A light bridge is a prominent structure commonly observed within a sunspot. Its presence usually triggers a wealth of dynamics in a sunspot, and has a lasting impact on sunspot evolution. However, the fundamental structure of light bridges is still not well understood. In this study, we used the high-resolution spectropolarimetry data obtained by the Solar Optical Telescope onboard the Hinode satellite to analyze the magnetic and thermal structure of a light bridge at AR 12838. We also combined the high-cadence 1700 Å channel data provided by the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly onboard the Solar Dynamic Observatory to study the dynamics on this bridge. We found that a pair of blue and red Doppler shift patches at two ends of this bridge, this pattern appears to be the convective motion directed by the horizontal component of the magnetic field aligned with the spine of this bridge. Paired upward and downward motions implies that the light bridge could have a two-legged or undulate magnetic field. Significant four minute oscillations in the emission intensity of the 1700 Å bandpass were detected at two ends, which had overlap with the paired blue and red shift patches. The oscillatory signals at the light bridge and the penumbra were highly correlated with each other. Although they are separated in space at the photosphere, the periodicity seems to have a common origin from the underneath. Therefore, we infer that the light bridge and penumbra could share a common magnetic source and become fragmented at the photosphere by magneto-convection. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. —Small object tracking becomes an increasingly important task, which however has been largely unexplored in computer vision. The great challenges stem from the facts that: 1) small objects show extreme vague and variable appearances, and 2) they tend to be lost easier as compared to normal-sized ones due to the shaking of lens. In this paper, we propose a novel aggregation signature suitable for small object tracking, especially aiming for the challenge of sudden and large drift. We make three-fold contributions in this work. First, technically, we propose a new descriptor, named aggregation signature, based on saliency, able to represent highly distinctive features for small objects. Second, theoretically, we prove that the proposed signature matches the foreground object more accurately with a high probability. Third, experimentally, the aggregation signature achieves a high performance on multiple datasets, outperforming the state-of-the-art methods by large margins. Moreover, we contribute with two newly collected benchmark datasets, i.e., small90 and small112, for visually small object tracking. The datasets will be available in https://***/bczhangbczhang/. Optimal denial-of-service attack energy management over an SINR-based network

We consider a scenario in which a DoS attacker with the limited power resource and the purpose of degrading the system performance, jams a wireless network through which the packet from a sensor is sent to a remote estimator to estimate the system state. To degrade the estimation quality most effectively with a given energy budget, the attacker aims to solve the problem of how much power to obstruct the channel each time, which is the recently proposed optimal attack energy management problem. The existing works are built on an ideal network model in which the packet dropout never occurs when the attack is absent. To encompass wireless transmission losses, we introduce the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio-based network. First we focus on the case when the attacker employs the constant power level. To maximize the expected terminal estimation error at the remote estimator, we provide some sufficient conditions for the existence of an explicit solution to the optimal static attack energy management problem and the solution is constructed. Compared with the existing result in which corresponding sufficient conditions work only when the system matrix is normal, the obtained conditions in this paper are viable for a general system and shown to be more relaxed. For the other important index of system performance, the average expected estimation error, the associated sufficient conditions are also derived based on a different analysis approach with the existing work. And a feasible method is presented for both indexes to seek the optimal constant attack power level when the system fails to meet the proposed sufficient conditions. Then when the real-time ACK information can be acquired, the attacker desires a time-varying power attack strategy, based on which a Markov decision process (MDP) based algorithm is designed to solve the optimal dynamic attack energy management problem. This paper is concerned with developing a novel distributed Kalman filtering algorithm over wireless sensor networks based on randomized consensus strategy. Compared with centralized algorithm, distributed filtering techniques require less computation per sensor and lead to more robust estimation since they simply use the information from the neighboring nodes in the network. However, poor local sensor estimation caused by limited observability and network topology changes which interfere the global consensus are challenging issues. Motivated by this observation, we propose a novel randomized gossip based distributed Kalman filtering algorithm. Information exchange and computation in the proposed algorithm can be carried out in an arbitrarily connected network of nodes. In addition, the computational burden can be distributed for a sensor which communicates with a stochastically selected neighbor at each clock step under schemes of gossip algorithm. In this case, the error covariance matrix changes stochastically at every clock step, thus the convergence is considered in a probabilistic sense. We provide the mean square convergence analysis of the proposed algorithm. Under a sufficient condition, we show that the proposed algorithm is quite appealing as it achieves better mean square error performance theoretically than the noncooperative decentralized Kalman filtering algorithm. Besides, considering the limited computation, communication and energy resources in the wireless sensor networks, we propose an optimization problem which minimizes the average expected state estimation error based on the proposed algorithm. To solve the proposed problem efficiently, we transform it into a convex optimization problem. And a sub-optimal solution is attained. The new information about potential biological virus is present in the network public opinion, the spread of hot-spot biological viruses' events on network easier to tap the potential biological virus characteristics, and with the events as public opinion analysis axis, it is more targeted. The discovery and tracking of biological virus public opinion event is hot spot of public opinion research area. The discovery of new events is mainly dependent on the Topic Detection and Tracking (TDT). The paper focuses on the construction of the project-level public opinion analysis available distributed systems, proposed a new event discovery and tracking methods, introduced the concept of public opinion task allocation mechanism, defined the rule of public opinion information marks, proposed domain ontology-based event structure model, and used the regular model of area ontology to vertical search engine. There are two major drawbacks in traditional software development process, to follow the database as the core of the software development pattern, it is difficult to achieve a high degree of flexibility of the system and meet the changing requirements of reconstruction. And domain software with complex business, there is no reasonable means to understand the needs of the system, and difficult to build a good business system to avoid the risk of change and upgrade reconstruction of the software, the system can not be fully respected business practice. In the process of the traditional software development, facing the complex business system requirements, due to the complexity of the business, it is repentant to make failure for perfect modeling mechanism of applications domain. As so, builded systems also lack the expansion needs for the business change, and in the development process often causing the disjoint in requirements, design and realization, confusing the whole system development process. This paper studies the strategy for building a platform based on Domain Driven Design, give the guidance scheme for realization of Domain analysis technology and the Domain Driven Design platform, and explores the roots of software process consistence on Domain Driven Design based platform. © 2014. Network interconnection, information interoperability, and crowds interaction on the Internet could inspire better computation models than Turing machine, since that human plays an important factor in Internet computing, so that the human-machine and machine-machine interactions have evolved to be the kernel of Internet computing. Internet has not been simply equivalent to a virtual huge computer, or a set of computers. On the Internet, human's behaviors are uncertain, the interactions and influence among people are also uncertain. These uncertainties cannot be described by Turing machine and traditional interaction machine. As a new computation platform, Internet computing requires new theories and methods. By combining topology in mathematics with the field theory in physics, we propose the topological potential approach, which set up a virtual field by the topological space to reflect individual activities, local effects and preferential attachments. This approach can be used to research the emergence of collective intelligence. Here, we introduce three case studies to illustrate the analysis on the collective intelligence on the Internet and discuss some potential applications of the topological potential approach. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

Almost all of the progress of artificial intelligence in the last 50 years has been based on the Turing model and Von Neumann architecture. Researchers have always tried to put the human intelligence into machines by the ways of algorithms, codes or symbols that could be understood and executed by machines, thus, we may be bounded to Turing model too tightly. In Internet and World Wide Web and developing cloud computing, network has changed the role from a single huge Turing machine or sum of some Turing machines to the collective intelligence, where the inputs or outputs of nodes in network are happening not only among computers, but also among people, such that Internet has been beyond Turing machine. Users in Internet who own similar interests may cluster naturally into scalable and boundless communities with uncertainty, where online interaction avoids the difficulty of common sense representation in traditional artificial intelligence. Furthermore, collective intelligence may emerge from the crowds interaction. Those would become the new research frontiers in intelligence science.

We propose joint channel sensing, probing, and accessing schemes for secondary users in cognitive radio networks. Our method has time and space complexity O(N·k) for a network with N channels and k secondary users, while applying classic methods requires exponential time complexity. We prove that, even when channel states are selected by adversary (thus non-stochastic), it results in a total regret uniformly upper bounded by Θ(√TN log N), w.h.p, for communication lasts for T timeslots. Our protocol can be implemented in a distributed manner due to the nonstochastic channel assumption. Our experiments show that our schemes achieve almost optimal throughput compared with an optimal static strategy, and perform significantly better than previous methods in many settings.
