This paper presents a synthesis of current-mode PI, PD and PID controllers employing current controlled current differential buffer amplifiers (CCCDBAs). The features of these controllers are that: the output parameters can be electronically/independently controlled by adjusting corresponding bias currents in the proportional, integral, and deviation controllers;circuit description of the PID controller is simply formulated, it consists of four CCCDBAs cooperating with two grounded capacitors, and PI and PD controllers are composed of three CCCCDBAs and a grounded capacitor. Without any external resistor, the proposed circuits are very suitable to develop into integrated circuit architecture. The given results from the PSpice simulation agree well with the theoretical anticipation. The approximate power consumption in a closed loop control system consisting of the PI, PD and PID controller with low-pass filter passive plant are 4.03 mW, 4.85 mW and 5.71 mW, respectively, at ±1.5 V power supply voltages.

Based on the homotopy analysis method, a general analytic technique for strongly nonlinear problems, a Maple package of automated derivation (ADHO) for periodic nonlinear oscillation systems is presented. This Maple package is valid for periodic oscillation systems in rather general, and can automatically deliver the accurate approximations of the frequency co and the mean of motion δof a nonlinear periodic oscillator. Based on the homotopy analysis method which is valid even for highly nonlinear problems, this Maple package can give accurate approximate expressions even for nonlinear oscillation systems with strong nonlinearity. Besides, the package is user-friendly: One just needs to input a governing equation and initial conditions, and then gets satisfied analytic approximations in few seconds. Several different types of examples are given in this paper to illustrate the validity of this Maple package. Information technology (IT) supports companies' business processes and decision making through the use of technologies and tools that are provided by suppliers. Companies that are suppliers and consumers establish relationships through contracts of purchasing products and consulting, for example. These relationships, i.e., the companies involved and the information exchanged between the parties are considered elements of Software Ecosystems (SECOs). All of these elements can be considered SECO assets and need to be supported via SECO governance since their organization and evolution represent an IT architecture. So, IT companies or their IT divisions can use the ISO/IEC 19770 standard for Software Asset Management (SAM) in order to control costs and optimize software investments. In this sense, this paper describes a SECO Governance approach for enabling an IT architecture based on SAM.

With the explosive growth of information, more and more organizations are deploying private cloud systems or renting public cloud systems to process big data. However, there is no existing benchmark suite for evaluating cloud performance on the whole system level. To the best of our knowledge, this paper proposes the first benchmark suite CloudRank-D to benchmark and rank cloud computing sys- tems that are shared for running big data applications. We an- alyze the limitations of previous metrics, e.g., floating point operations, for evaluating a cloud computing system, and propose two simple metrics: data processed per second and data processed per Joule as two complementary metrics for evaluating cloud computing systems. We detail the design of CloudRank-D that considers representative applications, di- versity of data characteristics, and dynamic behaviors of both applications and system software platforms. Through experi- ments, we demonstrate the advantages of our proposed met- tics. In several case studies, we evaluate two small-scale de- ployments of cloud computing systems using CloudRank-D.
