We utilize the amenability of the Fermi-type potential profile in Schrödinger equation to construct a symmetric one dimensional well as V (x)=-Un=[1 + exp[(jxj-a)=b]];Un=Vn[1 + exp[-a=b]]. We define α = a=b;βn=b p 2mUn=-, we find βn values for which critically the well has n-node half bound state at E=0. Consequently, this fixed well has n number of bound states. Also we obtain a semi-classical expression G(α;β) such that the Fermi well has either [G] or [G]+1 number of bound states. Here [:] indicates the integer part. We also confirm the consistency of G with the number of s-wave neutron energy levels in a central (x 2 (0;∞)) Fermi potential well. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Solvable model of bound states in the continuum (BIC) in one dimension

Historically, most of the quantum mechanical results have originated in one dimensional model potentials. However, Von-Neumann’s Bound states in the Continuum (BIC) originated in specially constructed, three dimensional, oscillatory, central potentials. One dimensional version of BIC has long been attempted, where only quasi-exactly-solvable models have succeeded but not without instigating degeneracy in one dimension. Here, we present an exactly solvable bottomless exponential potential barrier V (x) = −V0[exp(2|x|/a) − 1] which for E 0 has a continuum of non-square-integrable, definite-parity, degenerate states. In this continuum, we show a surprising presence of discrete energy, square-integrable, definite-parity, non-degenerate states. For E > V0, there is again a continuum of complex scattering solutions ψ(x) whose real and imaginary parts though solutions of Schrödinger equation yet their parities cannot be ascertained as Cψ(x) is also a solution where C is an arbitrary complex non-real number. Air Quality Index (AQI) is most powerful air quality measure for the common people which can judge the air quality within their locality. It can seem like "One Number - One Color - One Description" that tell people to take necessary precaution. Forecasting the value of atmospheric pollutants will always keep one step forward to safeguard for the urban-dwellers. The objective of our research is to predict the major atmospheric pollutants using exponential smoothing. Exponential smoothing is selected because it is easy to implement and also able to incorporate the trend and seasonality in the data. Furthermore, our research goal is not only forecast but also design fog enabled Internet of Things (IoT) system architecture for real-time processing of these pollutant values so that it save network bandwidth and reduce cost for data storage at cloud platform. These forecasted values will determine the green route in the urban city in near future.

In this paper, In Recent Year Machine learning plays important role in analyzing the various time of weather condition all around the world especially Indian Subcontinent. Data is available in the government website to analyze the data for few long years. This should be matched with UCI technique for the machine learning and obtain the condition of different level of data repository. Temperature and humidity level condition of different parameters were analyzed and taken as example of weather condition to monitor the weather condition. We need to design a model to fit the different condition and need to extrapolating the needs of information, and optimize the technique using some algorithm and variation should be targeted and value should be analyzed.

Screening of anxiety and depression among the seafarers using machine learning technology

Background: Seafarers are vulnerable to suffer from various mental health disorders, most commonly anxiety and depression. So, periodic screening for anxiety and depression, is necessary for health and well-being. Machine learning technology can be used as a quick and automated screening procedure to identify the at risk seafarers for early referral to psychological counselling and treatment. Objectives: To compare performance of different machine learning algorithms for screening of anxiety and depression among the seafarers. Methods: Total 470 seafarers were interviewed at Haldia Dock Complex, India, after taking necessary permission and ethical clearance. Various socio demographic, occupational, and health related information were collected. Then status of anxiety and depression was assessed by Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale. Five machine learning classifier i.e. Catboost, Logistic Regression, Naïve Bayes, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine, were evaluated using Python. Result: Catboost appeared to be the best one for this purpose with accuracy and precision 82.6% and 84.1% respectively. Conclusion: This research emphasizes the application of machine learning technology in the field of automated screening for mental health illnesses. Using this technology, time consuming, anxiety and depression screening procedure can be replaced by an automated computer based technique with reasonable amount of accuracy. © 2018

Hidden biometrics features may induce identification of a human being without using the visual structural features. The chances of forgery are reduced substantially through hidden biometrics. We are exploring the capabilities of brain structure to be used as biometric. For this we have estimated uniqueness between the structural features of human brains corresponding to different subjects. So qualifying and quantifying the uniqueness in structure of the brain should lead to subject identification. Subject identification has been done by the brain print extracted from brain structures. The proposed approach is reliable than brain signals based biometric techniques. Our aim is to extract non-linear curves having approximate brain structural information instead of considering brain to be of predefined abstract regular shapes. The results are optimistic as we are able to extract enough number of brain curves from a securely selected slice from complete brain map ensuring the scalability of the approach.

The work promotes reliable dynamical validations for transmitted e-documents using session wise randomly hidden secret multi-signatures. Client triggers this protocol by deriving the random circular sequencing of such invisible signatures onto the cover image e-document. Additional security and authenticity criteria met with dynamical orientations of hidden signature bits on concern sub block pixel bytes of the cover image. Vitally both these dynamical fabrications are fully governed by the respective mathematical operations executed on client-server based mutual secret key and session random challenge. Hence, same dynamical authentications for those valid copyright signatures can also be complied at the server end. Apart from that multi-copy signature dispersing with hosting of each individual signature copy on each separate regions of the cover image serves better authenticity and robustness under attacks. Further region wise varied transforms on sub image blocks with variable threshold range driven sign bit encoding on separate transformed pixel bytes of such sub blocks ensures excellent robustness and recovery of signatures. Finally, exhaustive experimental results also confirmed strong superiority of this scheme over existing works with significant enhancements on standard evaluation parameters. Overall, this protocol reflects better trusted authentication, confidentiality and non-repudiation for wireless digital transmissions in contrast to the current ideas.

Communication among several internet users has become more convenient through social networking sites to where each user sharing his own opinions on different matters, such as Healthcare, Education, marketing etc. The Objective of this paper is to present a method to make it easier for even a layman to predict and analyze one’s health issues on his own by making use of tweets on the social website ***. As far as methodology or techniques is concerned, an algorithm has been framed for the same to perform the analysis on health care tweets with association rules to classify the ailments and their symptoms using a corpus through fuzzy set and two step approach for Document Term Matrix & Term Document Matrix. The results demonstrate the comparison of different terms over the WordCloud which concludes that in this novel approach of two step authentication the average accuracy of association between the hiv ailments is 98% through correlation table and association between the HIV ailments with 98% correlation. © 2018 Mamta Mittal et al.

The paper presents a simple method to estimate the ultimate bearing capacity of a circular footing resting on a reinforced foundation bed (RFB) over soft non-homogeneous ground improved by a granular pile. The reinforced bed consists of a single layer of geosynthetic reinforcement embedded within granular fill. Meyerhof's theory for bearing capacity of footings on layered soils along with Madhav et al. 's solution for bearing capacity of granular pile-engineered ground form the basis of the analysis. The non-homogeneity of soft ground is represented by a linear increase of undrained shear strength with depth. The contribution from the frictional resistance mobilized along the planar surfaces of the reinforcement is incorporated in the formulation. Bearing capacity ratios are proposed to quantify the relative contributions of pile, fill and reinforcement towards the ultimate bearing capacity of the footing. Predictions compare fairly well with experimental results in literature. © 2018 19th ICSMGE Secretariat. All rights reserved.

Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM) is extensively used for machining of complex shapes in the field of die and mould making, medical, aerospace and automobile industries for machining of too hard materials. Improper selection of WEDM process parameters setting can affect the machining efficiency and surface roughness due to arcing phenomenon that lead by electrical discharge. Present study has been made to optimize the process parameters during machining of titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) alloy by WEDM using response surface methodology (RSM). Five input process parameters of WEDM namely Pulse on time, pulse off time, servo voltage, input power and wire tensionwere chosen as variables to study the process performance in terms of kerf width, material removal rate (MRR), surface roughness. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out to study the effect of process parameters on process performance and mathematical models havebeen developed for response parameters. Properties of the machined surface have been examined by the scanning electron microscope (SEM).The experimental results revealthat the kerf width increases as the pulse on time, input power, server voltage and wire tension increases and the MRR increases as the pulse on time and input powerincreases. It is observed that as the pulse on timeand input power increases, the surface roughness also increases. Further it is observed that as and when the wire tension and servo voltage increases the surface roughness decreases and it improves the quality of machined surface.
