The research aims to identify the age, plumage, and sex of bird species using standard Pre-trained Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (Pre-DCNNs). The proposed work involves collecting various bird images, which are then used for training and validating the pre-trained DCNNs. The dataset contains 200 images of four bird species. The dataset was split into twelve labeled classes of images based on age, plumage, and sex. The standard image manipulation techniques such as cropping, flipping, mirroring, rotating, shearing, and skewing were used as image augmentation techniques to increase the size of the proposed dataset. The proposed data is preprocessed, including feature extraction and data cleaning, to ensure the performance of the Pre-Trained DCNNs. The Pre-Trained DCNNs were trained on 90% of the dataset to recognize patterns in bird images. The accuracy of the pre-trained DCNNs was evaluated using metrics such as classification accuracy. The research acknowledged the advantages and limitations of the standard Pre-Trained DCNNs on the age, plumage, and sex of birds using the images. Also, it compares the performance of the Pre-Trained DCNNs on the proposed bird species image dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a novel spatial attention neural architecture search network (SANAS-Net), which incorporates a spatial attention mechanism to enhance the model’s ability to focus on critical regions within mammograms. By utilizing multi-head attention within transformer blocks, the model captures diverse spatial relationships and interactions between features. Positional embeddings are incorporated into the transformer blocks, further enriching the model’s capacity to understand global spatial context. Extensive experiments were conducted to validate the proposed methodology. SANAS-Net was shown to successfully identify attentive networks that demonstrate high performance in distinguishing malignant from benign breast cancer cases. The model achieved a test accuracy of 89.95%, significantly surpassing the performance of previously proposed algorithms for breast cancer detection using mammography images. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are essential for collecting and transmitting data in modern applications that rely on data, where effective network connectivity and coverage are crucial. The optimal placement of router nodes within WSNs is a fundamental challenge that significantly impacts network performance and reliability. Researchers have explored various approaches using metaheuristic algorithms to address these challenges and optimize WSN performance. This paper introduces a new hybrid algorithm, CFL-PSO, based on combining an enhanced Fick’s Law algorithm with comprehensive learning and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). CFL-PSO exploits the strengths of these techniques to strike a balance between network connectivity and coverage, ultimately enhancing the overall performance of WSNs. We evaluate the performance of CFL-PSO by benchmarking it against nine established algorithms, including the conventional Fick’s law algorithm (FLA), Sine Cosine Algorithm (SCA), Multi-Verse Optimizer (MVO), Salp Swarm Optimization (SSO), War Strategy Optimization (WSO), Harris Hawk Optimization (HHO), African Vultures Optimization Algorithm (AVOA), Capuchin Search Algorithm (CapSA), Tunicate Swarm Algorithm (TSA), and PSO. The algorithm’s performance is extensively evaluated using 23 benchmark functions to assess its effectiveness in handling various optimization scenarios. Additionally, its performance on WSN router node placement is compared against the other methods, demonstrating its competitiveness in achieving optimal solutions. These analyses reveal that CFL-PSO outperforms the other algorithms in terms of network connectivity, client coverage, and convergence speed. To further validate CFL-PSO’s effectiveness, experimental studies were conducted using different numbers of clients, routers, deployment areas, and transmission ranges. In the current digital era, that is marked by the enhanced use of information technology, there are also enhanced threats which are in the form of cybercrimes. This research deals with enhancing the cyber security through Support Vector Machines (SVMs) in threat detection in real time. SVMs are a class of machine learning algorithms favored for the accuracy and efficiency they provide when it comes to the classification processes;they would be very useful in fast and accurate finding of potential threats. This forms the basis of the study under which the authors propose a new approach using SVMs in a real time data mining system that can quickly detect anomalous activities across networks. Using the detection rates for different further commonly used machine learning models, we show the advantages of our concept to the development of SVMs in view of detection accuracy, velocity and resource demand. The findings demonstrate that the use of SVM based system can alleviate the false positive incident and improve the security situation of organizations. This research extends the field of cybersecurity by developing a customizable and transferable model that can be deployed in different contexts to strengthen existing defenses against the emerging and evolving cyber threats. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, novel cancer detection method using Kernel Based Fuzzy Simulation Model (KBFSM) represented with enhanced accuracy of 12%, considering MRI based breast cancer images. Developed framework, as suggested in this paper, Effectiveness and superiority of the suggested approach are proven by thorough testing on a variety of datasets and thorough assessment metrics, highlighting its capacity to produce accurate and nuanced segmentation results. Fuzzification and defuzzification of images using Fuzzy C means algorithm, speaks in favor of the proposed analysis, as tested over several dataset, owing to minute pixel intensity modification when associated with malignant tissues. Result is supported by histogram analysis, which paves the way of future research in the field of lung cancer using the same technique. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper provides a comprehensive survey of Contextual AI applications for analyzing political discourse on Twitter, focusing on the latest advancements in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning models. Analyzing Twitter data, with its informal language and rapid content generation, presents challenges like sarcasm, slang, and polarization. Contextual AI models, such as BERT and GPT-based architectures, offer significant improvements in political sentiment detection, emotion analysis, and bias identification. Key studies surveyed in this paper report high performance: the PoliBERT model achieved an F1 score of 0.95 and a precision of 0.96, while the sentiment analysis of political opinions showed balanced metrics with an F1 score of 0.89 and an accuracy of 0.88. A study on detecting political leanings achieved a 99% confidence level with an accuracy of 0.96 and ROC AUC of 0.95. These results demonstrate the potential of Contextual AI for accurately classifying political biases, real-time sentiment analysis, and handling complex language nuances. Future research should focus on real-time multilingual analysis, ethical considerations, and bias mitigation. This survey highlights the importance of Contextual AI in providing more precise, nuanced, and inclusive insights into political discourse on social media. © 2025 IEEE.

Breast Cancer accounts for a significant percentage of malignancy among women globally. It is a disorder where abnormal breast cells develop uncontrollably and form tumours when left untreated, the tumour could spread throughout the body and become fatal. So, early detection is critical for survival. The clinical outcomes of breast cancer can be significantly improved with an accurate and timely diagnosis. Significant advancements in breast cancer diagnosis and customized treatments have been made possible, by the emergence of Artificial Intelligence particularly in the field of image analysis, the K-Nearest Neighbors algorithm is one of the simplest and easily interpretable supervised ML algorithms, which can determine whether the cancer lumps are malignant or benign. KNN, SVM, and GRNN are machine learning algorithms that make use of an openly accessible dataset, features taken from images, data pre-processing techniques, and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) in order to improve accuracy and decrease diagnostic time. Artificial Intelligence can identify both missed cancers and breast tissue features, which in turn, can help to predict future cancer development. Some Artificial Intelligence algorithms excel at predicting patients with a high risk of interval cancer, which is aggressive. When no cancer was clinically detected by screening mammography, even Artificial Intelligence algorithms trained for short time horizons can forecast the chance of developing cancer for up to five years in the future. The WHO reports that low- and middle-income nations account for over 80% of fatalities from breast and cervical cancer. In the developing economic scenario of India, one in 28 women is likely to develop breast cancer. The Artificial Intelligence detection model is a cost-effective precautionary measure for the early detection of breast cancer in women. The data protection laws should be convenient enough to carry out the test with the informed consent of the patients
