The rapidly increasing popularity of mobile devices has changed the methods with which people access various network services and increased net-work traffic *** the past few decades,network traffic identification has been a research hotspot in the field of network management and security ***,as more network services use encryption technology,network traffic identification faces many *** classic machine learning methods can solve many problems that cannot be solved by port-and payload-based methods,manually extract features that are frequently updated is time-consuming and *** learning has good automatic feature learning capabilities and is an ideal method for network traffic identification,particularly encrypted traffic identification;Existing recognition methods based on deep learning primarily use supervised learning methods and rely on many labeled ***,in real scenarios,labeled samples are often difficult to *** paper adjusts the structure of the auxiliary classification generation adversarial network(ACGAN)so that it can use unlabeled samples for training,and use the wasserstein distance instead of the original cross entropy as the loss function to achieve semisupervised *** results show that the identification accuracy of ISCX and USTC data sets using the proposed method yields markedly better performance when the number of labeled samples is small compared to that of convolutional neural network(CNN)based classifier.

Implicit regularization induced by gradient optimization is an important way to understand the generalization in neural networks. Recent theory explains implicit regularization over the model of deep matrix factorization (DMF) and analyzes the trajectory of discrete gradient dynamics in the optimization process. These discrete gradient dynamics can mathematically characterize the practical learning rate of adaptive gradient optimization such as RMSProp. Discrete gradient dynamics analysis has been successfully applied to shallow networks but encounters the difficulty of complex computation for deep networks. In this work, we introduce another discrete gradient dynamics approach to explain implicit regularization of RMSProp, i.e. landscape analysis. It mainly focuses on gradient regions like saddle points and local minima. We investigate that increasing learning rates benefit saddle point escaping (SPE) stages. In elucidating implicit regularization through the convergence of RMSProp, we prove that for a rank-R matrix reconstruction, DMF will converge to a second-order critical point after R stages of SPE. This conclusion is further experimentally verified on a low-rank matrix reconstruction problem. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Federated analysis can help perform large-scale analyses using neuroimaging datasets across various research groups overcoming the limitations of institutional data-sharing policies, privacy or regulatory concerns as it requires no data sharing. In this work, we employ a federated neuromark algorithm to generate independent component analysis (ICA) time courses data from functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data and feed it to a federated deep neural network (DNN) model to perform classification of schizophrenia patients versus controls.

The aim of this study is to present incompressible, steady entropy optimized second-order slip velocity free convective nanofluid flow along Darcy–Forchheimer porous medium through neural network backpropagation with Bayesian Regularization Approach (NNBPBRA) under the influence of heat sink/source and viscous dissipation. The viscous dissipation effects and radiative heat flux are also employed in the presented fluid flow system. Nanomaterials are silicon dioxide and molybdenum disulfide, using water as the base fluid. To obtain the reference dataset for NNBPBRA, the ODEs which are obtained after simplifications of original fluid flow system in terms of PDEs with the appropriate application of transformation mechanism are solved numerically using state of the art numerical method. The outcome in terms of solution and error analyses plots for the modification of different parameters are interpreted using these reference datasets. The error histograms, regression analyses, and MSE indices are used to validate the performance of NNBP-BRA. In the presence of slip parameters and stratification variables, the skin friction coefficient, i.e. surface drag force, and heat transfer rate, i.e. Nusselt number, are also evaluated. The outcomes show that as the Brinkman number increases, the rate of entropy formation increases, but the temperature falls as the stratification parameter increases. © 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

This paper describes our approaches to solving the MentalRiskES task, which belongs to the IberLEF (Iberian Languages Evaluation Forum) shared task. The task aims to identify the eating disorders and depression of a user using a series of Telegram messages. Our proposed system uses the traditional TFiDF method to represent the messages and then utilizes these representations as input for machine learning models. The best results for classification were obtained using the Naive Bayes classifier, while in the regression task, the best models were Gradient Boots Regressor and Linear Regressor. Despite its simplicity, we demonstrated that our traditional approaches can still achieve competitive results in recent NLP tasks, obtaining the best results in the case of detecting depression and eating disorders. © 2023 Copyright for this paper by its authors. This article examines the security and privacy concerns associated with the integration of blockchain technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) in communication systems. As the IoT continues to grow and evolve, there is an increasing need to ensure the security and privacy of the vast amounts of data generated and exchanged between connected devices. Blockchain technology offers promising solutions for enhancing security and privacy in communication systems; however, it also presents its own set of challenges and vulnerabilities. This article explores the existing literature on the topic and analyzes the materials and methods used in previous studies. The results and discussions delve into the key security and privacy concerns in communication systems with blockchain and IoT, including data integrity, authentication, and confidentiality, scalability, and consensus mechanisms. Finally, the article concludes with recommendations and future directions for addressing these concerns and advancing the security and privacy of communication systems in the context of blockchain technology and the IoT.

Robin: A Novel Method to Produce Robust Interpreters for Deep Learning-Based Code Classifiers

Deep learning has been widely used in source code classification tasks, such as code classification according to their functionalities, code authorship attribution, and vulnerability detection. Unfortunately, the black-box nature of deep learning makes it hard to interpret and understand why a classifier (i.e., classification model) makes a particular prediction on a given example. This lack of interpretability (or explainability) might have hindered their adoption by practitioners because it is not clear when they should or should not trust a classifier's prediction. The lack of interpretability has motivated a number of studies in recent years. However, existing methods are neither robust nor able to cope with out-of-distribution examples. In this paper, we propose a novel method to produce Robust interpreters for a given deep learning-based code classifier;the method is dubbed Robin. The key idea behind Robin is a novel hybrid structure combining an interpreter and two approximators, while leveraging the ideas of adversarial training and data augmentation. Experimental results show that on average the interpreter produced by Robin achieves a 6.11% higher fidelity (evaluated on the classifier), 67.22% higher fidelity (evaluated on the approximator), and 15.87x higher robustness than that of the three existing interpreters we evaluated. Moreover, the interpreter is 47.31% less affected by out-of-distribution examples than that of LEMNA. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Smart cities are cities that are designed to be more efficient, sustainable, and connected. As our cities grow and become more complex, it's important to find new ways to address the challenges that arise, such as security, privacy, and mobility. This is where mobile cloud computing and biometric authentication come in. Mobile cloud computing is a way to provide cloud computing services to mobile devices, which means people can access services and data from anywhere and at any time. Biometric authentication is a method of identifying people based on their unique physical or behavioral characteristics, like fingerprints, facial recognition, or voice recognition. These two technologies can be combined to create a secure and personalized environment for residents and visitors in smart cities. By using mobile devices, IoT devices, wireless sensor networks, and edge computing, we can collect real-time data that can be used for big data analytics and machine learning. This means we can optimize city services, like traffic management, waste management, or energy consumption, and enhance the quality of life for people living in smart cities. However, the use of these technologies also poses significant security and privacy risks, so it's important to design systems that are secure and privacy-preserving. This requires interdisciplinary research and collaboration between experts in different fields. In summary, mobile cloud computing and biometric authentication have the potential to transform smart cities by creating a more secure and personalized environment for residents and visitors. But we must also be mindful of the potential risks and work together to address them.

Inferring Causality from Time Series data based on Structural Causal Model and its application to Neural Connectomics

Inferring causation from time series data is of scientific interest in different disciplines, particularly in neural connectomics. While different approaches exist in the literature with parametric modeling assumptions, we focus on a non-parametric model for time series satisfying a Markovian structural causal model with stationary distribution and without concurrent effects. We show that the model structure can be used to its advantage to obtain an elegant algorithm for causal inference from time series based on conditional dependence tests, coined Causal Inference in Time Series (CITS) algorithm. We describe Pearson's partial correlation and Hilbert-Schmidt criterion as candidates for such conditional dependence tests that can be used in CITS for the Gaussian and non-Gaussian settings, respectively. We prove the mathematical guarantee of the CITS algorithm in recovering the true causal graph, under standard mixing conditions on the underlying time series. We also conduct a comparative evaluation of performance of CITS with other existing methodologies in simulated datasets. We then describe the utlity of the methodology in neural connectomics - in inferring causal functional connectivity from time series of neural activity, and demonstrate its application to a real neurobiological dataset of electro-physiological recordings from the mouse visual cortex recorded by Neuropixel probes.
