summarization techniques to condense the source text into a shorter version by preserving the significant information of the original text. Here we have adopted two machine learning-based techniques (i.e., word2vec, and similarity matrix) and a rule-based technique (word count) for Bangla text summarization. With the rapid development of technology, the use of social media by the public, especially among young people, is increasing. One of the social media platforms currently used by young people is the TikTok application. It is a video-based TikTok feature accompanied by music, writing, and pictures that are considered attractive, so teenagers like it to show their existence and self-disclosure. Therefore, this study aims to examine the intention of users to disclose their privacy. As the basis of the theory, this study deployed the privacy calculus theory, where the perceived benefits and perceived risks play crucial roles in the intention to disclose their privacy. The study successfully collected 369 responses. The empirical findings indicated that only the relationship between Perceived Personalization (PP) and Perceived Risk (PR) was not supported. However, all the remaining hypotheses were supported. These findings emphasize how several complicated variables influence social media users' intentions to disclose their privacy. When people feel in control of their privacy settings and see significant benefits, they are more likely to divulge personal information;nevertheless, perceived risks can greatly discourage users. © 2024 IEEE.
