A computer decision support system for the design and change-over of production of multi-assortment polymeric materials has been developed. The system helps to solve the problems of choosing hardware design and technological modes of extrusion, ensuring resource saving in production. The system includes a subsystem for selecting the brand of the extruder and assembling a 3D model of the modular screw of the extruder, a subsystem for synthesizing a mathematical model for calculating the extrusion efficiency indices depending on the operating parameters of the extruder, a database of types of polymeric materials, a database of brands of extruders, a database of technological regulations of extrusion. 3D models of elements of screw extruders of various types, rules of placement and layout of 3D models of elements when assembling a 3D screw model, mathematical models of physical processes in the channels of screws and heads of extruders are the core of the system. The system allows you to select the brand of the extruder, form the configuration of the extruder screw and determine the operating parameters of extrusion, at which the specified requirements for the quality of the extrudate, throughput and specific energy consumption of the extrusion are satisfied. Testing of the system has been carried out according to the data of industrial extrusion and calendering productions of multi-assortment polymeric films for packaging food and medicines. The test results have confirmed the operability of the software. They have showed an increase in production efficiency due to a reduction in defective products (non-returnable waste), energy saving, and a reduction in the time of change-over of production on new tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

Often, the description of the physical effect in the 'primary' sources of information (patent documents, journal articles of a physical profile, dissertations in physics) contains graphs of dependencies linking the physical quantities of the input and output impacts of the physical effect (PhE). The analysis of this information and its use to expand the description of the physical effect is an urgent task. A modification of the model for describing the physical effect was carried out, taking into account the graphical representation of the functional dependence of the physical quantities of the PhE. CNN, LSTM, Visual Transformer (ViT) neural networks and machine learning methods of Naive Bayes, SVM have been tested in relation to classification and recognition tasks on images of dependency graphs. A comparative analysis of the approaches (accuracy of definition, complexity of data preparation, fault tolerance, equipment requirements) was carried out using criteria of precision, recall, F-measure, AUC-ROC. © 2024 IEEE.

Currently, patent documents contain graphic images of device drawings, graphs, chemical and mathematical formulas, and the formulas often need to be recognized and brought to a unified standard. This work analyzes graphic images extracted from the descriptions of FIPS Rospatent patents. Thematic filtering of mathematical and chemical formulas contained in patent documents and their recognition is provided. The theoretical value lies in the developed patent parsing algorithms in the *** system;recognition of chemical and mathematical formulas among graphic patent images;converting graphic images of chemical formulas into SMILES format;converting graphic images of mathematical formulas into LaTeX format. The practical significance of the work lies in the developed software module for analyzing graphic images from patent documents. The scope of the developed module is the study of patents and the reduction of graphic images to a unified standard for solving patent examine problems. © 2024 IEEE.

Reliable operation of modern electronic devices is the basis for their effective use. Electromagnetic interference, such as lightning, creates the risk of temporary or permanent disruption of the functioning of device elements. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the possible consequences of such interference on the basis of prediction even at the design stage of electronic devices. The paper a technique for predicting the magnitude of lightning impulse interference in electronic devices using an artificial neural network is proposed. The advantage of this approach over simulation modeling is that rather complex three-dimensional models and long computation times are not needed. A stand was developed and obtained by measuring the amount of lightning interference in an electronic device. The features of the task of training an artificial neural network based on experimental data are considered. The architecture and parameters of the artificial neural network have been selected. An artificial neural network was trained based on experimental data. The root mean square error between the predicted data and the average impulse interference voltage values on the training data does not exceed acceptable values. The results of predicting the magnitude of lightning interference in an electronic device are presented. If we consider further prospects for using an artificial neural network to predict electromagnetic interference, we can note the relevance of the problem of the impact of electrostatic discharge, intentional short pulse and etc. © 2024 IEEE.

The computer system for forming compositions and modeling the secondary polymer materials properties is described in the article. The polymer compositions are formed using a customizable dataware, which includes a polymer wastes database and a knowledge base for recycling polymers into useful polymer products The knowledge base is developed using a product-frame model for representing knowledge about polymers and their compatibility. modeling and research of the secondary polymers properties (strength, elasticity and density) is carried out based on the mathematical models. The result of the modeling system is a technological map for the composite polymer mixture synthesis and the production of a useful polymer product. The map includes data on the recipe, physicochemical and technological properties of polymers as secondary raw materials, polymer composition, hardware and technological design of the process, values of technological controlled variables of individual stages of processing. The use of a modeling system in production makes it possible to reduce the time required to solve the problem of selecting compositions, as well as reconfiguring production for a new task, improve the consumer characteristics of polymer products and reduce defects. © 2023 IEEE.

The article describes intelligent technologies used in the design of an information system for controlling the polymer waste processing into useful technical products. The basis of the system is a configurable information model that includes a database of characteristics of polymer waste and a knowledge base of the processes of their recycling into technical products (containers, packing materials, etc.). The knowledge base is built using a production-frame model for the representation of unformalized knowledge about the polymers compatibility, the quantitative ratio of the components of a composite mixture, waste processing methods to obtain a homogeneous mixture with specified properties (strength, resistance to aggressive substance, etc.). The result of the functioning of the system is the formation of a technological map of the production of a technical product, including information about the formulation and synthesis process of the polymer composition, specifications of the hardware design and the values of the technological modes of the production stages. Testing of the system according to the LLC "Plastic processing plant named after "Komsomolskaya Pravda" on the basis of the Polymer Ecology Training Center of SPSIT confirmed its operability and the possibility of use at polymer industry enterprises. The use of the system allows you to reduce the time spent on solving the problem of reconfiguration of production and selection of compositions, reduce defects and improve the consumer characteristics of products. ©2023 IEEE.

In the paper, hardware and software of the Arduino based pure sine wave inverter with overload and overheating protection have been developed. The inverter constantly monitors the consumption current, the battery voltage, the temperature of the power switches (radiator) and, if their parameters are normal, forms a sinusoidal voltage of 230 V, 50 Hz at the output of the inverter, similar to the network voltage. The inverter provides the display of information on the LCD screen about current and power consumption, battery voltage, temperature of the inverter power switches, as well as display of emergency icons when the permissible operating parameters are exceeded. The inverter generates sound and visual warning messages with LED indicators and buzzer. The inverter can be used as a lightweight low-power 100 W network inverter with sine-wave voltage for autonomous power supply of low-power electronics. © 2024 IEEE.

The influence of chromatic dispersion on the noise immunity of an optical signal transmitted in a single-channel fiber-optic transmission system with direct photodetection is investigated. The criterion for assessing the noise immunity of a detected signal is the Q-factor. A method for compensating chromatic dispersion using digital signal processing is proposed. Digital signal processing is performed using a digital correction device installed in the receiving part of the transmission system, after the photodetector. The impulse response depends on the parameters of the transmission system. The theoretical effectiveness of the proposed chromatic dispersion compensation method is evaluated. The effectiveness of the compensation method is assessed by comparing the noise immunity of the detected signal before and after applying the dispersion compensation method. The possibility of using the proposed method of chromatic dispersion compensation in modern fiber-optic transmission systems is considered. The research was carried out using analytical modeling of the process of transmitting a sequence of Gaussian pulse signals over a standard single-mode optical fiber. The analytical model is implemented in the Mathcad environment. © 2024 IEEE.

The growing dependence on personal vehicles has intensified challenges in traffic management, violation monitoring, and locating stolen cars. Addressing these issues, this study introduces a real-time, smart system for detecting and recognizing Syrian car license plates using surveillance camera image processing. The system is built on a decentralized architecture with edge computers, notably the Khadas Vim3 equipped with Neural Processing Units (NPUs). It utilizes two YoloV4-tiny networks trained on a dataset of over 1100 images of Syrian license plate. The first network detects cars and plates with high accuracy, while the second recognizes numbers on the plates with 87% accuracy. Adhering to Internet of Things (IoT) principles, the system processes up to 16 frames per second for detection and 8 frames per second for broadcasting results, maintaining uninterrupted operation even if an edge computer is offline, thereby providing a consistent and efficient solution for traffic management challenges. © 2024 IEEE.
