Human pose estimation (HPE) from images or video is not only a major issue of computer vision, but also it plays a vital role in many real-world applications. The most challenging problems of human pose estimation are the disparity of poses, disturbing background clutter, different camera views, changes in scene lighting conditions, and occlusion. To solve these issues, a significant amount of research effort has been considered in the past. In this paper, we explore various vision-based activity recognition using 2D and 3D human pose estimations. We explore the conventional system, which includes both statistical and deep learning-based approaches for HPE, and then explore the current progress of each one in comparison to existing ones. At last, we also present various current state-of-the-art human activity recognition (HAR) techniques that use HPE for recognition. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The innovation for entrepreneurial systems and the advocacy to enact policies that institutionalise it had recently flooded the literature. Every system has fundamental principles responsible for their state, progress and change;such is the impact of the Igbo apprenticeship scheme on the entrepreneurial system. This has recently resulted in many scholars calling for government involvement through enacting policies that will make the scheme all-inclusive for sustainable economic growth in developing economies. Amongst the huge body of literature in its advocacy, none has addressed the question of the underlying principles for reproducing the relations in terms of the mathematical phenomena that the system embodies. This work shows that the success of the Ndịgbo apprenticeship hinges on certain defined underlying metaphorical mathematical functional patterns responsible for the strategic informal management behavioural model. The symbolic characteristics derived from the informal discipleship learning mode are activated for commerce, by young males and their hands-on in trading, with persistent cooperation, integrity, communication and collective purposeful attempts to succeed. The evidence of the model described is extracted from the explorative and exploitative trajectories that emerged from their goal-pursuing dedications to satisfy customer needs, with optimal methods for managing resources and building economies of scale, emerge. This is known as Ịgba-ọsọ-ahịa. This work reveals that Ịgba-ọsọ-ahịa embodies attributes of models that have shaped world-class productive systems such as (a) the geometrical Mandelbrot model, (b) Markov Chain variant with a backoff process, (c) stochastic nonlinear models, (d) network spatial model and (e) system computational model. Finally, a simplistic novel stochastic model of the socio-economic processes is developed to solve complex engineering decisions and hyperparameter optimisation problems in this work. © 2024 SAGE Publicatio

Railway accidents are an under-scrutinised cause of death in India. Train accidents are caused by various consequences of collisions, derailments, signal errors and so on. Furthermore, when train derailments become disastrous, they can have tremendous repercussions. It is practically difficult to identify the cause of the derailment efficiently within a limited period. In recent years, we have been making progress in reducing derailments, but even if not deadly, identifying faulty tracks can waste a lot of time and money. And doing this error-free is a pressing matter, as tracks always experience wear and tear with more usage. Here is where neural networks can pitch in their solution. We can train a model to look at train tracks and identify any issues. This paper goes into the methodology of achieving this and optimising a neural network to predict problems in the track with the best possible accuracy that images can provide. The objective of this paper is to identify, develop and optimise neural networks to detect faulty tracks. In this work, a good Convolution Neural Network model is developed to identify the crack in the railway track. The developed model produced 95.54% accuracy in fault classification. This review paper explores emerging threats to information privacy and security within the dynamic landscape of Online Social Networks (OSNs), which serve as repositories of vast amounts of user data. The rise in social media use emphasizes how crucial it is to inform users about the dangers that come with it, like cyber-attacks and privacy violations. Even though various social media platforms have been made possible by technological advancements, consumers’ ignorance of these platforms creates serious security risks. Although academics have come up with creative security solutions for social networks, there are obstacles in the way of their actual application. It is essential to continuously assess security vulnerabilities in light of technology improvements. This study examines several dangers to online social networks and suggests countermeasures based on a variety of models, frameworks, and encryption methods. Despite advancements, privacy concerns remain unaddressed, requiring parents to actively supervise their children’s online activity. © 2025 the Author(s).

In the era of digital transformation, the hospitality industry faces unique challenges and opportunities. With travellers increasingly relying on online reviews to make informed decisions, the role of sentiment analysis in the hotel sector has never been more critical. This comprehensive research aims to provide a profound understanding of sentiment analysis in the context of hotel reviews and delves into preprocessing and the application of state-of-the-art sentiment analysis techniques. The sentiment analysis model, based on SVM, achieved promising results in categorizing hotel reviews into positive, negative sentiments. The evaluation metrics indicate an accuracy of 82%. Visualizations such as the confusion matrix and ROC curve further demonstrate the model's effectiveness in distinguishing between positive and negative sentiments. The findings of this research shed light on the distribution of sentiments in hotel reviews, providing actionable insights for the hospitality industry. © 2024 IEEE.

Agriculture is a key component of a nation's economy. In the traditional method, farmers rely on experience to determine the ideal climate and environment for a given crop. technology is advancing, and while the system depends on it to some extent, improvements are still required. This study presents an Internet of Things (IoT) based crop recommendation system that uses Machine learning (ML) to use the value that IoT devices collect from the soil. Initially, we utilized baseline ML classifier models like Support vector machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN), Random forest (RF), and Random forest (NB).Then we employed an ensemble model to detect the suitable crops. We employed several IoT sensors in our research. The DHT11 sensor collects real-time environmental data, such as temperature and humidity. During crop recording, vital soil parameters like potassium and phosphorus - which are essential for crop growth - are measured using an NPK sensor, a pH sensor, and a rain sensor. These sensors can be seamlessly integrated by the IoT device, offering an effective way to collect crucial agricultural data. The Voting Base Ensemble performs exceptionally well in terms of precision, recall, and F1 score measures. The voting Base Ensemble algorithm improves metrics such as F-score, recall, and precision by up to 98%. A thorough evaluation of soil conditions is made possible by the integration of various sensors, and the application of an ensemble model enables accurate crop recommendations based on environmental factors. © 2024 IEEE.

Mental health challenges are growing in recent years, emphasizing the need for effective monitoring and inter- vention systems. This paper presents a comprehensive approach to detect mental unstabilities by analyzing the text entered by the user. Utilizing a combination of sentiment analysis and machine learning techniques, the proposed system preprocesses text data to extract sentiment scores and other key features, which are then used to train models for accurate mental health assessments. The system also offers personalized recommendations based on the user's mental state. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach, with the model achieving accuracy of 82.31% for negative text classification. These results underscore the potential of the system to serve as a valuable tool in the early detection and management of mental health issues. © 2024 IEEE.

Emotions are a vital semantic part of human correspondence. Emotions are significant for human correspondence as well as basic for human–computer cooperation. Viable correspondence between people is possibly achieved when both the importance and the emotion of the correspondence are perceived by all groups included. Understanding the significance of language has generally been concentrated on in natural language processing (NLP) as a semantic examination. In NLP, the text can be handled appropriately for classification. Emotion detection from facial emotion is the subfield of social signal processing applied in a wide assortment of regions, explicitly for human and PC collaboration. Many researchers have proposed various approaches, generally utilizing machine learning concepts. Automatic emotion recognition (AER) is significant for working with consistent intuitiveness between a person and a smart device toward fully acknowledging an intelligent society. Many researchers examined cross-lingual and multilingual speech emotion as a stage toward language-free emotion acknowledgment in natural speech. In the present work, we are proposing a deep learning-based AER system using four openly accessible datasets, namely Basic Arabic Vocal Emotions Dataset (BAVED), Acted Emotional Speech Dynamic Database (AESDD), Urdu written in Latin/Roman Script (URDU), and Toronto Emotional Speech Set (TESS), by utilizing the Jupyter notebook and a Python library for music and audio synthesis named Librosa. The experimental results exhibited that the proposed approach achieves better than the existing approaches, i.e., the accuracy of the proposed system with the URDU dataset is 96.24%, the TESS dataset is 99.10%, the AESDD dataset is 65.97%, and the BAVED dataset is 73.12%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Nowadays,smart buildings rely on Internet of things(loT)technology derived from the cloud and fog computing paradigms to coordinate and collaborate between connected *** is characterized by low latency with a wider spread and geographically distributed nodes to support mobility,real-time interaction,and location-based *** provide optimum quality of user life in moderm buildings,we rely on a holistic Framework,designed in a way that decreases latency and improves energy saving and services efficiency with different *** EVent system Specification(DEVS)is a formalism used to describe simulation models in a modular *** this work,the sub-models of connected objects in the building are accurately and independently designed,and after installing them together,we easily get an integrated model which is subject to the fog computing *** results show that this new approach significantly,improves energy efficiency of buildings and reduces ***,with DEVS,we can easily add or remove sub-models to or from the overall model,allowing us to continually improve our designs.
