Foraging Behavior in Ant Swarms can be very helpful when applied to the protocols in Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs). When the Ant Colony Optimization Scheme (ACO) is applied to a protocol, larger number of paths are generated from the source to destination which helps in improving the packet delivery ratio because an alternate back up path is always available in case a path gets broken due to the mobile nodes. In this paper, we apply the ACO scheme on an already existing Energy efficient protocol Conditional Max-Min Battery Capacity Routing (CMMBCR) (C.-K. Toh, 2001). The CMMBCR not only takes care of the total transmission energy in the network but also the residual battery capacity of the nodes. Hence applying ACO scheme on CMMBCR makes it more efficient in terms of energy, packet delivery ratio etc. The efficiency of our proposed protocol A-CMMBCR is then established by comparing it with some of the other existing Energy aware protocols such as Energy-Aware Routing protocol (EAAR) (Dhurandher et al., 2009), Minimum Transmission Power Routing (MTPR) (Scott and Bambos, 1996) and CMMBCR. The results are captured in the form of a graphical format.

A new MOS current mode logic (MCML) style exhibiting capacitive coupling to enhance the switching speed of the digital circuits is proposed. The mechanism of capacitive coupling and its effect on the delay are analytically modeled. SPICE simulations to validate the accuracy of the analytical model have been carried out with TSMC 0.18 μ m CMOS technology parameters. Several logic gates such as five-stage ring oscillator, NAND, XOR2, XOR3, multiplexer, and demultiplexer based on the proposed logic style are implemented and their performance is compared with the conventional logic gates. It is found that the logic gates based on the proposed MCML style lower the delay by 23 percent. An asynchronous FIFO based on the proposed MCML style has also been implemented as an application.

Software testing involves identifying the test cases which discover errors in the program. However, exhaustive testing of software is very time consuming. In this paper, a technique is proposed to prioritize test case scenarios by identifying the critical path clusters using genetic algorithm. The test case scenarios are derived from the UML activity diagram and state chart diagram. The testing efficiency is optimized by applying the genetic algorithm on the test data. The information flow metric is adopted in this work for calculating the information flow complexity associated with each node of the activity diagram and state chart diagram. If the software requirements change, the software needs to be modified and this requires re - testing of the software. Hence, to take care of requirements change, a stack based approach for assigning weights to the nodes of activity diagram and state chart diagram has also been proposed. In this paper, we have extended our previous work of generating test case scenarios from activity diagram by also considering the concurrent activities in nested activity diagram.

In this paper, we propose a technique for optimizing static testing efficiency by identifying the critical path clusters using genetic algorithm.
