Efficiently finding similar items in large datasets is a crucial task with applications in various domains. This abstract presents a survey of algorithms and techniques designed for this purpose. Notable approaches include Minhashing, which employs hash signatures to estimate set similarity;Locality-Sensitive Hashing (LSH), a family of hash functions grouping similar items into common buckets;Cosine Similarity for Vector Spaces, suitable for data represented as vectors;Random Projection, a dimensionality reduction technique preserving pairwise distances;Word Embeddings, leveraging pre-trained embeddings for measuring similarity in text data;Bloom Filters, space-efficient structures for set-membership testing;Tree-based Methods like KD-trees and Ball-trees for efficient nearest neighbor searches;and SimHash, a method generating hash codes to represent similarity. To choose an algorithm the factors such as data characteristics, dataset size, and the desired balance between accuracy and computational efficiency should be considered. Experimentation with different techniques is recommended to determine the most effective approach for specific use cases. © 2024 IEEE.

Digitalisation of the manufacturing industries due to the implementation of the ‘industrial internet of things (IIOT)’ is a key enabler for improved productivity and reliability at a reduced labour cost. The industrial IOT connects all the industrial machines such as PLCs, CNCs, and robots through a robust network. The generated data by these end devices plays a vital role in industrial automation, however acquiring the data from machines specifically legacy machines using various communication protocols is the biggest challenge and costly process, especially for MSMEs. Hence this paper discusses the usage of the open-source framework for real-time data acquisition from industrial machines and its implication in Industry 4.0. The paper implements and validates the possibility of the usage of an open-source framework for data acquisition instead of vendor-specific licensed software using several test cases. The paper also validates and proves ‘Wireshark’ can be a universal open-source solution for data acquisition using any standard communication protocols from various vendor-specific machines. Hence this work provides a novel solution for the digitalisation of the MSME manufacturing industries efficiently at the reduced maintenance cost and improve their productivity. The proposed work objective is to adapt Online social networking (OSN) is a type of interactive computer-mediated technology that allows people to share information through virtual networks. The microblogging feature of Twitter makes cyberspace prominent (usually accessed via the dark web). The work used the datasets and considered the Scrape Twitter Data (Tweets) in Python using the SN-Scrape module and Twitter 4j API in JAVA to extract social data based on hashtags, which is used to select and access tweets for dataset design from a profile on the Twitter platform based on locations, keywords, and hashtags. The experiments contain two datasets. The first dataset has over 1700 tweets with a focus on location as a keypoint (hacking-for-fun data, cyber-violence data, and vulnerability injector data), whereas the second dataset only comprises 370 tweets with a focus on reposting of tweet status as a keypoint. The method used is focused on a new system model for analysing Twitter data and detecting terrorist attacks. The weights of susceptible keywords are found using a ternary search by the Aho-Corasick algorithm (ACA) for conducting signature and pattern matching. The result represents the ACA used to perform signature matching for assigning weights to extracted words of tweet. ML is used to evaluate Twitter data for classifying patterns and determining the behaviour to identify if a person is a terrorist. SVM (Support Vector Machine) proved to be a more accurate classifier for predicting terrorist attacks compared to other classifiers (KNN- K-Nearest Neighbour and NB-Naïve Bayes). The 1st dataset shows the KNN-Acc. -98.38% and SVM Accuracy as 98.85%, whereas the 2nd dataset shows the KNN-Acc. -91.68% and SVM Accuracy as 93.97%. The proposed work concludes that the generated weights are classified (cyber-violence, vulnerability injector, and hacking-for-fun) for further feature classification. The event management mechanism matches messages that have been subscribed to and events that have been published. To identify the subscriptions that correspond to the occurrence inside the category, it must first run a clustering operation on the subscription message data and determine the category to which the event belongs. In this work, we offer an on-the-fly publish-subscribe technique that can handle on-the-fly subscription changes and category modifications in a distributed environment, as well as the synchronization of spatial information and event attribute information. Additionally, without any prior information, clustering and matching processes can be carried out rapidly. The publish-subscribe method is implemented on a distributed system, and a load-balancing solution is proposed for the algorithm on the distributed system. We then constructed our cluster and used real data to empirically evaluate the suggested publish-subscribe technique. Experiments show that incorporating both similarity and relevance with frequency, compared to focusing on similarity alone, significantly decreases the number of categories which need to be matched for events. This leads to a 15.5% improvement in the speed of matching events and subscriptions. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Pneumonia is an inflammatory lung disease that mostly affects the tiny air sacs known as alveoli in human bodies. Pneumonia may be caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Mild to severe symptoms may include a mucus-producing cough and a fever, appals, and difficulty to breath. The approach most usually used to diagnose pneumonia is chest X-ray (CXR) imaging. Images from a CXR screening can be used as an alternative or confirmation method because they are simple and affordable to acquire. Examining the chest X-rays however is a hard task that might be vulnerable to subjective variation. We used a deep learning technique in this investigation. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for deep learning were employed in this paper. In his work, the proposed model is applied to the original CXR image dataset and the augmented image dataset. We generated the augmented images from the existing CXR image dataset and deployed VGG-19, a component of the CNN model to create an autonomous Pneumonia detection system. The suggested techniques that have been employed include scaling the image, adding extra information, deep learning using Keras, batch normalization, and finally using weights from the pre-trained Keras model (VGG19). Finding pneumonia sickness is difficult and takes time. In this study, we address the issue and demonstrate how to detect pneumonia disease more quickly and accurately. Our proposed model shows an accuracy of 95% on the augmented CXR image dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

The prospective applications of facial expression-based emotion recognition have sparked a lot of interest in domains like camera technology, mental health analysis, and human-computer interaction. Using the ResNet152 architecture, we suggest a unique facial emotion recognition (FER) technique that makes use of preprocessing, data augmentation, and transfer learning. While deep learning techniques, particularly when combined with CNNs, are known to be successful for classification problems, conventional methods have difficulty optimizing both feature extraction and classification at the same time. Through extensive testing on a dataset, the research shows that the suggested method is effective, with ResNet152 obtaining an accuracy of $\mathbf{8 4 \%}$. Experiments on randomly selected photos from different sources revealed encouraging outcomes for precise and instantaneous FER. This study presents a strong method for FER that makes use of transfer learning and deep learning, providing notable improvements over traditional methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Exploring Dimensionality discount strategies for Analytical Processing (OLAP) is an area of research that makes a specialty of the use of diverse techniques to reduce the variety of dimensions needed to investigate a records set. That is high-quality because it reduces processing time, garage area requirements, and simplifies the statistics and outcomes acquired. Diverse strategies are to be had for reducing the wide variety of dimensions, and those are based totally upon the application and the associated information set. The strategies include central factor assessment (PCA), characteristic desire, weighted length reduction, and Locality Sensitive Hashing (LSH). This paper provides a comparative evaluation of those strategies and discusses their strengths and obstacles. Textual image classification is crucial in various applications, such as document digitization and automatic language identification. Although ensemble learning has been increasingly utilized to improve the accuracy of deep learning models, the optimal approaches for this task are still under-explored. This research evaluates the effectiveness of ensemble learning techniques for textual image classification, focusing on combining Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) like MobileNetV2 and ResNet50. The dataset used in this study includes images in multiple languages, adding complexity to the classification task. By leveraging ensemble learning, we enhanced the performance of these models, achieving an accuracy of 77%, surpassing the individual CNN models. These findings suggest that ensemble learning can significantly boost the effectiveness of deep learning models in textual image classification tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we conduct a comparative analysis of LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) architectures, including GPU LSTM and Convolutional LSTM, for sentiment analysis tasks on an e-commerce dataset. The evaluation is based on precision, recall, and F1-score metrics for classifying positive and negative sentiments in product reviews. Both GPU LSTM and Convolutional LSTM models demonstrate strong performance in classifying positive sentiments. Moreover, these models achieve high precision, recall, and F1-score. However, they struggle with negative sentiment classification, exhibiting zero precision, recall, and F1-score for this class. Overall, both models achieve an accuracy of 0.97, indicating their effectiveness in sentiment analysis tasks. Furthermore, our study underscores the importance of further research to enhance the ability of the LSTM model to classify negative sentiments in e-commerce datasets accurately. © 2024 IEEE.
