The tremendous growth in the usage of internet technology has pawed way for advancement of diverse wireless networks. One of the domain of wireless networks that have gathered a lot of attention from researchers is Wireless Mesh Network (WMN). WMN is preferred because of its numerous advantages like better coverage area, communication with other networks, cost effectiveness, increased network capacity and is compatible with all IEEE 802.11 standards. Low Capacity, management of the traffic and gateway nodes and end to end fairness problem are the major issues in the employment of WMNs. In order to reduce the existing challenges in WMNs load balancing plays a vital role. In our work we have proposed a load balancing protocol to overcome the problem of congestion using residual energy and delay. The simulation results are derived and they prove that our proposed protocol enhances the performance and life time of WMN compared to standard protocol with reference to residual energy, throughput, packets received jitter and delay. © 2019 IEEE.

Viral epidemics have posed a problem for quick development of drugs and vaccines to control the menace. A case in point is the Ebola viral disease with high fatality ratio in Africa. It is making a comeback in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), after its rampage in West Africa in 2014-16 that has spawned fears of leading to a pandemic. Vaccines such as the experimental rVSV-ZEBOV has provided protection in 70-80% of the cases, but such vaccines are in short supply and doubts exist of its availability and sustainability in pandemic cases. Peptide vaccines promise to amend this lacuna as a chemical construct that can be scaled up to requirement in manufacturing set-up, are easy to produce in pure form and store as well as transport much more easily and economically than traditional vaccines. Although no peptide vaccines have been licensed yet for human use, the rapid growth of applications of in silico approaches to peptide vaccine design and application to a myriad of virus infections, and subsequent follow-up experimental work, have led to expectations of licensures in the near future. We have proposed a protocol to automate the search procedure using mathematical and computational modelling approaches to generate peptide libraries that promote long life of such vaccines even in the face of rapid mutational changes in the viral sequences. In this paper, we outline the mathematical model we have used and the recent improvements in the techniques to ensure the best recommendations for peptide vaccine libraries, especially against the Ebola virus that threatens to spill over the Congo border and cause epidemics and pandemics in a globalized world. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper develops a general form of neutrosophic linear fractional programming (NLFP) problem and proposed a novel model to solve it. In this method the NLFP problem is decomposed into two neutrosophic linear programming (NLP) problem. Furthermore, the problem has been solved by combination of dual simplex method and a special ranking function. In addition, the model is compared with an existing method. An illustrative example is shown for better understanding of the proposed method. The results show that the method is computationally very simple and comprehensible. © 2020. In recent years, Internet of things have revolutionized the daily life operations by automating routine tasks, changing the way humans interact with each other or with machines. In fact, direct machine to machine interaction is a key enabling feature of IOTs. Their advantages span from small house hold devices to large industrial systems. Although IOTs provide numerous benefits, their implementation possesses different problems mainly because of the critical nature of the tasks they perform and due to their limited computational capabilities. The Blockchain is the future disruptive technology that has gained the interest of large number of industries to address the issues being faced by them. In this paper, we highlighted issues pertaining to the IOT domain and then analyzed the way how these can be solved using Blockchain features. In addition, we also highlighted the problems that arise with the deployment of Blockchain in IOTs. © 2019 IEEE.

In this report, barium titanate (BaTiO3) nanoparticles were synthesized at 200°C by sol-gel hydrothermal process and annealed at five different temperatures from 100-500°C. The sample synthesized at 200°C exhibited distorted cubic structure with a mishmash of tetragonal and orthorhombic phase which was analyzed from XRD studies. To further empathize its characteristic features, the samples were annealed for various temperatures. The grain size and lattice parameters of the annealed samples were calculated from the XRD spectrum. When the annealing temperature increases a non-uniformity in the grain size and lattice parameters was observed in the BaTiO3 nanoparticles. XRD also reveals that there was phase transition from distorted cubic to tetragonal phase and this phase was stable for all the annealed samples. The morphology of annealed barium titanate nanoparticles was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) which specifies the presence of spheres and rods. Optical studies were carried out by UV-Vis, Photoluminescence and Raman Spectroscopy. The change in non-linear optical (NLO) activity of BaTiO3 nanoparticles were studied using second harmonic generation (SHG). Samples that possess phase distortion produced SHG as it lacks center of symmetry. Remarkably, the annealing process created an effective atmosphere for the formation of single crystalline tetragonal phase within 300-500°C, which is normally possible only above 800°C. © 2023, The Authors. Many service-related tasks can now be completed swiftly and efficiently thanks to advancements in mobile communications. Mobile banking is one such solution that has eliminated the requirement for many ordinary transactions to be completed at a branch. Mobile phones can supplement the reach in a country like India, where the last mile is reached through brick-and-mortar banking facilities. This paper explains how a mobile cloud framework can be used for banking and customer services to improve the customer's banking experience while also assuring data security. This article focuses on cloud-based risk design for banking products to address challenges such as processing speed and storage capacity in mobile banking. The system is evaluated using an improved random forecast technique. This proposed system fulfils 99% of the accuracy. © 2021 IEEE.

Waste Cooking Oil Biodiesel: Its Testing, Performance and Emission in an Unaltered Diesel Engine

Rapid climate changes with global warming are the primary dispute of the recent era cause of diesel engine emission. Among the probable fuels, biodiesel is the most promising one as the alternative of petroleum diesel. Biodiesel can be formed from residue of cooking oil by transesterification. The reaction rate can be increased with alkali Catalyst at a 55 °C temperature. The actions of waste cooking oil biodiesel (WCOB) compared with petroleum diesel were performed to observe the nature of an unaltered stationary diesel engine. In this study the specific fuels are: B10 biodiesel-diesel blend contained 10% WCOB and petroleum diesel (B0).The performance of an unaltered diesel engine fuelled with WCOB blend is examined in this study. In order to find out the performance results constant engine speed (1500 rpm) is being maintained during the experiments under 0%, 25%, 50% and 100% load conditions. It has been observed that when the engine setup was fuelled with WCOB blend B10, the performance depleted at mid to top load conditions but no drastic reduction in emission.

In the present manufacturing industries hardened steels are most widely used in the applications like tool design and mould design. It enhances the application range of hard turning of hardened steels in manufacturing industries. This study discusses the impact of workpiece hardness, feed and depth of cut on Arithmetic mean roughness (Ra), root mean square roughness (Rq), mean depth of roughness (Rz) and total roughness (Rt) during the hard turning. Experiments have been planned according to the Box–Behnken design and conducted on hardened AISI4340 steel at 45, 50 and 55 HRC with wiper ceramic cutting inserts. Cutting speed is kept constant during this study. The analysis of variance was used to determine the effects of the machining parameters. 3-D response surface plots drawn based on RSM were utilized to set up the input–output relationships. The results indicated that the feed rate has the most significant parameter for Ra, Rq and Rz and hardness has the most critical parameter for the Rt. Further, hardness shows its influence over all the surface roughness characteristics. © 2018, The Institution of Engineers (India).

INTRODUCTION: SARS-CoV-2 is the latest virus responsible for an outburst of a unique respiratory infection identified as COVID-19. The virus popularly known as Corona Virus has spread quickly in recent days from China to several other countries around the world. Health is always of prime concern for mankind. Computing is playing an important role in improving the current state of the healthcare industry. OBJECTIVES: This paper focuses on summarizing the happenings about the coronavirus and the disease spread. This review study concentrates on the history of the virus, its technical details, the disease caused by the virus, its symptoms and precautions. The study also tries to develop an understanding of the role of technology in dealing with the outbreak, its impact in diverse fields, and the current state of the pandemic. METHODS: This work is an attempt towards presenting a perspective of computing and technology in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. RESULTS: This work presents a perspective showing technology in healthcare as a rescuer in such situations. In this survey, we simply discuss SARS-COV2 and COVID-19 from different perspectives in order to serve as a quick reference for the readers and to achieve a better insight into the fast-evolving pandemic. CONCLUSION: Social distancing, staying home and lockdowns are some known solutions to combat the pandemic in the absence of the vaccine, and technology can play a significant role in combating the pandemic. © 2020 Sunil Chawla et al., licensed to EAI.
