In this paper we present a system architecture and suitable control methodologies for the management and control of Distributed Generation (DG) units, Renewable Energy Resources (RES), Active Demand (AD) and storage units, being these Electric Vehicles (EV) or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). Within the proposed platform, control methodologies allow to adapt unit generation profiles and active loads to ensure economic benefits to each actor. The key aspect is the organization in two levels of control: at residential level a Smart Home controller (SHC) monitors and controls smart appliances while at higher level a Community Energy management System (CEMS) coordinates generation units, negotiates consumption with SHCs and sets power grid energy withdrawals. Proposed control methodologies involve the solution of a Walrasian market equilibrium and the design of a distributed solution of a dynamic programming problem.

The aim of this work is to create application for mobile devices such as PDAs running under Windows Mobile. With this application, and PDA it will be able to process the analog data measured by the A / D converter and display it in graphs. Use of the converter has four analog inputs. These are converted into digital form and transmitted via the communication interface Ethernet to WiFi router. Application running on a PDA uses WiFi connection to download measured data and to processes them. The advantage of this solution is particularly small size and mobility of the PDA. This eliminates the need to transfer the measuring device. This makes a possibility of usage wide especially in the manufacturing industry in the halls where it should be measured in several places at the same time, and the values compared between each other.

This project is carring out of design and development of software which is able to determine the ideal method of passing cars sweep so that the car is capable of a corner as quickly as possible without compromising safety to crew, or there is a deterioration in passenger comfort, or damage to tangible property transported. Thus a virtual model of a situation such as a desktop application programming in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 was created. The project is to create an application that converts the audio signal from your computer microphone to record format MP3. Application is designed to record and preserve the audio recordings to a file in a format of lossy compression of audio file compression based on MPEG algorithm (Motion Picture Experts Group). While maintaining a relatively high quality it can reduce the size of audio files in CD quality at about one tenth, for speech, however, it gives much worse results. The advantage of this application is the ability to set frequency range (the sampling) and set the width of the stream, which indicates the number of bits, by which a second of record is registred with. This paper deals with the battery life of mobile devices and PDAs at various load levels of the battery. For such testing of PDA battery life, there are many programs in ensuring the current battery status. Our developed appplications can determine the battery at defined time intervals and display its status on the device display in numeric format XX%, where the measured value is stored in an external file in XLS format. Addressing problem is designed to store the measured data of the appplication in tabular form, for better evaluation performance and the subsequent effect on the battery. Testing is focused on the impact of various device appplications, that means from low-end appplications to very demanding appplications with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, for the battery status.

The environment of VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) is a fuzzy random environment. When determining the order quantity, the vendors meet the uncertainty in market demand and supply. However, the classic EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) model assumes the demand as a certain value and does not take into account the uncertainty of supply. Therefore, the vendors can not accurately determine the optimal order quantity by using the classic EOQ. This paper, based on the fuzzy random theory, takes into account both the uncertainty of demand and supply. Demand and on-time delivery rate are characterized as fuzzy random variables. The traditional EOQ model is extended, and the fuzzy random chance-constrained order quantity model of VMI with the balance of supply and demand is established. The results show the optimal order quantity can be obtained. The model solves the problem of on-demand ordering in supply chain of long production (order) lead time in the general circumstances.

In this paper, a hybrid control approach for low temperature combustion engines is presented. The identification as well as the controller design are demonstrated. In order to identify piecewise affine models, we propose to use correlation clustering algorithms, which are developed and used in the field of data mining. We outline the identification of the low temperature combustion engine from measurement data based on correlation clustering. The output of the identified model reproduces the measurement data of the engine very well. Based on this piecewise affine model of the process, a hybrid model predictive controller is considered. It can be shown that the hybrid contoller is able to produce better control results than a model predictive controller using a single linear model. The main advantage is that the hybrid controller is able to manage the system characteristics of different operating points for each prediction step.
