In recent years,the growth of female employees in the commercial market and industries has *** a result,some people think travelling to distant and isolated locations during odd hours generates new threats to women’s *** exponential increase in assaults and attacks on women,on the other hand,is posing a threat to women’s growth,development,and *** the time of the attack,it appears the women were immobilized and needed immediate *** self-defense isn’t sufficient against abuse;a new technological solution is desired and can be used as quickly as hitting a switch or *** proposed Women Safety Gadget(WSG)aims to design a wearable safety device model based on Internet-of-Things(IoT)and Cloud *** is designed in three layers,namely layer-1,having an android app;layer-2,with messaging and location tracking system;and layer-3,which updates information in the cloud *** can detect an unsafe condition by the pressure sensor of the finger on the artificial nail,consequently diffuses a pepper spray,and automatically notifies the saved closest contacts and police station through messaging and location *** has a response time of 1000 ms once the nail is pressed;the average time for pulse rate measure is 0.475 s,and diffusing the pepper spray is 0.2–0.5 *** average activation time is 2.079 s.

Autonomous embodied navigation task generation from natural language dialogues

Robots are increasingly being deployed in densely populated environments, such as homes, hotels, and office buildings, where they rely on explicit instructions from humans to perform tasks. However, complex tasks often require multiple instructions and prolonged monitoring, which can be time-consuming and demanding for users. Despite this, there is limited research on enabling robots to autonomously generate tasks based on real-life scenarios. Advanced intelligence necessitates robots to autonomously observe and analyze their environment and then generate tasks autonomously to fulfill human requirements without explicit commands. To address this gap, we propose the autonomous generation of navigation tasks using natural language dialogues. Specifically, a robot autonomously generates tasks by analyzing dialogues involving multiple persons in a real office environment to facilitate the completion of item transportation between various *** propose the leveraging of a large language model(LLM) through chain-of-thought prompting to generate a navigation sequence for a robot from dialogues. We also construct a benchmark dataset consisting of 625 multiperson dialogues using the generation capability of LLMs. Evaluation results and real-world experiments in an office building demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Transaction transmission model for blockchain channels based on non-cooperative games

In blockchain networks, transactions can be transmitted through channels. The existing transmission methods depend on their routing information. If a node randomly chooses a channel to transmit a transaction, the transmission may be aborted due to insufficient funds(also called balance) or a low transmission rate. To increase the success rate and reduce transmission delay across all transactions, this work proposes a transaction transmission model for blockchain channels based on non-cooperative game *** balance, channel states, and transmission probability are fully considered. This work then presents an optimized channel transaction transmission algorithm. First, channel balances are analyzed and suitable channels are selected if their balance is sufficient. Second, a Nash equilibrium point is found by using an iterative sub-gradient method and its related channels are then used to transmit transactions. The proposed method is compared with two state-of-the-art approaches: Silent Whispers and Speedy Murmurs. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves transmission success rate, reduces transmission delay,and effectively decreases transmission overhead in comparison with its two competitive peers.

Various organizations store data online rather than on physical *** the number of user’s data stored in cloud servers increases,the attack rate to access data from cloud servers also *** researchers worked on different algorithms to protect cloud data from replay *** of the papers used a technique that simultaneously detects a full-message and partial-message replay *** study presents the development of a TKN(Text,Key and Name)cryptographic algorithm aimed at protecting data from replay *** program employs distinct ways to encrypt plain text[P],a user-defined Key[K],and a Secret Code[N].The novelty of the TKN cryptographic algorithm is that the bit value of each text is linked to another value with the help of the proposed algorithm,and the length of the cipher text obtained is twice the length of the original *** the scenario that an attacker executes a replay attack on the cloud server,engages in cryptanalysis,or manipulates any data,it will result in automated modification of all associated values inside the *** mechanism has the benefit of enhancing the detectability of replay ***,the attacker cannot access data not included in any of the papers,regardless of how effective the attack strategy *** the end of paper,the proposed algorithm’s novelty will be compared with different algorithms,and it will be discussed how far the proposed algorithm is better than all other algorithms.

Prediction of strength properties of concrete under the influence of recycled aggregate using machine learning models

The upsurge in urbanization is depleting natural resources due to the wide usage of aggregates in construction, posing a menace to further progress. If the contemporary state persists, it becomes a threat for further progress. As an initiative to preserve the natural resources, recycled aggregate is employed as a partial additive of fine aggregate, this practice endorses sustainability but demands a cautious investigation of its effect on concrete strength. Predicting the strength characteristics of concrete becomes crucial in this situation. Machine Learning (ML) algorithms estimate these properties, enabling engineers to evaluate and enhance the concrete mix with recycled materials, confirming durability and performance without solely depending on outdated testing methods The proposed work attempts how ML algorithms have been utilized to forecast the strength properties of concrete. Input samples were collected from the experimental setup for three grades of concrete (M15, M20, M25) with four various proportions (5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) at 7, 14, 21 and 28 ages of curing excluding the conventional mix. The ML models are developed by training the collected laboratory samples with respect to four parameters– cement, fine aggregate (FA), coarse aggregate (CA) and recycled aggregate (RA). The trained models predict the three properties of concrete– compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength. The test outcomes are further validated using statistical measures such as correlation coefficient– R2, Mean Square Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) to assess the performance of the model. The performance evaluation of the proposed approach shows that The Support Vector Regressor outperforms the other ML models, achieving an R² value of about 90% and showing a reduced error rate in terms of MSE and MAE. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

EAMR-Net: A multiscale effective spatial and cross-channel attention network for retinal vessel segmentation

Delineation of retinal vessels in fundus images is essential for detecting a range of eye disorders. An automated technique for vessel segmentation can assist clinicians and enhance the efficiency of the diagnostic process. Traditional methods fail to extract multiscale information, discard unnecessary information, and delineate thin vessels. In this paper, a novel residual U-Net architecture that incorporates multi-scale feature learning and effective attention is proposed to delineate the retinal vessels precisely. Since drop block regularization performs better than drop out in preventing overfitting, drop block was used in this study. A multi-scale feature learning module was added instead of a skip connection to learn multi-scale features. A novel effective attention block was proposed and integrated with the decoder block to obtain precise spatial and channel information. Experimental findings indicated that the proposed model exhibited outstanding performance in retinal vessel delineation. The sensitivities achieved for DRIVE, STARE, and CHASE_DB datasets were 0.8293, 0.8151 and 0.8084, respectively. © 2024the Author(s).

HViTML: Hybrid vision transformer with machine learning-based classification model for glaucomatous eye

Glaucoma is currently one of the most significant causes of permanent blindness. Fundus imaging is the most popular glaucoma screening method because of the compromises it has to make in terms of portability, size, and cost. In recent years, convolution neural networks (CNNs) have revolutionized computer vision. Convolution is a "local" CNN technique that is only applicable to a small region surrounding an image. Vision Transformers (ViT) use self-attention, which is a "global" activity since it collects information from the entire image. As a result, the ViT can successfully gather distant semantic relevance from an image. This study examined several optimizers, including Adamax, SGD, RMSprop, Adadelta, Adafactor, Nadam, and Adagrad. With 1750 Healthy and Glaucoma images in the IEEE fundus image dataset and 4800 healthy and glaucoma images in the LAG fundus image dataset, we trained and tested the ViT model on these datasets. Additionally, the datasets underwent image scaling, auto-rotation, and auto-contrast adjustment via adaptive equalization during preprocessing. The results demonstrated that preparing the provided dataset with various optimizers improved accuracy and other performance metrics. Additionally, according to the results, the Nadam Optimizer improved accuracy in the adaptive equalized preprocessing of the IEEE dataset by up to 97.8% and in the adaptive equalized preprocessing of the LAG dataset by up to 92%, both of which were followed by auto rotation and image resizing processes. In addition to integrating our vision transformer model with the shift tokenization model, we also combined ViT with a hybrid model that consisted of six different models, including SVM, Gaussian NB, Bernoulli NB, Decision Tree, KNN, and Random Forest, based on which optimizer was the most successful for each dataset. Empirical results show that the SVM Model worked well and improved accuracy by up to 93% with precision of up to 94% in the adaptive equalization preprocess
