Designing blockchain based secure autonomous vehicular internet of things (IoT) architecture with efficient smart contracts

The future of autonomous vehicles is exciting and holds significant potential for transforming transportation. The future is bright, but these vehicles require a high degree of connectivity complex software to function effectively. This connectivity, however, can also create a pathway for cyberattacks. If a hacker gains access to a connected vehicle, they may be able to control its systems, steal data, or cause it to malfunction. Additionally, the software systems might have flaws or vulnerabilities that intruders could take advantage of. The paper describe how blockchain technology can help to create a tamper-proof and transparent system that enables secure sharing of data between the nodes of autonomous vehicular (AV) network. A smart contract is utilized to establish predefined rules and conditions for data sharing and access. The paper proposes a efficient approach for securing the information of AVs and improving the safety and reliability of AV networks. In this proposed work, smart contracts are implemented using solidity language and deployed a blockchain using Ganache, and truffle development framework to create a test system while MATLAB is utilized for analysis. Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) in hospitals are generally handled by a centralized cloud provider. However, it creates one solitary area of vulnerability, and who are the real owners may lose track of them. To protect the sharing of EMRs among various entities involved in the smart healthcare system, this study seeks to build a smart contract-based access control system on top of a distributed ledger with blockchain. For this, we recommend using smart contracts in four different ways for user authentication. In the proposed system, the hashes of the EMRs are created and added to the Ethereum blockchain. The EMRs themselves are encrypted and saved in the cloud utilizing the cryptographic functions of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Edwards-Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (EdDSA), considering both the massive volume of patient data and the ledger's block size. Performance evaluation with a private Ethereum system is used to observe how well the recommended access control architecture works in the real-time smart healthcare system. Voice is the king of communication in wireless cellular network (WCN). Again, WCNs provide two types of calls, i.e., new call (NC) and handoff call (HC). Generally, HCs have higher priority than NCs because call dropping gives negative impact to users as compared to call blocking. So, to handle this problem some channels are reserved for HCs. If more channels are reserved for HCs, then handoff call dropping probability (HCDP) decreases at the same time as new call blocking probability (NCBP) increases;if fewer channels are reserved for HCs, HCDP increases and NCBP decreases. If channels are reserved for HCs by considering target HCDP then HCDP will be below the target and NCBP will be minimum for that target. So, keeping this in mind in this paper, we propose a mathematical model that estimates optimal number of guard channels (GCs) for HCs by considering target HCDP and keeping NCBP minimum. The mathematical model proposed assume static traffic parameters. However, in reality, the user traffic is dynamic and usually inherited through its testbed implementation. To obtain optimal performance we propose an adaptive GC reservation scheme by considering hard handoff constraint while implementing this model through testbed. Finally, we have verified testbed results with those of the model-based approach applying the parameters of different Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) standards to evaluate its applicability to real systems. Blockchain technology has shown immense promise in revolutionizing various industries by offering secure and open decentralized solutions. Popular blockchain networks still struggle with scalability, which limits their potential for widespread adoption. A suggested alternative, sharding, divides the blockchain into more manageable, smaller chunks to boost throughput and transaction capacity. Sharding is the extensively used approach to the trilemma of simultaneously attaining decentralization, security, and scalability in traditional blockchain systems. Although sharding has many advantages, it also poses problems with inter-shard communication and data consistency. The focus of this thesis is to explore how interoperability between shards can be leveraged to enhance scalability in sharding blockchains. To maintain good air quality, the observation of pollution levels framework estimates a variety of air contaminants in various locations. In the current circumstances, it is the most desirable concern. The release of hazardous gases into the environment by businesses, vehicles, and other sources pollutes the air. These days, the level of pollution in the air has surpassed fundamental levels, and the amount of contamination in several major urban areas has exceeded the public authority’s air quality list criteria. It has a tremendous impact on a person’s health. With advances in machine learning technology, it is now possible to forecast the future of toxins based on historical data. In this paper, we described a device that can collect the current toxic gases. With the help of the previous records of toxic gases, we executed a computation using machine learning techniques to detect the contamination in the air. It would be a good idea to use machine learning to forecast the future contamination information. The information gathered is saved in an Excel document for further analysis. Many organizations use tendering including government to obtain goods and services from the providers of the service and manufacturing companies. There has been an advanced evolution in the process from traditional hardcopy-based to modern electronic-based tendering. Since in the present scenario Internet is being used there are many security implications that can be associated with it. Blockchain having decentralization of information and other features like immutability can be used as a step to mitigate the implications. In this paper, a distributed e-tendering system based on smart contracts and hybrid cryptography is explored. The design consists of sections based on the way the tendering and bidding organization participates like creation and publication of tender by the tendering organization, bidding process by the bidder, evaluations of the proposed bid, and selecting the best one to declare the winner. Layout is a key link in web page design. In addition to PC, there are a large number of mobile terminals for accessing web pages. When the fixed layout is migrated to the mobile terminal, the user experience is likely to be insufficient. For these devices with different resolutions, CSS3 technology adopts different methods to solve the problem. This paper proposes a responsive layout solution based on HTML 5+ CSS3. First, use HTML5 semantic structural tags to transform DIV tags with semantic requirements in fixed layouts. Then through CSS3's media query and flexible layout, we design the responsive layout of the web page layout, and set the responsive code for pictures and text. The experimental research shows that this scheme realizes the free switching and smooth transition of web pages between different terminals and improves the user experience. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Optimal Production Capacity Matching for Blockchain-Enabled Manufacturing Collaboration With the Iterative Double Auction Method

The increased demand for personalized customization calls for new production modes to enhance collaborations among a wide range of manufacturing practitioners who unnecessarily trust each other. In this article, a blockchain-enabled manufacturing collaboration framework is proposed, with a focus on the production capacity matching problem for blockchainbased peer-to-peer(P2P) collaboration. First, a digital model of production capacity description is built for trustworthy and transparent sharing over the blockchain. Second, an optimization problem is formulated for P2P production capacity matching with objectives to maximize both social welfare and individual benefits of all participants. Third, a feasible solution based on an iterative double auction mechanism is designed to determine the optimal price and quantity for production capacity matching with a lack of personal information. It facilitates automation of the matching process while protecting users' privacy via blockchainbased smart contracts. Finally, simulation results from the Hyperledger Fabric-based prototype show that the proposed approach increases social welfare by 1.4% compared to the Bayesian game-based approach, makes all participants profitable,and achieves 90% fairness of enterprises.
