This paper provides an estimation evaluation of the area and line detection methods in virtual photo processing. This analysis evaluates the performance of numerous facet and line detection algorithms in phrases of facet/line first-rate, accuracy, computational complexity, and robustness to noise in the context of artificial and actualinternational snapshots. Mainly, it discusses the overall performance of 4 edge detection methods: Roberts, Prewitt, Sobel, and Canny;and 3 line detection techniques: Hough remodel, Linear Estimation, and Probabilistic Hough remodel. as compared to the classical algorithms, the Probabilistic Hough rework algorithm is determined to have the excellent accuracy and robustness to noise. Furthermore, a contrast of computational complexities shows that the Hough transform has the bottom complexity and computational time, even as the Linear Estimation algorithm has the best complexity and computational time. The primary outcome of this study is that the brink/line first-rate, accuracy, computational complexity, and robustness are very dependent on the sort of entered snapshots and the respective selected parameters. © 2023 IEEE.

Underwater high-speed networks (HSN s) use several environmental, operational, and technical demanding situations, making their layout and efficient operation challenging. The underwater medium introduces variabilities on the acoustic channels that, in turn, increase the complexity of the routing and site visitors' control. Multipath routing has been proposed to manage agile, nice-grain, and actual-time cease-to-end visitors in these networks. This painting provides and evaluates several multipath routing techniques for excessive velocity Underwater Networks (HSUN s), The proposed algorithms originate from direction Vector protocols and think about link metrics, hop to be counted, put-off jitter, packet loss fee, and other applicable parameters. We examine the performance of the proposed multipath routing strategies, based totally on the standard packet put-off, packet loss fee, and jitter average in a large-scale natural experiment carried out using acoustic modems underneath controlled channel conditions in an underwater tunnel. The experiment results show vast enhancements in the performance of the network when compared to single-route routing. Furthermore, the effects display the strong effect of the multipath routing techniques on the community's overall performance. In step with the acquired outcomes, the offered multipath routing techniques may be increased and used to enhance the throughput and first-rate service of excessive-velocity underwater networks. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a comprehensive investigation of traffic radar coverage efficiency under different placement strategies in collaboration with Zhejiang communications Investment Group Company Limited (CICO). The overall goal is to maximise coverage while minimising blind spots and the number of radars, given the constraints of the road. The NSGA-II multi-objective optimisation algorithm is found to be capable of generating a set of optimal solutions for the proposed radar placement configurations. When aiming for 100% coverage, the results indicate that a multi-antenna radar configuration requires the lowest radar density. Overall, this study provides valuable insights to transportation infrastructure owners in determining the best radar placement strategies for road traffic monitoring. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

A rectangular microstrip patch antenna (RMPA) is designed and analyzed in this paper. FR-4 is used as a substrate material, whose dielectric permittivity is 4.3. This antenna is designed and simulated using CST software. Return loss, VSWR, directive gain, and bandwidth are obtained from the given simulation. The results after simulation are return loss, VSWR, directive gain, and bandwidth of -55.7 dB, 1.0032, 6.81 dBi, and 110 MHz, respectively. The main objective of that paper was to increase return loss, bring the VSWR closer to 1, and increase directive gain. This antenna can be used in radars, mobile phones, and wireless LAN applications. © 2022 IEEE.

Predicting depression intensity from microblogs and social media posts has numerous benefits and applications,including predicting early psychological disorders and stress in individuals or the general public.A major challenge in predicting depression using social media posts is that the existing studies do not focus on predicting the intensity of depression in social media texts but rather only perform the binary classification of depression and moreover noisy data makes it difficult to predict the true depression in the social media *** study intends to begin by collecting relevant Tweets and generating a corpus of 210000 public tweets using Twitter public application programming interfaces(APIs).A strategy is devised to filter out only depression-related tweets by creating a list of relevant hashtags to reduce noise in the ***,an algorithm is developed to annotate the data into three depression classes:‘Mild,’‘Moderate,’and‘Severe,’based on International Classification of Diseases-10(ICD-10)depression diagnostic *** baseline classifiers are applied to the annotated dataset to get a preliminary idea of classification performance on the *** FastText-based model is applied and fine-tuned with different preprocessing techniques and hyperparameter tuning to produce the tuned model,which significantly increases the depression classification performance to an 84%F1 score and 90%accuracy compared to ***,a FastText-based weighted soft voting ensemble(WSVE)is proposed to boost the model’s performance by combining several other classifiers and assigning weights to individual models according to their individual *** proposed WSVE outperformed all baselines as well as FastText alone,with an F1 of 89%,5%higher than FastText alone,and an accuracy of 93%,3%higher than FastText *** proposed model better captures the contextual features of the relatively small sample class and aids in the detection of

Accurate sector-based air traffic flow predictions are essential for ensuring the safety and efficiency of the air traffic management (ATM) system. However, due to the inherent spatial and temporal dependencies of air traffic flow, it is still a challenging problem. To solve this problem, some methods are proposed considering the relationship between sectors, while the complicated spatiotemporal dynamics and interdependencies between traffic flow of route segments related to the sector are not taken into account. To address this challenge, the attention-enhanced graph convolutional long short-term memory network (AGC-LSTM) model is applied to improve the short-term sector-based traffic flow prediction, in which spatial structures of route segments related to the sector are considered for the first time. Specifically, the graph convolutional networks (GCN)-LSTM network model was employed to capture spatiotemporal dependencies of the flight data, and the attention mechanism is designed to concentrate on the informative features from key nodes at each layer of the AGC-LSTM model. The proposed model is evaluated through a case study of the typical enroute sector in the central–southern region of China. The prediction results show that MAE reduces by 14.4% compared to the best performing GCN-LSTM model among the other five models. Furthermore, the study involves comparative analyses to assess the influence of route segment range, input and output sequence lengths, and time granularities on prediction performance. This study helps air traffic managers predict flight situations more accurately and avoid implementing overly conservative or excessively aggressive flow management measures for the sectors. © The Author(s) 2024.

This study explores the integration of the AI-powered adaptive learning system within the flipped classroom model and discusses programming education. The increasing demand for the acquisition of programming skills in the digital era generates the development of innovative pedagogical approaches to help students overcome the difficulties in mastering programming concepts. The study investigates how AI-based adaptive feedback influences student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. This study was conducted for 13 weeks, with two groups of undergraduate students. In one of the groups, tshe traditional flipped classroom model was applied, while in the other group, AI-driven adaptive learning tools were introduced. In this research methodology, a mixed-methods approach was adopted, integrating quantitative analyses with qualitative data. These showed that the experimental group demonstrated significant improvements in learning results and motivation, thereby realiszing the value of real-time, personalized feedback provided through the AI system. The qualitative findings revealed that with the AI system, there was an increase in student autonomy;thus, there is increased responsibility among students to collaborate in in-class participation, which helps enhance a more dynamic and cooperative learning environment. On the whole, these findings reveal important implications of the integration of AI into flipped classrooms, while at the same time, they reveal how to make the modernization of programming education achieve a better overall experience in student learning. © 2025 The Authors

Heuristic algorithms are used to solve complex computational problems quickly in various computer applications. Such algorithms use heuristic functions that rank the search alternatives instead of a full enumeration of possible variants. The algorithm selects, at each iteration, an alternative with the best value for the heuristics. In this paper, we investigate the complex computational problem of finding highly nonlinear substitutions (S-boxes) in the space of 8-bit permutations. The generation of S-boxes is an important field of research, since nonlinear substitutions are widely used in various cryptographic applications. For instance, S-boxes in symmetric ciphers are responsible for cryptographic strength to linear, differential, algebraic, and other types of cryptanalysis. We propose new heuristics in the form of a cost function, calculated with the Walsh-Hadamard transform. We use the Hill Climbing Algorithm to find highly nonlinear substitutions. Our experiments demonstrate that the new heuristics give good results – it takes about 80,000 iterations of the algorithm to generate 8-bit S-boxes with a nonlinearity of 104. For the optimized parameters, the number of iterations of the algorithm is comparable to the best known results, which confirms the significance and value of the research. © The Author(s).

The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into modern homes has enhanced safety and comfort, particularly in detecting gas leaks, which pose serious fire hazards. Gas leaks can often be detected by smell, but this method fails when no one is present. Previous research using microcontrollers and sensors to detect gas leaks faced challenges with accuracy due to noise interference. This paper proposes the use of a Kalman filter, developed by Rudolf Emil Kalman in 1960, to improve gas leak detection accuracy by filtering out noise. The system comprises an Arduino Nano, ESP8266 WiFi module, MQ-2 gas sensor, buzzer, and ThingSpeak cloud platform. By applying the Kalman filter, noise and data oscillations are reduced, enhancing detection accuracy. Experimental results show the system effectively detects gas leaks, provides real-time data, and triggers alarms. Future improvements could include additional sensors and features to further increase the system's reliability and functionality. © 2024 IEEE.

Passive Optical Network (PON) standards relied on Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) and Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) methods to maximize data rate. The latest 25GS-PON specifications were declared by Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) group in 2022. The current work stacks two and four 25-Gb/s TDM-PON downstream (DS) channels. The simulation, evaluation, and outcomes are completed using various versions of *** software. O-band wavelength plan as well as Continuous-Wave (CW) laser with Non-Return-to-Zero/On-Off-Keying (NRZ-OOK) format support the system to mitigate Chromatic Dispersion (CD) and upgrade the system capacity. The power budget of 31.1 dB is suitable for Optical Distribution Network (ODN) standards, and the standard value of receiver sensitivity (-24.1 dBm) is achieved. The transmitted power of 1, 4, and 7 dBm are needed for 32, 64, and 128 users/λ, respectively. The transmission is successful for 512 subscribers and 20 km optical reach without the use of amplifiers, Forward Error Correction (FEC), and compensation techniques. The effect of four-wave mixing (FWM) is solved by the wavelength space of 0.8 nm as well as the slight increase in transmitted power from 7 to 7.8 dBm. The open and clear eye diagrams prove the quality of received signals. The simplicity of structure is high because of utilizing basic components and Intensity Modulation/Direct Detection (IM/DD) strategy without amplification and equalization. FEC and compensation techniques are recommended for future work. © 2023 IEEE.
